I wanted to FF but her scenes are mixed too closely with MY and SJ, so I'm gritting my teeth through her scenes.😖

The romance that started out all wrong😮‍💨 😥 and the theme of "the life of one person vs the life of many" are the main points to think about in this episode. TH and the choice she made, with its accompanying reasoning shows how privilege could sometimes blind people to the conditions of others who are not like them and who do not have the same advantages. The ancient crystal was everything to the Mohe River people and yet, for TH, it was just a thing for one person to use. Even MY couldn't also fully understand how grave the loss of the crystal was for the clam tribe and SJ herself, especially considering that he is a GOD. (Novel MY was even worse in witholding the crystal just because TH was waking up, thus SJ had to resort to =ahem= means) It was just so annoying to see and yet...it happens.😔
That marriage was simply a disaster waiting to happen at the get go. Two people who hadn't even met each other are bound in marriage, one of whom wouldn't even be bothered to know about the other person. Good thing SJ is in love with MY otherwise this could've gone much worse. But her timidity is her downfall too...if only she had told him about her feelings much sooner..........
But yeah, BL is spot on in saying SJ's love for MY was like a fan crushing on her idol. If only they were given the chance to grow into the marriage, then--- but of course we all know a certain someone will be hell bent to prevent that from happening😡😥

...can't skip TH scenes so have to endure her selfishness..her whole reasoning about getting the crystal for MY is pure entitlement and selfishness..never mind that they were in a precarious situation, she wasn't even thinking about compensating the clam tribe for taking the crystal😡 THIS is what makes TH so despicable as a character😡 nevermind being the green eyed monster from hell👿🤬🤬 they should've just left her in the river to rot (this is going to be a TH rant if this is going to go on so I'm stopping)
...SJ of course assuming the fault and compensating for it😥 she's such a pure soul

...but MY is kinda the same as TH in terms of not thinking about any compensations isn't he? It hurts me to say that, but.... it takes the clam king to demand something, thus the agreement is very forced. He can't even come up with any alternatives
...of the three characters played by DW, Sang You is the one I like the most. I love his sibling dynamics with SJ, how he dotes and cares for her🥰
...SJ is really pretty with her wedding dress.. and awwww the clam king looking through SJ's childhood toys and things🥺

...MY looking at the heavenly pillars must just be seeing the wars that have taken place there, instead of indulging in the happiness of the event😔

Just push through with watching the complete episodes...you won't get the answers you want if you only watch the clips. It will eventually explain the timeline, or you'll understand how the timeline works eventually. Yes, YXW is LSS who "possessed" (there's a better word for it, but as of now, this will do) the original YXW's body. TTJ being evil is up for discussion, as is his being the villain in the last episode.

I think YXW did say at one episode that her dad and Zhaoyou weren't really that involved in mortal affairs, that even if she went to them, they would only see her as mortal YXW and not LSS, and thus be reluctant to help out a mortal..

...it's really a lose-lose situation for YQY and the Ye family to serve the Sheng emperor... on one hand, if they lose the Jia Pass, they will be branded traitors and maybe executed for their failures, on the other hand, if they do defeat Jing Kingdom, the people will love them and the petty emperor will be jealous and plot their downfall.. it all boils down to what is important to YQY.. glad he chooses well.
...Even if he only understands sympathy and not feel it, TTJ sure does have sentiments for the poor people who don't have power, having been one himself, and the way it resonates with YQY shows how kindhearted these two people are.

...so when I first watched this, I felt pity for YBC being the only one left to face the people's wrath on the Ye family's betrayal. At the FIRST watch, ok?🤣
...but really, i found the 2nd cp's acting as too dramatic for me to be believable, even then.. YBC is too clingy and clearly doesn't understand how it is to be a soldier's wife, which really made me think before that something's up with her. Plus at that time i was able to search for the novel so i was kinda guarded with her motivations and actions (tho i remember not understanding, really, what novel YBC was up to, so I was interested to see it here in the drama.)

I didn't realize this was the start of the Bo're Dream, but the good thing is FINALLY the two lovebirds are together again, no mopey TTJ anymoooore... and the first half really shows how insightful TTJ can be about people even if he doesn't feel anything for them😊

...I feel really sad for YXW here as she remembers her sect members and her immortal family when explaining to PR why she needs to go to the Barren Abyss. I mean, she could just have stayed happily in this timeline since she has the Ye family to care for her, but the mission to alter the destiny of her fallen sect members keeps her from fully enjoying what she has in this timeline, and she sacrifices that happiness to continue on with her mission.💔
...that was really a missed opportunity to see TTJ interacting with the Yiyue tribe. We could've gotten a scene showing the lifestyle of the tribe, probably even a little bit love conflict with Nian Muning (NB's sister)..but no, let's skip to TTJ quickly ascending to the throne, coz regulations.😮‍💨😤 (btw, death by rat is gruesome.🤢)
...TTJ's patience with his ministers is 😯 i felt exhausted with their unreasonable arguments. That soup...😰 in the novel it was so gross, and shows how twisted novel TTJ's sense of humor is.
