How is it possible that every episode leaves me with new knowledge and smiles? The ending to episode 6 is just too cute and can't wait for upcoming episodes!
I know the FL seems so calm for someone who just found out that her fiancé cheated on her but it makes sense because I think she’s still trying to process the fact that they’ve been together 10 years and this is so out of the blue. Her fiancé is scum for treating her like a trophy girlfriend and not recognize that she loves her job and wants to have a career. But she’s just hanging onto this relationship because she devoted 10 years to it. I feel like we’ll see her breaking point soon. I find this a bit realistic because if she had broken off with him cleanly with no hesitations, I would’ve questioned if she loved him at all.
The ML looks like he’s a poker face but his micro expressions reveal otherwise. The little smirks, the eyebrow raises, the general body language…you can see that he’s trying to read the FL and finds her interesting. He’s still a mystery at this point and we don’t know much about his background but we have time. I do have to wonder what kind of backstory he has that made him into the person that he is. The FL calls him cold-hearted but she fails to see how many times he’s actually been there for her. She has hurt her ankle twice in these episodes and both times he was there to help…come on now…
(I also wanna congratulate Liu Xueyi on landing his dream role - he's mentioned in interviews so many times before that he wants to play a rich dude that does nothing except drive fancy cars and drink coffee LOL. Compared to his other dramas, this one is very relaxing.)
The FL’s younger brother and best friend…I generally don’t mind older woman/younger guy pairings (My Fated Boy, anyone? So cute!) but I need a good backstory to really support this pair. Hopefully they’ll reveal how/why the younger guy fell for her. I’d also like to see him mature.
I really like the development between Dai-chan and Rio so far. My favorite scene in this episode is when they're at the crosswalk and Rio's eyes start to well up when she says she didn't commit the murder. I like that we can't see Dai-chan's face when he says he believes her but we can sense how conflicted he feels when he stops himself from hugging her back. Props to Yoshitaka Yuriko here - the way she just naturally started crying was beautiful.
On the other hand, I also like Kase-san with Rio. I don't doubt that he considers her as family but there's probably something more than that. He puts his duty to protect her over his personal feelings. Of course at the same time I'm also eyeing him like Dai-chan looks at him as well. Something suspicious there.
And Yuu...that last scene really got me crying. I can't wait to find out what happened to him after all these years.
I'm halfway through this drama and Nami is going down as one of the most disliked heroines for me. Her unprofessionalism is one of the worst that I've seen. It's OK that she doesn't like Reiko because not all of us like our bosses, but to talk smack about her in front of other people in the industry is a hard no for me. It's like going to a job interview and badmouthing your former company. She's just lucky that Reiko sees something worthy in her (I can't see it) to keep her around. Other bosses would've fired her immediately for that attitude. The fact that she doesn't seem to recognize this is also irritating.
I like the other characters enough to keep watching. They could've made Reiko the heroine and it would've more interesting.
Grateful to whomever casted these two because they are absolutely adorable together. Episode 2 had me smiling in the first half, then teared up in the middle and smiling again at the end.
I really hate watching dramas that are still airing but couldn't help myself with this one. Just watched the first episode and already I can hear Morio's "Yukiko-san!" echo in my head haha. Can't wait to watch these two fall in love.
A bit late to the game but just finished this. Enjoyed every moment of it, no boring episodes or dragged out scenes. I know this is supposed to be a romcom but I think I enjoyed the friendships the most. Senka is honestly the best thing to have happened to most of them.
I definitely agree. Yu'er's character is more engaging as she fumbles along in all the schemers around her. I…
Exactly. Yan Zhi was forced to become the person that she is and she's carrying so much baggage with her. Yu'er is a fresh breath of air because she doesn't have the same experiences, which also makes her stand out but also very exciting to watch her grow.
Yes! My exact feelings, both sisters have their own charm & strength.Love seeing how Ruo Yu's character grows…
He is right, how can he not love her? She is exactly the person he needs. She is strong when he needs her help on their missions and sweet when he needs comforting.
