am on episodes 4, feeling a bit disappointed with the storyline that scatters here and there and the cast for the supporting roles....

👍👍, finally airing now. Have been looking forward to a good period drama, Zhang Wan Yi (the male lead) is exceptional in costume drama, have known him since Lost you forever and following him ever since. I wish the female lead could have been someone else, eg. Zhao Lusi, but hey... any drama with the male lead for me is worth watching.

I normally skip, fast forward when I watch series, but I cannot with this series, I simply can't. What a script!!

I hope he'll manage to break through soon, very soon., not loosing his momentum.

A pleasant drama to watch, I hope Deng Wei will do more projects, as I just checked, aopirhis drama is his latest work and nothing else is on the horizon, I can't understand why, other actors who were with him in Lost you forever have lots of projecta either aired or in process, why is his not having any project on hand?

Going on a mission is just an excuse for him not reaching out sooner, avoiding explanations of being so sick and then married and eloped. .. Anyway, as I said, each one is free to think how the drama ends since it left us with an open ending. The ending in the book is just too tragic and I gladly do not want to be conditioned by it. The postcard was not signed, but it was the voice of Zan saying what he wrote on the card: he said that he was away on a mission herefore failed to congratulate him for ranking first in school, but hope he will visit the beautiful place on the postcard that he specially chose for him. Since this scene followed the pubblication of the book 6 months later, so I conclude Zan is alive then. As for Ben, he enrolled in a university for journalism and he got a copy of the book as well.

strange, the voice I heard in lost you forever is totally different in love of the devine tree, that's why it feels so off to me. I have watched several interviews iof Deng Wei, his voice is the same as the one I heard in lost you forever. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

He used his own voice in Lost you forever, can't forget how good and apt it sounded,

PTSD is terrible especially in his case when he has gone thru so much. I am glad the ending shows a postcard from him to the young Wang months after the elope, to me it means he is living as best as he can with his love by his side. I dreaded the drama would end as in the book and I am glad it didn't.

why Deng Wei was dubbed? He has such a great voice. The entire drama is a bit off to mee because of it.

Oh it is very good, but I do understand why you found it little captivating in the beginning (me too), stick to it and you won't regret it:)

May be I expected a faster pacing and richer storyline, or still have dramas like "the double" and "perfect match" in the back of my mind feeling still the vibes they gave me, I am putting this drama on hold till all episodes are aired.

I am not interested in a modern version and I definitely don't want to see the second generation. As for the story, I am sure good screenwriters can deliver interesting plots if asked. May be a power seige in the palace, riots, crimes or alike. Plenty of storylines to think about, just saying.

It would be a great success, too, if they'd really set their minds to bring it on, Perfect Match has a great content and the cast delivered it with wonderful performance, I would feel sorry if the second season, if up, wouldn't show up with the same cast, everyone of them.

I can imagine that :), I knew it was him straight on, he has that look in his eyes, deep in feelings, that I find unforgettable.

Liang QI Shun (husband of the 4th sister) did great here, I looked into his work until now and think he can take up lead roles especially in costume dramas, he is so ready.
