Omg, she is scary!!! As for the ml, it is the first time I watch him in any drama, my bad..too early to form any specific comments yet..

good news, It will be on global Netflix simultaneously!

Much as I wanted to follow this drama,it really fails to keep me glued to the couch. To me, this drama is a miss.

no. I'll keep looking, Will let u know if it comes up.

no, not that one
I tried to look it up but couldnr find it.

he was also the male lead of a short period drama, I can't remember the title. it was good

anyone knows if the male lead plays a bad guy?

episode 1 is on YouTube posted by WeTV.

The elements for a successful drama in this specific order: script, cast, dircector, production, visuals, editing. This drama has them all, how can it be not a success and stay on top for years to come..

oh, I Just noticed that we have been waiting about Against the Current on the Irreplaceble Page.. let's stop.

It depicts the development of some main characters in the drama, very interesting to watch.

Seven Tan doesn't have the look of a classic beauty, not even her voice or height help her to gain point 😉, but she is a dedicated actress, she always manages to own the role she plays, not playing the role, that's my personal thought. It is incorrect for some to say that the FL in this drama doesn't love the ml, plus the ml doesn't give up everything for her but she actually makes him realize how life is precarious when serving the king, he didn't give up his career, he realizes that to live a peaceful life, he has to drop out of the power playing ground. There Iis actually a scene in which he envisages himself lying on the ground splitting blood in full armour when actually he was leaving the palace for good. As I suggested earlier, give this drama a chance finish It when you can.

Understand. The screenplay, the plot you call it, is indeed extremely well written, it is consistent and seguential. I too was upset when I saw the ML played arrogant, got the FL married to him with a royal decree. However as the drama moved on, he revealed sides of his character and efforts to redeem that I like and appreciate, so much so that I feel Sorry for him that when the fl was lying on bed drawing her last breath at old age, she has chosen not to keep the red thread that was supposed to let her reunite with the ml in their next Life, as wished by the ml. When you have time, May be you could pick up from where you left of the drama, proably you won't be disappointed.

Sure, everyone has his/her own favourite actors and actresses. As I said, am not a big fan of Seven Tan, but Against the Current had me glued to the couch the whole time, I even bought the express package, and have just started rewatching it from the beginning, in wait for a new interesting period drama.. yes I am a 100% period drama fan. 😊 However another drama with such a good screenplay as ATC is extremely too hard come by.

exactly!

Great, so I am not the only one who has seen it..

I am not a big fan of Jin Mai, or Seven Tan, but must admit they are true professionals. Therefore when they are in a good screenplay, I have no problem to watch them.

I assure you the preview was real 😉

a psychic? 😉

Fasr forward is what I have been doing from scene to scene here, though not really enjoying the drama, but still want to get to the end somehow.
