I'll and Ha Hyun Sang are the two vocalists that getting swept under the rug even though they won the show. Their talent, their vocals, and their contribution to OST songs are so beautiful. I hope that all the members get their well-deserved recognition one day
haha yes! She did give off creepy stalker vibes, which I mentioned on my 2019 review. 2019 Luo Zhi still trumps…
I wouldn't say I have a favorite that I have to watch their works but I follow the general news of which works they've accepted/when it's airing. I'd say for actors, I gravitate to Lee Jun Ki a lot. I usually start his shows while they're airing because I'm so excited but end up not following through to the end. They're on hold though, not dropped! xD Most of them are action based and the plot seems interesting.
For actresses, I unintentionally have been following Zhao Liying's works ever since Legend of Lu Zhen. I've started a lot of her shows as well and dropped/stopped them for various reasons.

I feel like I've been watching dramas my whole life. I've jumped in and out of different types of dramas and countries throughout the years. Haha I'd say we have good tastes to follow good dramas xD
I'm currently watching L&R right now. Decided to just start from the beginning since I wasn't too far off from the start. I'll let you know my thoughts on it once more juicy things occur in the drama.

I'll definitely come and let you know my thoughts then. I do enjoy talking to people while watching. My friends and I used to send each other drama recaps on how we felt when we were watching it. That only applied to dramas we both were watching though. Lately we haven't been doing that.
Of course! I'm been trying to compile a list of dramas that are my favorites. It's quite hard when I'm actually sitting down and putting it together. But your comment just motivated me to actually push my private draft list to public. I'll be adding as I go but so far these are the ones that I can think of and have lists for. 1. Chinese - Historical : https://kisskh.at/list/10dwpQq1 2. Korean - Historical : https://kisskh.at/list/3Dg6n99L

Lol! Sounds like you really enjoyed it. I'm hitting a dry spell on what's actually intriguing to watch. I might push this one to the top of my list and watch it next or Do You Like Brahms. Depending on my mood when I actually sit down for it. I'm quite excited for it, I'll let you know how it goes.
Dropped this, agree it was very boring and this is just my opinion but did not like FL at all and felt the relationship…
I didn't find their relationship creepy but more weird than anything, as I felt like their relationship was really more master/servant. I think it was because there were really no chemistry or justification as to why they have feelings for one another. It felt like the writers were like, they should having feelings, so they're now a couple.

I find myself drawn to historical dramas more. It's probably the esthetics of it all that captures me. Love & Redemption was one where I paused at ep 3 because I got into it before it got popular and there were slow subs. When it blew up, I decided to wait on it and I think hearing the mixed reviews are making me iffy on watching it. What's your take on this one?
haha yes! She did give off creepy stalker vibes, which I mentioned on my 2019 review. 2019 Luo Zhi still trumps…
same here! There's very few on rare occasions that I can follow religiously on a weekly airing basis. The most recent time I did that I ended up quite disappointed (kdrama: Start Up), so I haven't done that since.

I didn't know that Zhao Lusi withdrew from the role. :( It'll surely have a different feel if she's not a part of it.
lol! Frustrating leads seems to be an issue for everyone then. I actually never finished any adaptations for You Are My Destiny. I started the Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai versions but I don't think I got further than then living together for them. I never even got to the miscarriage part. xD I don't think the story's bad. The issue was watching while they air and me having no patience to wait for 2-4 episodes a week. I know, I'm horrible!
Too tired to respond to the various sick comments so I'm just gonna vent here. I don't know the truth, none of…
I tried my best to stay away from this comment section because I knew it was already going to be ugly. Too bad I have no self-restraint xD but I probably won't be scrolling any further down.
I think the most important thing people need to take away from this is to be compassionate people without being aggressively ugly about it. One good thing I've learned from going to business school is that you can still say powerful words eloquently.
Agree with everything you pointed out except for the last one. I don't think his actions will cut it for people now. Everything that he says or does will sound like an excuse, he will always be seen as a bad person.

