Itâs a nice drama! I really liked the main pairing, though it didnât gave me butterflies. Dai Duo and Shang Shangâs relationship was my favorite, so pure and heartwarming! My only two complains is that i personally think the break up reason was SO rushed and silly compared to other drama with meddling parents, and above all, i donât get the ManMan redemption arc at all. I hated the way the drama portrayed the things she did as just âa girl trying to go after her dreamsâ when she was a snake towards Wei Zhi since the first episode. Other than that, itâs a nice drama to pass the time, the romance is good and Esther is completely adorable in this!
iâve dropped it because the acting of some characters - specially oh hyun jae - felt a little too theatrical for me, and it wasnât very thrilling. i donât know if it gets better later on, but i hope so. i prefer my thrillers a little more scary and with more suspense, so this just wasnât for me.
i didnât like it at first, but ended up loving it! the concept was very fun, it was filmed beautifully (I LOVE the colors) and the plot was very interesting. however, i didnât really love the pace on the last two episodes. personally, i think they shouldâve done maybe 8-10 eps so it didnât feel so rushed. but overall, itâs a really great watch.
It felt horribly wrong not to rate it the highest rating possible. By no means itâs perfect - there are some aspects that couldâve been better portrayed, yes - but itâs such an mesmerizing, mind blowing show that everything pales in comparison. i tried to watch this back in 2021 and dropped by the first episode. decided to pick up these days and iâm so glad i did. It's one of the very few dramas for me where the characters feel like real people. they grow on you for better or worse. Also, the child actors for the main character's younger version's were amazing. i didn't expect that at all. I disagree with the opinion that knowing or having an inkling about the plot twists makes the show bad. personally, i think if major plot points are not foreshadowed AT ALL it's simply bad writing. the whole point of criminal investigation shows as an audienceâs point of view is to try to guess the truth about the cases, and i feel this is perfectly done in Mouse. i think the way the clues were displayed was brilliant and made the experience of watching this drama very entertaining for me. the only down side is the fact that it couldâve been an 16 episode drama. i feel that in the first half the episodes were very fast paced, filled with action and amazing turn of events, but on the second half it got a bit slower. it wouldâve worked better if they had lessened the amount of eps, pushing the plot forward in the same intense way as it was in the beginning. But, overall, itâs a really great drama! probably the best of its genre in Korea. a 10/10 for me.
this is so underrated! it deserves more recognition for sure. main couple is SO domestic and cute towards each other from episode 1, they have REAL chemistry. not to mention theyâre actually GOOD actors. i was 100% intrigued by the progress of their relationship during the whole show, and didnât find it boring at all. itâs slow paced, but i think it matches the whole soft cozy vibe of the drama. the only thing i disliked was the actor they had as the guitar teacher. i donât know his age, but when he was a teacher he looked age appropriate for the job, but then he got into the idol group and he looked waaaaay older then the other members. they all looked like early 20âs but he seemed to stand out as maybe 30âs or smth? this is just a little casting detail tho, so itâs meaningless to the story. overall, it was a really short, good watch. wasnât expecting to like it this much! 100% recommend if youâre looking for a sweet drama, with no complicated plot lines.
i wish i liked it more, because i genuinely think the main actors have great chemistry and both are such good actors. i was mesmerized by their interactions, they were absolutely the cutest thing. However, it was like something was amiss. for 8 episodes it felt like nothing was really happening except for that weird love triangle vibe (love rectangle?) that just kept going on and on until episode 7. sometimes i felt like MC had more heartwarming scenes and was way more caring towards the friend than ML, and that threw me off a bit. i think itâs a good, short one, but if you compare to other recent Kbls (and itâs impossible not to) itâs just feels like something is lacking.
