It is a very very short manga and this series has added a LOT to the original plot. But so far they've adapted…
LOL You've misinterpreted what I said LOL A lot of people cry a lot cause it shows them aging and one dying before, therefore they find the ending bittersweet
This one is a Filipino gay series, not really a BL series.
It is not very different in fact if you're talking about comics and or books, the difference stands out when we see series, cause lack of funding afects heavily Thai BL and they just adapt the easiest ones, aka what we understand as Thai BL (engeneering, fluffy stories). These are just a small fraction of Thai BL, they just don't have the money to adapt the vast marjority of the novels.

"Boys Love" is a demographic of publication os manga on its origin. Obviously it will include products/storylines that pleases this demographic. In Japan there are a lot of these, like shounen (stories of young males for young males), shoujo (stories of young girls for young females), seinen (writen for adult males), boys love (formely known as shounen-ai and yaoi, mlm stories writen for female audience), geicomi (pejoratively called Bara, mlm stories writen for gay men).
So not all mlm stories are boys love in Japan (Kinou Nani Tabeta is seinen, Banana Fish is shoujo, etc...) and the same goes for novels in Thailland (there called Y novels) and web comics and novels in China e S. Korea.
The idea that boys love is necessarily romantic is a missconception, we have stories like Double Mints, Killing Stalking, The Effect that are BLs, but aren't romantic at all.
The idea of demographic gets lost when we talk about movies/series, so there is confusion even in Japan and Thailand how to categorize when we're discussing live actions. When people from countries without the tradition of publications (novels/comics) talks about BL, we tend to use it as a genre foucused on idealistic mlm relationship, but that's not really what it is.
Since there's no consensus about how to handle this discussion, there's no right or wrong. If the creators of Unlocked advertise it as a BL, there's no problem with that. If they didn't, we could easily say that it is not a BL, but a LGBT themed series.
PS: series like Ossan's Love, Club Friday and Grey Rainbow all thought sometimes people categorize them as BL, they weren't released as such by their companies.

BL being treated as a genre is something new, mostly happens in some countries without the tradition of publishing BLs such as the west and Phillipines. BL is a demographic, not a genre, so it can be romance, action, horror, etc...

Being BL ain't really about being imature/not mature (just see Life Senjou no Bokura or Sei no Gekiyaku, both are BLs but one is very reallistic and mature and the other twisted and sadist), but I agree this is a gay themed series too hahahaha
Can someone explain to me why the doctor does this to him? Why is he torturing him? And why are they together…
What I got was that the brother (or the ex) of the doctor suicided and the doctor went nuts with all this cherish your life in the best Jigsaw way. Then they stay together cause the doctor becomes suicidal too so they cling to each other as a form to reconcile with the traumas they went throught.
I'm surprised I kinda liked it????? Obviously is not for everyone, but I didn't see any glamourification and/or…
The plot twist is really interesting, I would have like it more if it kept the thriller/exploitation atmosphere at the last quarter, but it seems a good sexual horror/thriller, better than the ones Scud makes.
If you guys want to watch the movie here’s a site down below right now it’s in raw but later on it might be…
I'm surprised I kinda liked it????? Obviously is not for everyone, but I didn't see any glamourification and/or estheticization of the scenes (at least without subs).
I get that people are understandably mad at Akira for what he did, but as someone who has had to live so much…
People who don't understand Akira proably live on countries where mlm relationships are well accepted. On the most part of the world, Akira's atitude is perfectly understandable. People keep on asking for realistic depiction of mlm on BLs and when they get (like on this and DBK) they complain LOL
I think the production team is really something when you think about the broadcasting rights they sold with this…
Trying to see the silver linnings... maybe with this other mainland China BLs can make it throught? I believe they'll keep doing small stuff since they can't get funding, but at least there is hope (?)

But Black Sheep could have given the actors an 1080p web cam hahaha Some scenes are very grainy.
