Are there any dramas set in the republic era anymore? I really want to see the Setting Republic era, or a drama…
I would recommend Rookie Agent Rouge, I watched this one a while back and was thoroughly impressed by it. Probably has one of the best character development phases that I've seen. https://kisskh.at/15340-rookie-agent-rouge
I really like the Kailu pair as well! Do they end up together in the end (like are they a couple at the end)?…
Ohh thank you! I'll definitely check it out now thanks to your response! I am curious though, I loveeee a series where there's like this 'sexual tension' between characters, like a angsty sort of drama with jealousy and obstacles (not sure why but it makes a couple more appealing to me haha), do they happen to have this? I know their chemistry as actor and actress are pretty good due to The Legends! (also why they gotta delete the kiss scene, it would have been perfection :sob: )
[LITTLE SPOILER AHEAD]if you're still hesitating if you wanna watch this or not, DEFINITELY WATCH IT!! at first…
I really like the Kailu pair as well! Do they end up together in the end (like are they a couple at the end)? :o Your comment is definitely tempting me to watch it. To be honest I really was planning to watch the series, but since I saw previous comments mentioning that there was no kiss, I held off on watching it for so long haha.
I'm planning to give this a try because I really like the ML and FL actor and actress in this, I'm just a bit put off by the comments mentioning how bad the ending is :( should I prepare myself for the absolute worse starting from 50? Is it still worth watching as a whole? How bad of an ending is it? I usually don't like watching things incomplete if I don't get closure from the series itself without seeing the full end
Watching this for Alen Fang! ♥ Super excited to see him in another promising drama, hopefully he'll have a good ending and possibly a love interest! (if he does, please let me know!) Planning to wait for the full series to complete before starting it, since my heart can't handle waiting on new episodes.
I really tried with this drama :( The transitions in the first few episodes are all over the place, and I often find myself confused after so many different transitions occur. I really like the plot, but the FL is pretty annoying and lackluster...
My new favorite actor! ♥ I really hope to see him as a ML in more dramas! (I also really want him to star in a drama with Dilraba again, fell in love with these two in eternal love of dream!)
I just finished this series and it's an absolute masterpiece! I fell in love with the characters, the story, and especially Donghua ♥ If you're hesitant on watching this series, please give it a chance! It starts off a little slow but picks up pace at around episode 9, and then really hits the story at 21!
She has a lot of ups and downs before she removes the thing in her body which is stopping her from feeling emotion…
I believe it's around 36, it's been a while since I watched the series. It's after the mortal arc, but I highly recommend you watch the mortal arc! They get more romantic in this arc and it's definitely one of the turning points in their budding romance growth
Why did you drop TMOBP? It has EVERYTHING you described that you liked: strong & independent FL, slow burn romance…
ahhh thank you so much! So I recently have been watching Eternal Love of Dream (The pillow book spin off to TMoPB) and I am in LOVE with Donghua and Fengjiu in the drama. I haven't felt goosebumps in so long, and to see two people who are being chased by others show signs of stubborness and teasing to each other was such a thrill to watch. I think what I craved (that was a bit lacked) in L&R would be the jealousy part. Not sure why but I loveeee when a romance goes through jealousy stages to build it up, and I think that's why I love ELoD, because Donghua (a normally unfazed powerful impreial lord being sought out by many) was teasing Fengjiu, who was once so in love with him but grew as a person. To see Donghua get jealous was so amusing to watch.
I think thanks to my complete love for ELoD, I'm more convinced to check out TMoPB again. In your personal opinion (if you've watched the pillow book spinoff as well), are the couples in both of the series kind of similar? I'm not sure why but I'm so drawn by Donghua and Fengjiu's romance - slow burn with teasing, jealousy, and a build up!
Wow so I'm up to episode 30 and I absolutely love this drama! It's very rare that a drama gives me goosebumps, but I just love the playful teasings from Donghua and the banter that FengJiu relays back. At first the drama was a little slow, but starting from after the mortal realm arc (episode 21) I was absolutely hooked. From here I got to see the slow blossoming romance between Donghua and FengJiu. When I really got goosebumps was when they reach the Bird Tribe town starting around episode 28-29 where Donghua finally appears again. This time I got to see the jealousy from Donghua's end instead f FengJiu's end, and I was living for this jealousy and more playful teasing! I just love how calm and collected Donghua is, and how unfazed he gets about FengJiu and her silly antics.
So far loving this show and will probably rate this top of my list! (sorry Love and Redemption, you'll probably get placed second now in my heart haha)
On a side note, can someone recommend me a drama with a similar dynamic as Donghua and FengJiu, especially with a ML like Donghua who is calm and collected but when it comes to the person he's interested in he becomes a little different. I like seeing the high and might Impreial Lord become jealous, or become teasing and playful. I also love that this show added in that spice of jealousy on both ends to help bring up their relationship!

Ohhh thank you! I don't mind spoilers, but I do have a few questions out of curiosity! - When they meet are they instantly attracted or is there a few things they go through before they end up liking each other? I prefer a generally slow-burn romance, so nothing too fast! - I never went far enough into the drama to know the ML's full personality, is he a dependable ML, someone who's strong and have brave qualities? (I'm also curious if he's more on the serious side, playful side, mature side, etc) - Is there any rivalry/jealousy? I love when there's obstacles to their love, like someone in the way or jealousy to fuel the relationship - And of course, is there angst? I love me that angsty romance haha
I absolutely LOVED Love and Redemption, so I'm really hoping to find a drama close to it! I started watching pillow book (the sequel to TMOPB ) and to be honest I'm really liking this one a lot haha. I love that dong hua is a dependable figure!

Yeah I think it was how slow the romance starts >< I have considered on picking it up again, but yesss please let me know which episode the romance starts or where she finally meets the main male lead!
When will the FL finally get together with the ML. Can someone spoil it for me? At least I can get prepared
Officially, they're together by episode 50. This is the point where all their misunderstandings are cleared up and they are officially together together with no further complications. They do get together before this, and go through some obstacles, but they break up at one point due to some issues.
