we can now be sure that the cousin will never betray the Wei family, not after having seen how the FL protects him as well (ep.21).But sorry to see him falling secretly in love with her, do hope it won't lead to any serious disputes with the ml.
That’s not wedding clothes, more like formal court clothes. WS is head of state of Wei , kind of king.
They were married way back and she wore the wedding dress brought from home. The preview in which they are wearing formal clothings shouldn't be a wedding scene, we'll find out soon enough.
I am all for actors/actresses using their voice, it adds touch to their involvement in the roles they play. This drama has extra credits for not dubbing the cast.
Helllllp!Zhe Yao is the chineses title and the English Trans is BEND WAIST. pls explain for me, how to connect?
I think it means giving in, surrendering of sort. In the ancient times, people bowed to superiors, bowing involves bending movement from the waist up. The Drama is also about the male lead surrendering, giving up revenge because of his love for the FL. The grandfather of the FL also used these two words when he was talking to her.
Watched episode one, couldn't find myself drawn to the female lead neither by looks, acting, nor by the start of the story telling, would go back to it some other time.
ep.19 Manman explained to the refugees that the man standing before them is none other than the lord of Wei who actually grants them residents, Wei Shao looked so smitten.
I saw a post in YouTube by a blogger, no image but only text with audio, saying a leak of the screenplay states the sister of the FL was retained by her father, hence the fl's uncle, and would only set her free if her husband would lead troop to kill Wei Shao (the uncle is allied with the cousin who failed to marry the fl). The battle ends with the sister killing herself to stop her husband from fighting. This is a tragedy, I can't stand good characters dying in dramas. I hate dramas that deliberately draw tears from viewers, especially when the original novel has a happy ending.
I don't know about you guys, but I can't bring myself to watch another drama, no matter how good it may be, when I am following this one here, it is just too good to watch and watch again. I would stream all remaining episodes in one sitting if they were available... and if any of my favourite characters die, I would throw my slippers against the TV.. P.S. isn't it ridiculous that express package does not allow the episodes to be viewed on TV even within the Wetv app, but available only on app installed in the phone!
please is this good...I haven't watched anything of the male lead yet...someone that has watched Story of running…
I have watched both two dramas you mentioned. This one might not be as big a project like those two, but definitely does take second place in terms of screenplay, directing, dialogues and cast performance. plus the chemistry between the leads are super charged. The male lead is a perfect fit for his role and the female lead is just great with him.
Wei Shao, you're truly hopeless. Just one slip of the word "Fujun" from your wife and you're already flying to…
Ha ha, hearing her call him "husband" has certainly flew him to the moon, but brought back down to earth right after when she then corrected herself calling him "master" again

ha ha, it is a big deal to him, I am convinced that in his heart she is the love of his life but too stubborn to say it. Now that she calls him "husband" how can he not be over the moon. Ah yes, then brought back down on earth when she corrected herself calling him "my lord" again.
I love that it's showing the FL catching feeling in the drama. When I was skimping the novel, I didn't feel like…
I have been skimming thru chapters of the novel too and am convinced the screenwriter did a marvellous job, the version in the drama is much more relatable, the characters are better defined and the story more realistic. The second life in the novel puts me off a quite a bit.
The screenplay, directing, editing of this drama are consistent and with great pacing. I have not enjoyed a combination of these elements embodied in one single drama for the longest time, when all is put together and delivered by a great cast, I can't help myself but keep watching all episodes over and over again ..
He might become the enemy of the Wei but he could also take the path to protect the Wei if he knows his mother…
he was the good guy initially in Princess Rebel but greed and secret love for the princess decided his tragic death. While he was dying he said he wanted to go back home to the ml...sigh..