itâs not that is bad, itâs just that thereâs something missing for me. it may be cause as much as i liked the characters in a general way and wanted them to be together, both of them kept annoying me for different reasons and i didnât love them or felt really passionate about their story. the first chapters were fine, entertaining and enjoyable, quite fun. meanwhile the last ones not so much. the way they finished inamiâs story, kind of humanizing him wasnât my favorite. also, the drama in the last two episodes was very unnecessary to me and made me dislike kabu a tiny bit for a second, but in the end i was satisfied with how things wrapped up. itâs short, so it was easy to watch in one go, and despite the fact that it feels a little underwhelming, itâs very cute and is enjoyable if youâre not expecting a romance masterpiece.
i liked it, but i think it was so hyped that i ended up expecting too much of it so i was a little bit disappointed. there were some pros and cons. i really liked pavelâs character, i like him as an actor and i think he did a great job, his acting evolved a lot. i also like the whole car racing theme. itâs such a fresh concept and itâs what lots of bls lack these days. it was essentially what got me intrigued about this drama in the first place. however, i think the plot got a little messy and repetitive by the 6th episode and i got a bit bored by it. i also think they explored too little of the a/b/o aspect. i didnât read the novel so i donât know how is it portrayed there, but watching the series i often forgot it was in an a/b/o setting and only remembered when babeâs said anything about being an alpha here and there. overall, the characters are likeable as a whole, and i wasnât upset with how things went for way - i see why ppl like him, but at the same time i canât justify/condone the things he did, and i donât particularly feel his end was unfair or that he needed another arc at all. honestly, i just think that this show could be done better. it had too much potential, and even though it was not bad by any means, i just feel like iâve finished more bc i cared about the characters than i cared about what was happening with the plot. if you donât go in this with high expectations, itâs quite an enjoyable show though.
i was on the fence about watching this one bc of the ratings/reviews but iâm SO glad i did. this is so good, easily in my top 3 now. their chemistry was so insane and they were so comfortable with each other that the fact they didnât kiss didnât make a huge difference for me in the end. i saw so many comments about the lack of kissing/intimate scenes that i thought the drama would be lackluster, but after actually watching it, i realized that it didnât affect the plot the way iâve imagined at all. you can clearly feel their intense chemistry and the characterâs feelings even then. i love dramas that are able to encompass that âyouthâ and âfirst loveâ atmosphere and this is just perfect, even though it made me emotional and i cried bc of it a few times. iâm also so surprised with their acting! i know theyâre in a kpop group and idk if they acted before or not, but they were great - there wasnât any of that âfirst roles awkwardnessâ and i was able to feel immersed on the story during all of it. my only complain is the amount of episodes, i really wish there were more. this is a gem, honestly! deserves a way higher/better rating and more recognition.
seeing this drama with the 8.1 rating physically pains me. this is worth SO much more. i donât get peopleâs ratings in mdl at all and this just proves it. this has to be one of the - if not THE BEST written korean bl drama of all times. i wasnât expecting much so i was caught by surprise with how deep it gets, and how the show approaches psychological issues, depression, trauma and loss of loved ones in such a raw, real and emotional way. i could talk for HOURS about every single aspect that makes this drama so good. the chemistry between the main characters is top tier. ji hyun is the best guy ever, the most comprehensive, loyal person, and the actor for jae won did such an amazing job portraying such a complex character, it amazed me. ji hyun little friend group is so heartwarming, and in a general way, all characters are so interesting, and they feel so real. this is one of the very few dramas you can actually see and feel their feelings for each other and how it develops to actual love, and itâs very touching. even the two antagonists (the terrible friend and the annoying ex) are great in their characterization, they sure made me hate them. i even like the therapist, and donât actually agree with all the opinions on how she was useless. i mean, how can a therapist be ânot effective?â. itâs not her place to make decisions for him. she always gave it to him straight, she even told him he was being selfish, deciding their future without taking ji hyunâs feelings in consideration. however she canât force him to act one way or another, neither she can tell him exactly what to do, this is not what therapy is for. itâs also not a magical process that is gonna solve every single question in a heartbeat. i agree they made her character seems a little sketchy and all, but i donât see much issue with her at the end of the day. for me, this drama is a masterpiece. 10/10
