Haha I watched the drama back when it aired. I was talking about eng subs to his YouTube channel video where he invited her. Nonetheless, thank you! :)
So-not-able-to-be-productive today. Nami & Jun are taking over my brain. I wonder how fans of this drama are coping.…
Awww you're cute. I'm swamped with work & study. Plus I am watching 10 ongoing J dramas currently so no time to re-watch this.. but yes I did hum the song many times & wonder how their relationship will be going forward..
THAT ENDING! I did not see that coming. Mind blown even though it made me uncomfortable. I will never ever forget…
And the fact that they even showed us all those flashbacks (which were very specific) made me realise that I didn't see the signs at all. It changed the narrative, and had me re-thinking all those scenes between Shiori & Shibata. Surprisingly, it all started to make sense retrospectively. Like WOW that was one hell of a powerful twist.
My question for those who watched this - did you think Shibata always had feelings for Shiori? I can't make up my mind.
Reasons for saying YES - 1. He reached out to Shori first & was always more interested in making conversations with her rather than Kaori.
2. When he took both of them & got on the train.. what moved him (see his reactions) was actually the fact that he may not be able to see Shiori again rather than concern for Kaori.
3. If I remember correctly, there was a scene in the train station when Kaori's husband had a conversation with Shibata about the mouth organ.. for some reason Shibata was happy that Shiori did not share the mouth organ with the guy.
Reasons for saying NO 1. There was nothing outrightly creepy or romantic in any of his gestures to Shiori (be it touch or stare or anything like that)
2. He did love Kaori right?
3. He did feel happy when Shiori called him her father.
4. The shift was more obvious when he came out of jail & Shiori was a young woman (who looked a lot like Kaori)
Did nobody realize the Hana Kami reunion!?!? No fans here? C' mon Nakatsu (Toma) annd Sekime (Masaki) back on…
Wait WHAT?!!!! Did you just say a Hana Kimi reunion? I thought of starting this after 4-5 episodes are subbed but now I just got to start it. I love them so much omgggggggg
It was an okay watch but almost all of the plots were unbelievable, it was too conveniently solved...lol...if…
I don't think anything was 'solved' other than the ML being able to face his ex. The struggles were still very much there. All they did was to open up their hearts, and look forward. The conversations were honest, and the characters were mature. Not the most realistic drama, but definitely not unrealistic.
Slice of life doesn't always mean that you need to have characters in despair picking themselves up.
Please add Go Ayano and Gakki's Soratobu Kohoushitsu, it's very good but kinda underrated.
Oh yes, I loved it so much. It's a must watch! But it's not really a romcom? All those on my list are romcoms. Btw have you seen Neechan No Koibito? I feel like you'll really like it!
Nonetheless, thank you! :)
