I agree that I feel like Zhang Yu Xi's personality vibes better with Liu Xue Yi, especially after watching all the current leaked BTS clips for this drama. I love Cheng Yi, but it's hard to top the chemistry he had with Crystal Yuan in Love and Redemtion (I hope they get more dramas together in the future).

I personally am super excited for this pair!

I feel like I might have missed this in the show, but what was the reason Ting Nu was banished to the mortal realm? He mentioned he was stripped of his healer role in the heavens because he did something grave while he was in the heavens. I thought it would be related to the God of War but I don't remember the reasoning ever being explained.

She gets better later on! I also couldn't stand her during the arc from before she got that emotion blocking thing removed. Afterwards, she's not as intolerable.

She has a lot of ups and downs before she removes the thing in her body which is stopping her from feeling emotion of love. It's because a lot of her emotion was blocked by her mother, but afterwards she becomes a lot better.

I just finished this series and, wow, what a ride. Such a beautiful story, and for anyone who's hesitant on watching it: Please give it a try! It's such an amazing story, and even though you will go through a rollercoaster of emotions, the end will tie everything up neatly. Probably has one of the best endings I've ever seen in a CDrama.

I look forward to seeing other dramas by these actors and actresses in the future, especially
Liu Xue Yi. I hope he gets more lead roles.

In the old reddit post I was looking at about this drama, coincidentially someone also asked if it got better after 9 episodes, many say it does and that she grows as a person and a lot happens.

I usually don't mind spoilers, so I read one of the spoiler reviews which broke down each of the arcs this series goes through, and wow yeah the plot really goes into a more entertaining direction, so I would stick to it to at least 19, which is an episode some are telling me get better starting from

I'm so excited for this drama because of Liu Xue Yi! I fell in love with him from Love and Redemption, and even when he played a pretty antagonist role in that drama I was so drawn by his character there, and of course his looks!

Oh my god... I just got to the next episode where they're using the damn whip. So let me get this straight: Sifeng gets tortured by the most painful ways, and that bitch of a wife gets like 30 seconds of the nail thing and then that's it??? my god.

I'm at the part where they're torturing Si Feng because they think he's a demon when he isn't... and it's so stupid. So the wife who was working with the demons was caught and captured AND YET THEY DON'T FREAKING TORTURE HER INSTEAD TO INTEROGATE. They choose Si Feng, who they don't know for sure is a demon, over the girl who they 100% know was working with the demons... it's so stupid. Like do these Sect leaders have a brain?

Judging from the comments, it sounds like this story is a little different than how it was in TMOPB. Can I watch this without watching TMOPB and still understand the story? I tried watching TMPOB before and I could never get into it unfortunately :(

A quick question, when the FL regains her 6 senses does her personality change in any way? I wouldn't mind a personality change, just mostly curious. I don't mind spoilers!

Also side note, I recently started watching this drama and I LOVE IT SO MUCH <3 I really hope it keeps my interest, a little worried that it's 59 episodes haha.

I've been considering on watching this drama , but I'm not too sure if it's my type of drama so I do have a few questions if anyone is able to answer them for me! I don't mind spoilers :D

So I see that this drama has been compared to TMOPB and AOL a lot. Personally I loved AOL so much, but I ended up dropping TMOPB after the first 5 episodes. The main reason I really enjoyed AOL was because I enjoyed seeing a young girl who was once innocent and naïve go through hardships and eventually mature, so my main questions would be:

1. In this drama, is the FL a strong independent character? I've kind of grown tired of the typical weak, frail, and ditsy female characters, and would really like some independent females who are strong in their own way!

2. How is the character development? Do they grow as a person or mature? I would love to see this.

3. How's the romance? I'm a sucker for romance, but I like a romance that is a bit of a slow-burn. Nothing that is instant, and not without trials. Oddly enough, I enjoy romance when it's built around obstacles to eventually get to where they are.
