I am yet to watch E3 but is he even her boyfriend? I thought he was just a friend or someone she has history with,…
Right. But didn't he say that Mochizuki who was Haruto in disguise. Roomie doesn't know about the switch, but he clearly understood that she wasn't the same, and milked the situation. They even slept together (very different from the dynamic presented in E1) Urgh I have so many questions!
I didn't even realise he's the same guy from Ikemen Desu Ne!!! I thought that Oh My Boss was the first time I'm seeing him. Damn he looked so different in Ikemen.
E4 WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. I LOVED IT SO MUCH OMGGGGGGGGGCAN'T WAIT FOR E5 *screaming through the roof*sorry…
Loved the insight on Reiko's character & her beginnings. Loved the development in Nami's character. Also, who would have thought that Nami would kiss Jun like that? KYAAAAAAAA <3 I didn't realise how much chemistry they had, not until that kiss under the rain! The way they looked at each other was beautiful. Also, I didn't expect it, but looks like Nami/Jun's relationship would be quite a rollercoaster going forward. I am starting to doubt that they will be endgame.
Also, I am glad that Nami/Jun are not the central focus of this. I quite like the focus on her job, & on Reiko / Nami. Glad that this is a J drama lol
Sakaba & Yukina's love/hate relationship was so much FUN. I did not expect to enjoy and love this movie so much. Now I need another movie/drama with the two of them together, they were PERFECT together!
Is this like the best season for J dramas? I am in love with all of the ongoing ones! Got to add this to my list…
Same, dude. I am watching 10 ongoing J dramas currently. That is A LOT! We're watching a lot of the same ones as I saw your comments hehe I always tell myself don't watch when they are airing because sometimes, they stop subbing or the subs are delayed for months. But damn I couldn't resist. All the ongoing dramas are fantastic.
I've watched the 1991 version of this drama and I can confidently say this was never meant to be a romcom. Also,…
Yeah it's a mix of both genres. Happy to meet another J drama fan :) Are you watching any currently? This season is filled with fantastic J dramas. I am actually watching 10 ongoing ones :0

To be honest, even though this is called Tokyo Love Story, my viewing of the 1991 version made me realise this was not a romance/romantic drama at all. The drama seemed to focus more on 4 different people in a relationship, and the complex emotions of being in one [focusing a lot on Rika's character, and the freedom she yearned contrasted with Kanji's desire to want to tie down his partner & the various other facets to the relationship]. I haven't watched this version because I heard there is a rape scene so I've been hesitating.
I mostly watch the mature & darker J dramas so I've seen a lot of good natural acting that has blown me away.. but yeah it must be a matter of taste I guess. I'm pretty new to this site & I often see J dramas being criticised & placed in a general category which irks me because out of all the other various counterparts, they bring out the most variety of storytelling and human emotions so I feel the need to be like that's not true lol Nothing against you.
THAT ENDING! I did not see that coming. Mind blown even though it made me uncomfortable. I will never ever forget this drama especially because of that ending. Like it will forever bug me that I'll never know what the writer fully meant (it could go either way, see spoiler)
This was a great drama. Very simple, but really deep. Great acting, OST, story & just all that outdoor filming. DAMMNNNNN I've never seen any drama film literally from one part of Japan all the way to the other part.. the amount of places they went & all that beauty they captured. Watch it, it's a very different story that will leave an everlasting impression.

sorry for the caps I was excited as you can see
That's the misery that always comes with watching an ongoing J drama.

Hope you enjoy them! I added a few more..
