I don't mind spoilers, but can someone tell me who FL ends up with? In the webtoon I was a big Suho supporter, but for some reason when I started the drama I've been really liking SeoJun (probably because I really like the actor too haha). I don't mind who she ends up with since I do like them both personally, but I'd like to prepare myself to know who the endgame in the drama is if someone can spoil the ending for me haha
Does this drama drag later? I'm worried because I'm already a little past 10 episodes are already so much has happened, I can't think of what they might be able to do in another 30 episodes. (I marked this as spoiler in case new watchers don't want to be spoiled on how fast the plot goes)
I absolutely love this drama! The only issue I had with it was the ending... Although it was a 'happy ending', I felt like it was unfulfilling. After going through all the obstacles and the ups and downs, to see how he forgot his memories in the end and having it end off where he just starts to build it from the ground up got me feeling iffy. Why did he have to forget everything right when he just realized what 'love' was? :(
How sad is the ending...? I really wanted to watch this drama but I've already been told that this drama has such a depressing ending :( is there no happiness for the main chars? (idm spoilers)
Why is there so many bad reviews on this show? :( I was a bit excited to check it out and then I stupidly went on MAL and saw the comments, and now I'm not as motivated to watch it. Can someone tell me something good about this show?
For those who are passing by this drama considering on watching it, I say 100% that you should definitely give this show a try! I've watched a lot of different dramas in my life, from fluff to angst to straight up boring, and this one has kept my interest the whole way through. The character development is so real and true to who they are, which is very rare for many dramas. Not only this, but you really get to see the relationships between the characters, whether it be friendship or romance, progress at a good pace. This drama really depicts raw emotion and the series is a lot more serious compared to other dramas I have watched.
Just finished the whole series... to be honest though the ending was a Happy Ending, I was very dissatisfied and upset with how it ended for RunYu.
Going into this drama I already knew JinMi and XuFeng were going to end up together (pretty obvious from just the synopsis and the picture) but for some reason, even with that in mind, I fell in love with RunYu and caught MAJOR second lead syndrome. (Even after all the bad things he's done, I never held it against him)
As I continued to watch this series my heart continued to ache for RunYu, as it seems like his life just got worse and worse as the story progressed. I really felt like everything was unfair for him.
His birth was the result of a lie. His childhood was full of torture. He grew up isolated and shadowed by XuFeng. When he finally found his birth mother he had to watch her die in his arms. He gave up so much for JinMi, who in turn didn't love him back. And worst of all, in the end he had to watch XuFeng and JinMi happily together with a wonderful and calm life, while he continues to be alone.
I understand that in the end he made up with JinMi and XuFeng, but to show him being alone and isolated was too much for me... watching the last scene where he's crying at the throne knowing that he has nothing really broke me (I cried at this scene far more than any scene in the show). He was full of emptiness, and this really goes to show that even though he is the most powerful man in the end, holding the title of heavenly emperor, he's still not happy. Of all the characters in this show, he truly deserved to he happy the most. XuFeng lived a luxurious life growing up with the love of his parents while RunYu was all alone, so when he finally snapped I truly understood why.
I see that there's a Season 2 upcoming so I really hope he finally gets his happiness. (It also kind of sucks to think that the Heavenly Empress, who has done far worse things in the show, still died happily after receiving the most colorful thing in the world from a promise made from the man who loved her the most - even her ending was better than RunYu's ending...)
I really loved Love o2o but thought A Love so Beautiful was super boring. Both dramas have been recommended to be watched after watching this one, would I enjoy this drama?
He deserves a better ending but at least he didn't die and became a good guy again and still has someone who cares…
Ohhh that's good to know, in the end is he on good terms with XuFeng and JinMi? :( The last thing I'd want is for him to be alone and on bad terms with the people who he once cared about. I hope the others don't hold ill feelings towards him.
