Am I the only one who dreaded watching Feng Jiu and Di Jun? In TMOPB, I mostly skimmed their scenes. I know the story is different in Eternal Love of Dream. I just can't stand Female Leads who bend over backwards and becomes an apparent floor mat for the Love Interest. Too many of those over the years, and I've grown a distaste. I couldn't even get past episode 1 for Eternal Love of Dream. I will probably go back and watch the scene with Bai Qian. I dropped DOTS too. I felt their chemistry was forced and the overall story bland. Glad for its' success and what not though.
I'm weird because I also drop dramas that I DO like lol. I think it may have something to do with by subconscious not wanting the story to end or I don't know, I probably just get distracted by a new, "shiny" drama. OR it's already so good so far so let's not ruin it by watching the middle episodes toward the ending where it's highly possible the show will go down hill!
It's easy for me to drop dramas I don't care for at all, if it doesn't interest me, or main characters annoy me. I dropped a lot of popular ones because of my tastes!
I loved this drama from the get go. Zhao Yao was introduced so bad ass and Mo Qing was just a smol bean. I found some translated chapters of Ostentatious Zhao Yao, but couldn't find the rest to finish. I enjoy almost every novel Jiu Lu Fei Xiang writes. While most watchers are eager to find the next BL drama or Bromance drama, I've always craved for female centric dramas. The friendship between Zhao Yao and Zhi Yan was refreshing and sweet! Both polar opposites coming to care for each other and make each other strive to be their better selves. The main complaints I have about the drama was the unnecessary filler scenes and bad editing, and ofc the bland ending to the wonderful journey. Nevertheless, The Legends will be one of my favorite C-dramas ever. Plus, Bai Lu and Lu Kai kiss scenes wooo~ Their chemistry was on fire!
you realize that she is an actor acting to a script of a story ....She is not actress....each script characters…
Just... the way she portrayed them. Hmm... which is acting as the character who is different from the actor. I think she did great as Zhi Yan. Her character matches the original concept in the novel. She's supposed to be a wishy washy, weak-willed character, and... she did just that? As Xiao Qing in the newest adaptation of Madame White Snake, she was the only one to bring color to the screen. I mean her castmates fell in comparison (Alan Yu & Ju Jingyi). I just think it's premature to not like an actress based off of her roles such as people hating Bambi Zhu for playing the villainess Xuan Nu in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. ??♀️
Why do they suddenly keep hiring Leo Luo as male lead after he became well known in ashes of love. Did you see…
I guess that's your opinion? I think casting directors tend to choose who they feel is best for the role. He's not gonna kill it every time, but he has a track record of portraying very well done highly intense emotional scenes and still very likeable conflicted characters.
Oh my gosh... Another drama adaptation from the wonderful writer, Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. This novel, The Parting of the Orchid and Cang, I haven't finished it, but it is very enjoyable and hilarious. Ostentatious Zhao Yao will be my favorite from her novels, although the drama adaptation was marred towards the end. I hope the casting is solidify soon if it will be Wang Yibo and Zhao Lusi. I'm definitely looking forward to this!
Well... now it is Wu Jin Yan as co-lead and Xu Kai and her both starred in Yanxi Palace, and have the same following…
No offense taken. Yu Zheng has never been a professional in the field and likes to take other people's work to monetize off of and don't give a crap about having to be reprimanded. Even so, I was excited that Bai Lu and Xu Kai would be casted together once again, even if it was just what Yu Zheng felt like saying that particular day.
I do see what you mean about how the perspective of love evolves, and I agree with you. My intention was absolutely…
Did you delete your original post or something? I don't see it up anymore. And also the author, Lily_B, is only making a fun, light-hearted quiz for us to enjoy about drama characters in relation to our answers, which we all know that drama characters are mostly configured caricatures for entertainment. I like Xu Kai and Bai Lu too but can they at least have a few dramas with different actors? In the short term,…
Well... now it is Wu Jin Yan as co-lead and Xu Kai and her both starred in Yanxi Palace, and have the same following of fans shipping them. I, and like other fans who like Xu Kai and Bai Lu together, only had our hopes up because their boss, Yu Zheng, adamantly announced that the drama will star the two. There is nothing wrong with them acting alongside new co-leads. Obviously, certain fans will have favorites like Xing Zhao Lin and Jie Liang, who already have 4 dramas together. I'm looking forward to Love is Sweet with Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi and her other dramas that aren't airing yet.
