Speaking about age, I felt sad when LGX himself said in the viu interview that he was under a great mental burden about the fact that he is getting older and he doesn't think xianxia suits him anymore. The only reason he agreed for Shen Li was because of ZLY and because his character, XZ is an ancient deity, and was supposed to look somewhat seasoned. Not to mention that there are people who are already making fun of it. Also, recently I saw that some ZLY and LGX cp fans were pissed about the fact that LGX might have a girlfriend and started bashing him in the comment section of his weibo post. It is so ridiculous that people fail to draw a line between drama and personal life. It's things like these that reduce the possibility of any future collaborations.
I really feel sad saying this but there is almost no possibility of season two😭😭😭. The drama already covers the original work. Not to mention that the biggest treat of TLOSL was reuniting the two leads who have worked together in the drama Princess Agents before. Both the leads said in their interviews that even if they were to collaborate for a third time, it would not be a costume drama anymore.

I feel so bad for Feng Lai. To me he was the most tragic character in the entire show. Bro basically didn't commit any crime, whole heartedly loved a person, got willingly imprisoned for so many years so that the person he loves and her clan can live peacefully. But when he finally came out of imprisonment, only to find that the person he loved has died. Then again sacrificed his life for his daughter ( because he knew LY loved their daughter).

I haven't watched the video on youtube because I don't want to contribute to the views. But from what I have learned in this discussion, she is primely focusing on the visuals as a reason for not watching this drama. Like saying LGX looks fat and ZLY has too much filter on. But even though her channel is popular, I am still optimistic about the fact that since TLOSL has gained significant popularity, people who watch drama not just to see pretty faces on the screen but also for the storyline will definitely give it a shot.

SL's mother removed that pearl but she still had her aura. So to suppress that remaining demonic aura, her master taught her with the opposing cultivation. If people realized that she was the daughter of a beast created by LM, she might have faced discrimination or pursued by people who would want to harm/kill her. That's why you will notice her master was always wary of XZ because being a god it's easier for him to find out about her origins. He might have killed her.
Today XZ declared that he would attack the heavenly realm if they tried to separate him and SL. He even sent a wave of his power which made all those useless diviners fall down lol. In the novel that she also made a barrier of fire which made the heavenly emperor step back.

Even though I would have loved to see a bit more of their kiss scene but ig given the circumstances, this was fine. Zhang Linghe's character Xie wei had more of a dark and complex personality. So that kiss was meant to show how obsessive or manipulative he can be. Can't really compare.
