These two recent episodes are alright. Scenes are not as choppy as before, and the episodes really sparked my interest in upcoming episodes. But the dialogue does throw me off. Characters talk about events that happened “over and over again,” but we only see it happen once, probably due to the drama being cut. Also, the new antagonist to the FL is the veteran general Luo Bin, who enters the palace to save Concubine Shu and to get rid of the FL. However, it was Jun Qing who recommended him to Concubine Shu’s father to save Concubine Shu. Initially, I thought this is part of Jun Qing’s plan, but when the FL is kidnapped, Jun Qing didnt know the FL will be kidnapped. So maybe I missed something in the cut episodes, or Jun Qing made a mistake with recommending a person who wants to kill the FL. The saddest part of these episodes is Concubine Li, sacrificing her baby in order to survive in the harem. She poisons her own baby to frame Concubine Shu and get rid of her. Concubine Li also uses this plot to have the FL lower her guard.
The first episode of this drama feels like it belongs in the middle of the drama. I don't understand the FL's relationship with her "friends" and the FL's relationship with that hotel manager, David. The ML's randomly starts to smile and like her in episode 2? Drama just feels awkward with not much explaining and has super choppy scenes. I'm honestly still watching for Ma Mengwei.

We honestly don't really know. What we do know is that body of the Empress is not dead, and the person in MoWan's body has the memories of both sisters. There are many clues given throughout the drama, that MoXin took over MoWan body. She keeps saying my "Zhong'Er" and when they first swapped, she wonders, why she was in her little sister's body. However, the fact that she has MoWan's memories does make it confusing.

These are probably the reasons why they allow Yu Ying to attend.

I think you should definitely continue, although you will mostly see the harem at times going against each other and YuYing making a fool of herself. However, the ML and FL's acting skills are amazing. Episode 26 does get better for the two leads, so definitely stay for that!

Her agreeing to the emperor is caused by the death of her eunuch. At that moment, she realizes that she needs the emperor's love in order to have power within the harem. But shouldn't she already know that? She has experience from the memories of her sister. She even says before she went to the palace that she needs power to get revenge. This is why writers should never forget who their characters are. But I completely agree with you that the scenes were very choppy and could have been more dramatic.

I think this is bc the ML is under house arrest inside the palace. But I completely agree with you. In these past 4 episodes, he has done nothing. I do hope he gets more development and action in the future episodes.
I am certainly still enjoying this drama somewhat... I am still enjoying the story, as our FL plan to enact her revenge and the ML tries to end corruption within the kingdom. But that is pretty much it... I can tell 100% that this drama was supposed to be longer. These two most recent episodes were SUPER choppy and out of place. The dialogue and lines at times don't mistake. Also, the writers forgot how keen and intelligent the female lead was. In the earlier episodes, she recognizes the fabric of a dead homeless man on the streets and saw through the trick of the little girl. But in the recent episode, she can't even recognize the cut-out fabric of the MAN SHE LOVES. This is one of the worst things a writer can do to his/her character. The character can't just suddenly become dumb just by entering the palace. However, my rating is still above an 8, even with these negative details only because I am supporting her goals in gaining revenge. I won't discuss whether she is right or wrong to start a mass killing of the antagonists or if it's correct to use her sister's body.
