That is so weird. Firstly, people must be blind to think that he is fat. And secondly, I don't understand how can someone very youthful-looking and skinny be portrayed as an ancient god who has lived for eons. For me, it's like XZ was meant to be played by LGX.

She did lose him once as XY though. I feel like it's more because XZ has lived for thousands of years as a loner, being always bound by the duties of the three realms. He did not have anyone to love and be loved and cherished in return. His friends died and those sick people in the heavenly realm only wanted to use him because of his powers. He spent his days in boredom but he did long for companionship. But when he finally met Shen Li who brought out emotions from him, he always tried to avoid it because of the consequences. So when he thought she died, the only person who he ever longed for in eons was gone. It was like the last straw breaking and all the pent-up emotions rushing out of him at once. But Shen Li on the other hand was brought up by Shen Mu Yue who was like a mother to her. Plus she had her friends and clansmen who loved and respected her. So in my opinion she was never as lonely as XZ was. So might be the difference in reaction. Who knows we might get to see that insane side of SL in the end.

Teaser of ep 31 looks interesting..........And the look of pride and awe on XZ's face when SL was using her powers. Man be like "Yes that's my girl!!!"

Yes if they don't cut those scenes out, I'm sure we are gonna get a detailed ending. There are quite a few scenes in the trailer which are from the epilogue chapter, them running in fur coat and XZ hugging SL from back to warm himself up, and those shameless and proposal scenes that is mentioned. Plus Mu Zi Chun is there in the cast list. So I am staying hopeful about it.

Agree. Plus for people who are saying he is useless, he sealed the Xutian Abyss, cleared the miasma, helped Shen Li recover within three days when she was attacked by that demon, destroyed an entire sect when she got injured, and healed her, saved her from the powerful fireballs. Shen Li is not someone who needs a knight in shining armor to come save her but he is always there for her whenever she needs him. When he heard she died, he couldn't hold it anymore and froze the entire sea to search for her. And we know that he could have used his powers and found her, but that would mean the three realms would perish. And he knows that is not something Shen Li herself would want him to do. Is it that hard for people to understand simple logic?

Yaa I also try to ignore. But randomly seeing these comments kinda annoyed me. It's one thing to give constructive criticism and another thing to spread hate and false information. I just saw some dude commenting about how XZ is useless because he couldn't find SL in time!

I can't with people who are still saying XZ is useless. Like come on, are you even watching the show or just here to spread false information?

You will get to know this in the end. In the end, XZ will die, and then when he is revived, he loses his status as an ancient god. SL and XZ will spend their time happily in the mortal realm when he asks her to fulfill these two wishes:
1. Asking her to help him pick grapes, every summer, in the future.
2. Have as many kids as a bunch of grapes (my personal favourite lol).

Now that you mention it, I am almost sure that we are going to a detailed happy ending

The end is nearing:( I swear the withdrawal syndrome is gonna hit so badly. The last time I liked a drama this much and watched every bit of it without skipping even once was Back from the brink. And it took me so many days to recover from its withdrawal syndrome.

I feel like 39 episodes are too less for this drama and I want to see more of them. The 40 episode rule of Chinese drama has both pros and cons. While some good dramas would turn draggy and boring if extended more, I feel I could easily watch a few more episodes of Shen Li's epic fight scenes or both of them teasing each other.

Also I am so happy about the ratings going up. This drama deserves every bit of 8.7 and more!!!!

Todays's episodes!!!!!!!!!!! I can't. My stomach is paining from all the laughter. My roommate looked at me as if I had gone crazy lol. It was so funny to see SL teasing XZ and XZ also sticking to his fisherman role so faithfully. Loved everything about both episodes, all the teasing, the way XZ took care of SL, Furong supporting both of them, SL trying hard to get back on her feet, and both XZ and SL slapping the village chief's son. The teaser of episode 29 looked so cute. Seriously, every episode I think that it cannot get better than this and then the next episode surprises me. Also, the cave scene all of us are so desperately waiting for is around the corner!!!!!!!

You are more than welcome to express your views and opinions here. But please at least get the facts right. She didn't fall for him because he can cook well. She fell for him because he is the first person ever to show her gentleness. He saved her life, took care of her, and protected her when she had no powers and was in her phoenix/chicken form. And he was just a mortal reincarnation in the mortal realm so you cannot expect him to do more. Once he dies and goes back to the heaven is when he gets his powers back. I won't say much but as an example he basically destroyed an entire sect when Shen Li got injured. He doesn't need to go around showing off his godly powers until needed.

No, not a sad ending but a rushed one where a white-haired XZ will come back and reunite with SH (was a part of a trailer) . But yaa I agree with you, not only that XZ and SH will not be together peacefully in the mortal realm until XZ is no longer an ancient god. (we know they both are bound by their duties) Even I don't expect them to do that but we never know. I just saw too many spoiler clips on Twitter which made me overthink lol.

Like lady Jin's wedding scene. SL and XZ will attend the ceremony and there will be some cute moments between them. Like the cave scene where XZ and SL are wearing fur coats and XZ hugs SL from behind to warm himself up. Also there might be a scene where XZ will ask SL to marry him. I actually don't want or expect them to show this scene in this fisherman village arc since they both are burdened by their responsibilities and won't be together properly until XZ loses his status as an ancient god.

Why do I have a feeling that they might include the scenes from the conclusion in this fishing village arc itself :(

I was waiting for 26 since ages!!! XZ has always been caring towards SL but he was burdened by his duties towards the 3 realms and couldn't do it openly till now . My heart couldn't take it anymore when he called her Ah Li and hugged her. For me, that scene was even more beautifully done than written in the novel since they added a few more dialogues for Xing Zhi. The ending was hilarious. And that's how folks, we are back to their comedic era again!!!!!!

Really hope so. Plus she knows that the fans of her last drama with LGX, Princess Agents were sad because of the cliffhanger ending. So this time I hope she will give us a proper ending.
