I'd think it is more a local fight between the two fan bases. Fans are good but when they fight as if actors and actresses were they own possessions is really sickening and damaging.

For me she picked a good script.

I agree, the last few episodes were rushed, taking down the vilians was all so quick and nearly effortless and mostly delivered in words rather than shown in scenes, how did the head of the bandit die and how did the sml fail to obtain the antidote from him? What happened to the prince who was behind the killings dating back to 20 years ? Did the male lead actually leave before dying or die he stay? What happened to Kang Ju? Did he leave as lonely as hell after the ml died? Did he stay with the group? Was he among the caravan led by the fl to explore the world? We got nothing, the wrap up is not up to the standard of the beginning of the drama. So disappointing, if shoots were made but got edited out, then the editor should step up to own his mistakes, along with whoever are also responsible for the final release. This having said, the cast did a wonderful job, everyone of them.

In the ending, instead of shooting a birdseye view of a desert caravan with the voice of an older Duan Wu in the background, I would have found some comfort in actually seeing Duan Wu leading the caravan with Kang Ju near her, to keep her company and to continue protecting her for Yan Zi Jing in her journeys.

It wasn't necessary to have the male lead poisoned from day one and drove him to death at the end, and yes I do think the leads deserve a life together after all that they had been through. A happy ending would make me smile when I remember this drama while the bad ending as is makes me feel sad and disappointed of the screen writer. This having said, I will never go back to lower the rating I gave to this drama so beautifully delivered to viewers in so many aspects: the cast, the cinematography, the settings, the costumes, the dialogues, and all roles, big and smal, contributed to the success of the drama.

There was never any need for him to be poisoned in the first place, all the sufferings, hardship he endured since he was little were more than enough for his life time, the screen writer could have , should have let him find at last peace and love with Duan Wu who has suffered as much as he did. The drama is beautifully shoot, the cast is excellent, all roles, big and small, contributed to a great story telling. The drama deserves to be remembered with a happy ending by viewers, seeing them together, travelling, exploring the world.

no, just checked Youku app, the latest trailer is still on ep.38, and no indication of express package yet. And yes, I searched for the drama on X and there are in fact various clips never seen before showing happy moments so I am hopeful the drama not ending badly. I think the release of these new clips are hints that express package may well be released by tomorrow.

I saw a clip that everyone is congratulating them a happy life together, so I am sticking to this as ending.

Doing a group portrait in this stage is not a good sign for a happy ending....If only we could send a joint letter to the director demanding for refund and let him know we will be boycotting him in his future projects if he ends the drama with the male lead dead!!

Don't think an express package is too much to ask for Mr. Youku :), since there are only 5 episodes left. Others have released express packages covering more than 5 episodes.

she is indeed a young yet very accomplished actress, she is very natural in acting, she does not play a role, she is the role. Everything she does seems effortless, and she has no problems in appearing in dire conditions, looking dirty or anything, while there are actresses who never appear without makeup in front of the camera and whose actings are also so superficial.

you will have no idea what you miss out if you walk away just after 3 episodes.

This drama is not an action drama but as many have said already, about a little girl who was first a slave pearl diver, then because of her intelligence and will to live freely, she became what we are seeing in the latter part of the drama. In the current episodes there are still battles but battles of wits and plots, just as engaging.

oh dream of splendid is a gem, great suggestion. I have watched it a couple of times.
