stunning visuals... yet the story is a bit too absurd imo. I'm more interested in the second couple they sound…
There has been so many absurd Taiwanese BLs in the last 3 years. Looking for a good one is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. I feel like not even an AI would come up with such weak plots.
WTF IS WRONG WITH TAIWAN BL INDUSTRY THESE PAST FEW MONTHS!!!! OR MAYBE EVEN YEARS! I think Kiseki and unknown…
I've been asking myself the same question. And it's a shame because the actors are usually cute together and have chemistry. In series I feel Parker is especially strong. But these stories are hollow. And the romance is so sparse. Because of lame plots and short episodes and a secondary couples, the main couple is built on thin ice. There's light flirting and all the accidental tripping over each other and intense eye gazing but you can barely grasp why they like each other anyway.
I don't get why they keep filming 'original' scripts when there's a plethora of modern danmei they could adapt. Unknow was so good because it had a compelling story from an amazing author. Same for The On1y One. Kiseki is not an adaptation as far as I know but at least it has engaging plot and lots of chemistry between both couples.
I don't know, I don't get what they're doing. When everybody else raises the bar: S. Korea, Japan, Thailand, they come up with lackluster stories like this. I get that they have small budgets but I've seen Koran and Thai shows with small budgets that were much so it's not an excuse. /rant
I'm confused, are they implying in episode 6 that Daon slept with Suhyeon? I mean obviously Suhyeo spent the night but am I supposed to believe after the scene in the entrance that he just unbuttoned his shirt and went to sleep?
so how old is the younger one meant to be? cause he acts like a 14 year old and it makes the older/younger teacher-student…
He acts even younger, like a 12 year old. I don't got why Yu Xing would be attracted to him unless he's not right in the head. The second couple holding the series by a thread.
Thoughts on re-watch 5 years later: - Green is funny and cute at times but still no excuse for being a stalker who won't take no for an answer - Fake dating era of Sarawatine was kinda cute, two beautiful dudes flirting - Fong's a good friend, the rest - no so much - Mil's a trashcan and Sarawat's brother was super annoying - Why does Sarawat look like he's gonna puke when he kisses Tine? Can't believe I'm saying this but I'll take a fakeout like in Cherry Magic over this. Bright's face is having a seizure - The squinty twichy eye Bright keeps making during dramatic scenes is really taking me out of the story - Green and Dim are what now? I had completely forgotten. Green, chasing after Tine when someone is waiting at home!? Such poor writing - Omg, Fiat, is that you babe? - Man's a supporting friend but also an unforgivable stalker - You guys are moving in together and barely had a proper hug? - This is so boring now, it's going nowhere - You're bringing a condom bouquet? What for, these dudes ain't touchin' other than pat pat on the head - Oh, god, please no, not another girl hijacking this relationship - We've gone from silly fluffy to angsty paranoia for Tine and Sarawat acting like he's over their 20 year old relationship where they did nothing but fight Ending: this entire series was held on the back of Win's cuteness and charm. Bright's face can't make up for the way he butchered Sarawats's character after episode 6.
