Scared to watch it. I heard the ending was terrible and it lacked chemistry between the leads. Has anyone seen…
It's honestly not worth watching. I can give a straight up summary for you if you want. No matter how much I spoil I promise you won't feel mad, because the show is honestly really disappointing when it comes to it's genre.

In the book, they meet without knowing each other's identities and travel together for a while. But the story…
Ah ok. Thank you.

Happy Birthday!~

Hope this year you'll get happy endings xd

(I swear at this point it's a running joke in the Vin Zhang fanbase about all his angst and stuff)

4 episode spoiler free review:
1. The acting is pretty.... meh. So far those who are tolerable while watching are the 2 male leads. And even that, one of them basically doesn't express any emotion.
2. The cinematography ain't something to praise, but it isn't bad either.
3. I absolutely love the sets and costumes. At least visually, the show looks good.
4. IMO, the only person keeping me watching is Chen Zhe Yuan. At least his character has been fun and smart and been doing interesting things.
5. One thing I'm worried about is how they're gonna pull off the "brother to brother" thing. This might be like the novel (I never read it), but like, from the OP and Closing clips, you barely see the two ML in a scene together. Is it like this is the novel, where they're just fully 2 completely different stories until the end? or like... Cause if that's the case, then I don't see the point staying for every episode if all we're gonna see is ML fighting ML. :/

Conclusion: It's too early to say whether this is droppable or not, but by the looks of it imma probs just skim through each episode to find the scenes with Chen Zhe Yuan, watch those, and leave the rest of the story be unless the plot takes a turn for both "factions".

Title Fairyland Lovers Spoiler
The alter ego intrigued me too. I can't wait to actually see that side of Bai Qi be released.
Episode 19 preview shows Lin Xia discovering that Bai Qi's past lover looks like her. But aren't spirits turned after they find an obsession? Or do they stay spirits if they have an obsession, but the "spirit infection" has nothing to do with obsessions initially?

Mid season review:

I'm loving this series so much <3

With the latest episodes intense moments out aside, I just love the overall fluffy, light and cute vibe the drama has going. Can't help but smile while watching.

I was pretty meh towards the FL in the first 2-5 episodes, but damn, I love her now. Both main leads are wonderful ~

The second lead is just so... middle school romance~ Can't wait to see more of them.

A Li is as innocent as ever. I swear if something happens to him I wakuhaksiujrfhakjshrgjk

Reeeee it's gotten better than I expected in 12 episode <3

Unlike season 1, Long Qing imo is actually watchable ~

Dylan Wang has been amazing so far. The only critic I have is that I feel like his NQ is a bit too "smiley", yknow? Not bad, or good. Not expecting that to change either, and it's fine.

One thing I gotta mention though, which is just personal taste is that: Me No See Enough Demon Powers (lmao)
Cmon NQ, you got those demon powers, use em. I know you don't like to, but you legit said in season 1 that all the magic/martial arts you cultivatin' currently is turned into demon arts. (ah. guess we gotta make demon magic CGI budget sacrifices for those sweet, sweet shots and choreo.)

First Episode Review [MINI SPOILER]:
1. I hated the beginning recap, where they reshot all the scene with Dylan Wang and didn't acknowledge Arthur Chen's existence. Like, just say he got older or something, so thats why he looks different. smh. I get why they did it though, but I'm not a fan.
2. Despite comment 1, I quite enjoyed Dylan Wang in the role of Ning Que. He brings the same energy Arthur did, just more caring and "lighter". You feel the character difference, but in my opinion it isn't unpleasant.
3. The editing was rushed it seems. Some scene were good, like the MINI SPOILER [ Prince Long Qing vs Ning Que,] END OF MINI SPOILER but others, like the part where he extinguishes the fire, was edited terribly. You can see the camera move.
4. Most of the new cast brings the "same but different" energy, so in my opinion the cast, new and old, are good, EXCEPT FOR THE KING. I do NOT KNOW WHY. BUT HE FEELS SO OFF FOR SOME REASON TO ME. I CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON IT.

I'll for sure be watching the whole season. but one can obviously tell the thrill you got from season 1 might be a bit lacking here.

Title Ever Night Season 2 Spoiler
The real 'Child of Darkness' turns out to be Sang Sang I heard...What does that make Ning Que?
In the novel, Ning Que is the savior.

They basically represent Light and Dark/Ying and Yang, but like, reversed.

what I mean is Sang Sang's personality is fluffy and light and stuff, but she's the darkness, while Ning Que is dark and brooding, with immense power, but he's the light.

The new less dramatic trailer gives off a very Goblin vibe. Especially the part where they're using telekinetic powers to control pillows to *prepare for battle*
