She’s 22 when she started her first job fresh out of college and met her domineering boss who was 28. There’s…
at 18 one becomes an adult, it is the most celebrated birthday and can be playfully celebrated at every birthday.

I am sure I saw a screenshot of a calendar posted by someone here hrs ago showing a airing schedule of 2 eps a day starting from tomorrow, August 31, then express with last 3 episodes this coming Friday. This can well be a SVIP schedule. Now everyone is saying one episode a day.. I am lost.

their behaviour in ep.11 is relatable, not wanting to show the other their own feelings because of pride, wanting to appear superior, independent from the other while deep down longing for the other.

They both started their relationship on the wrong foot..well..humans are flawed like this. Can’t really blame…
true, and this is way I said it is a relatable story, and we invest so much feelings watching it. This is a great drama.

I'm confused about Episode 9 at 36:36 Flora's birthday banner says "Happy 18th Birthday"🙄 how is that…
perhaps 18 is the magic number, guess they would still have it in the next 10 years...

Since its only 24 episodes i thought by now she wouldve disappeared and by spisode 12 the searching and yearning…
they have cut down from 32 episodes to 24, this really upsets me, can't imagine the scenes that got cut off and how it affects the general flow of the drama. Surely not all cut scenes (8 episodes long) is due to censorship. Wasting so many episodes is a damage to both the production, the cast and the viewers.

I like Cheng Lei, have started watching his work from short drama time, but I can't say the same for the female lead. I may just sit this one out.

Just curious, was this filmed a while back? Why does it look like they're all using such small outdated phones?
it is not when the drama was filmed, but it is based on the novel's timeline, starting from 2008, in the span of 10 years ending in 2018. So everything used, clothings included need to reflect that period.

Why is Netflix only showing one more episode ? It seems rather short .
netflix has aired 2 episodes today ,ep 10 and 11, exactly as in Youku. As for tomorrow, only one episode will be aired, same as scheduled in Youku app. I guess Youku will release next week schedule soon enough, hopefully it won't be one episode a day for long.

I just saw someone commenting a edit that when Luke said, "Can you control the feeling of love?" Netflix…
If I remember correctly, the words used in original language is "喜欢“, literally it means "like". It may sound mild and lack in intent when translated into English, but when spoken in Chinese between a man a woman it means quite a lot, pointing towards love, not typically attraction.

I can see this drama setting a benchmark for future modern dramas that want to break away from the tropes delivered in the recent years.

Hottest Cdrama couple in a long long time.. Loving this show. Watching it LIVE builds up my anticipation. Also,…
it is one of the few, very few dramas based on a love story, let alone an office romance, written and delivered with honesty and openess and respect. I can see it is setting a new standard and broader horizon for future works of this genre. I have dropped many Chinese dramas made with classic tropes and silliness, this one has me glued to the couch. Formidable performance, well written script and marvellous directing and editing.

Our male lead here is way better, and the story here is much more relatable.

Don't get me wrong, the male lead owns the role he plays , superb performance and looks, but I just think the script makes him too arrogant, too overbearing, too destructive for any relationship. If this is all because the script has plan for repentance, then it has better be real good and convincing.

Title The Early Spring Spoiler
ep.8 the defamation/scandal. Luke investigated and found out what happened. He and his boss should at least call in Alex and his assistant who is the real culprit to warn them seriously

I am so captivated by this drama and by the performance of the leads that I have even started reading the novel between episodes. it is a drama unlike many others based on classic tiresome tropes (school mates, typical adolescent love, misunderandings, separation and back together after years).
