I remember when 90's (or is it early 2000s?) kdramas had that streak of BEs, but those were good.... but after a while they outgrew those and finally had HEs.
Maybe Cdramas haven't reached that point yet when they can stick an HE naturally. (or any ending for that matter. I hated some of the episode endings even in TTEOTM. They felt like a dropped phone call, not a satisfying cliffhanger.)
BEs are not necessarily bad if done right, and as BL (or LYX?) said, BEs stick to the minds of the viewers more than HE.
The end shouldn't dictate how much we the viewers should love the drama. (ahaha look at us!)

As for me, I live for the one that happens after "The End".😁

I think he is, just judging on the casual remark that he made in one of the bts about capes and cloaks in the drama like how Benedict Cumberbatch from one of the Doctor Strange press tours corrected one reporter when that reporter called his cloak a cape.
I just put one and one together and concluded that LYX at the very least is familiar with the Marvel Universe, and might even be a fan of the movies....

#1. Spider demon woman is only there to fill in the gap that SY and JM left.
#2. I loved that convo between them. It emphasized how different the 2 DGs were in the way they see things. Is the cup half full or half empty?? Is TTJ's life miserable or happy? It kinda makes one reflect on how perspective clouds or clears our judgements and actions.
#3. It's just devastating how as the full DG he realizes the things that need to happen had to involve LSS, and the twisted fate that they were tangled in.
#7-10. That dream really contained his dream of simply having a mortal life with LSS by his side💔 they (TTJ amd LSS) really poured out every unspoken feeling in that single kiss (no wonder it went on for so long that nobody had the mind to say "Cut!")
oh, so from that moment on, whenever she visits the memory pearl, will LSS always relive that consummation scene?😅

LSS isn't as enlightened as Master Zhaoyou, probably. But then, unlike Master, LSS knows more about TTJ than he does--like how TTJ could be prone to killing enemies and traitors to him (yes, justified, most of them but still, it's killing)-- so most of her reactions are indeed triggers that were really never resolved properly.
