There is no FL. If she was listed as a support roll what would the issue be? Currently, as PeachBlossomGoddess suggests - maybe its time to take it up with her agent. Assuming they had a look at the script and the depth, or lack thereof, of her involvement and screentime then maybe booking her as the FL was way off the mark. The drama has not and will not get to the NW story.

Don't mind it but don't love it so it is leaving me dissapointed. Wanted to love. Waited to love it. That is probably my biggest problem with the drama at the mo. Its just not 'there'. Will continue to watch and see how it goes. And, it does not bother me at all to have to suspend belief in the female character as a man and/or general. Taking it at face value.

it is better than the current rating. though, for me, its more like a 8.0/8.1 at this point. the group dynamics is one of the best parts with each giving their acting all. am tired of the poisen troupe spin.

agree. the war scenes in the dongue are more dense, intense, colour saturated and 'real'. in some instances they are actually 'smoother' actioned too.

Not a big fan of Yang Yang though he is truly perfect for this roll. He really is HL. Helps to make a mediocre drama bearable.

he says no and she does not change her behavior during the fated encounters. she is 100% hung up on him and does chase him when they meet. put it into the context of the 'time' they are living in.

Its both their responsibilities. Its not going to happen. It is she who pushes it when they have 'accidental' encounters. If it were the other way around would it be considered offensive? How many ways and times does he have to say get over it? Even if he does have feelings for her. That is not the point. His focus is on cultivation. He has nothing to offer her.

well done. 😁 i seem to be loosing at the positve game on this drama. its been frustrating beyond to say the least. arghhhhhhh.

yes, lets get to the point: the CGI sucks. no question. biting my tongue and trying to stay positive. its hard for me to do with this drama.

given the attitude; here is a clue - make the commitment like the rest of us and read it your self! start with the end of the first novel and move on to the sequal novel for your Fairy Violet Spirit / Zi Ling married to and relationship w/ HL answer. be forwarned - as an avid reader it will take you the better part of a year if not longer to finish one novel. good luck.

They had a very brief affair and eventually were husband and wife. There was no official wedding . It was a private ceremony.

Mu Peiling was an inactive concubine (no physical contact). HL relationship with Mu Peiling was complicated - starting with a manipulation on her part, moved to an inactive concubineship, moved to HL agreeing to keep her as a concubine if she changed her practice to 'physical cultivation' due to his needs to reach a higher level. In the end, he did not need her as he reached the level on his own and the connection (forced by Mu Peiling) was finally abandoned. They never had romance, a relationship, physical contact, etc. They were in fact never truly a couple.

FVS, HL second wife, was not originally written/designated as a Mo reincarnation. It was the fanbase that insisted on it due to 'detective work' and the writer eventually said okay if you all need her to be then she is.

good question and convo. one of the problems with the drama is its a slice of time that does not provide enough backward/forward viewing of the characters. it also does not explain the progress of HL cultivation and the implications of the events that occur on his cultivation in the drama. you can get a good dose of it in the dongue and way more than you would probably want in the novels.