The ending for Tiger and Rose felt quite rushed but everything else was really well done for what it trying to get across to the viewers (minus the cheap production).
The Wolf was so frustrating to watch for me as there were so many misunderstandings and the FL didn't really reach my expectations of the stage she set for herself at the beginning. However, it was one of those dramas where I couldn't help but feel like I had put a lot of emotional investment into it. It was also a hit or miss with a lot of people as well. If you happen to start it, let me know how you feel about it.
I only want to watch Triad Princess because of Jasper Liu XD. I don't know much about him but remember seeing a lot of his clips and articles floating around and viewing them.
I have not seen Do you like Brahms but I've heard good things about it. I do enjoy slow/mellow/soft kinds of dramas. I remember enjoying A Piece of Your Mind but dropping it because it was still airing and I couldn't keep up with it. I plan to figure out where I left off and finish that one (I think I had like 2 episodes left). Was Do you like Brahms a good watch for you?

I've been trying to think of some good recommendations and I realized, I'm probably not the right person to ask. I start a good amount of dramas and never finish them, so I don't know if they're worth recommending. Then there's a good amount that I finished but aren't good enough to recommend. Also, I've just started to really hop back into drama watching. Three that came out in 2020 that I enjoyed different aspects of it though were: The Romance of Tiger and Rose, It's Okay to Not Be Okay, and The Wolf. Not sure if any of those are your cup of tea or if you've seen them. If you have, let me know what you thought of them!
LOL! I can't believe you made an account just to rant! I made an account late last year to utilize my drama watching list as I tend to start a lot of dramas all at once and drop a lot of them as well. So far, it's been useful and I've been using other aspects of MDL as well.
I've just recently caught up on Someday or One Day and Lost Romance this year. They were both enjoyable on different levels. For Taiwanese dramas, I'm thinking about Back to 1989 or Triad Princess next. Haven't decided yet.

Now that you said you can trust my recommendations, *sweats in pressure, lol. It depends on what's up your alley. Maybe I'll know what to suggest after you tell me what you like? Lately, I've been watching a lot of Chinese historical dramas. I've picked up Taiwanese dramas again. I've been trying to hit up different countries and genres to spice up my watch list.
I need a Dispatch investigation like they did with Park Hye Soo.
But seriously... despite bullying being an important issue that can mentally and physically harm us, it's so sad that's it's still overlooked by so many people until it becomes serious. Think about the teachers, peers, parents, etc. that could have done something to prevent this harm.

Exactly how I felt with the two versions and well worded on cable vs web drama. The 2021 ver felt a lot more like a web drama, but indeed the two leads were a good-looking pair. Hu Yi Tian is definitely good eye candy to look at and his acting isn't bad considering that he got into the acting game later than Hu Bing Qing.

lol! Felt the same way while discussing with you. Made me had an urge to watch the 2019 ver. Memorable scenes... while I didn't like Zheng Wenrui in this version, I actually enjoyed her encounters with Zhang Ming Rui. Like the cafeteria bread scene where Wenrui came to buy bread but they ran out. Ming Rui gave it to her because he felt bad and the cafeteria lady told Wenrui that Ming Rui buys it for the girl he likes. Ming Rui's reactions to Wenrui always makes me lol
Very well explained review. Unrequited Love 2019 is my fav drama of all time. I have watched both vers and obviously…
haha yes! She did give off creepy stalker vibes, which I mentioned on my 2019 review. 2019 Luo Zhi still trumps 2021 ver to me though. I totally agree that the jealous scene with her cousin was quite disappointing and didn't give me the same feelings in the 2021 ver. Could it be that she explained the situation too fast and didn't let the jealousy sink in for Huainan? Idk... just didn't feel right to me either.
Uncle Tat has indeed created a legacy under his name. The gift of laughter he gave us will forever be present in those who have enjoyed his works throughout the years. He will always be remembered!
As someone who has been bullied and personally witnessed how bullying can affect people I know/care about, I hope that these accusations are true. I hope that it's true in the case that I hope that people are speaking up because they want justice for themselves, want to heal, and want to overcome that trauma. I would be upset if these accusations turn out to be false because then the individual who's getting all this hate would be slandered and bullied for nothing. If it was false, it would make any future celebrity bullying accusation, a "the boy who cried wolf" case, and get ignored when actual bullying was done. Words are just as powerful guys, please be mindful of what we say, even if it's to fight for justice. I hope that all these bullying cases would be thoroughly investigated and for the judgment to be fair.
