Not them making Rui dance next to Jingyi tho and the "I can't dance" is so true with not just Chiwen but Rui too π This scene makes me laugh but watching Rui dance... haha he ain't acting in this scene, he is so cuteeee dancing, this is how he normally dances anyway π I love itttt π€ I can't dance either so I feel Rui lol
Still a 10/10 for me ahhh it's soooo good!!!! The way it has been my most anticipated drama since the reuters and it has not disappointed me even slightly yet like... I think this drama exceeded my expectations when my expectations were already sooo high, it's just that good!!!!
This is exactly why I prefer original scripts over novel adaptations (though I still love adaptations, haha).…
I agree with you. At least no one knows what's gonna happen next and being able to experience it all together is truly soooo fun! And yes, this drama is just so perfect and intriguing with its storytelling and I barely find any flaw in it, it's soooo good!!! All the acting of each character is also incredible like they all slayed in their roles! My gosh, I cannot wait for everything to unravel. Still sad it only has 29 eps esp since I'm just sooo obsessed with it and then there will be those dramas I wish had less LOL, I am so curious about Wuyi... I feel like there's smth more to her with the fact she can use her powers in the illusion (btw, just watched 10 eps)
Same dude their chemistry got me hooked so bad I wasn't expecting that after Zhang zhehan and shunxi her chemistry…
Glad I'm not the only one! π Btw, I didn't actually get to watch those dramas yet... tell me, are they good and worth it to watch? How's the story and writing? I know there's def flaws in them but overall, would it be worth watching? I always get nervous when starting dramas that don't have the highest ratings but still try to give some of them a shot. Some tend to be good tho
Didn't expect to love Rui and Jingyi's chemistry THIS MUCH???? During reuter shooting, I wasn't sure if I'd like them so I didn't have much expectations for them but like now.... after watching them on screen, I'm actually obsessed with them????? They're already one of my most favorite couples (definitely gonna add them onto my profile lol)???? Their scenes make me cry most of the time πππ But I just started watching the illusion arc and I love it sooo much already! Was planning to continue to Ep.11 but like... we'll only be getting 1 ep a day for at least 5-6 days... might as well save them so I don't do 1 ep a day for most days lmao
I just realized/found out Rui and Jingyi both sing the same song individually! Omg, we need a duet now right π Anyways, they both sound so beautiful!!! π₯Ή
I won't interact but man those who bring hate to a specific actor in the comments section... how do they have the time lmao. At least they're helping with comment count, that's all I'll say. You have a lot to do in life and you choose to use it to waste on hate and complaints. That actor is distinguishably one of the most talented ones out there and you have the urge to say that lol. Doesn't seem like some ppl know what real talent is π€·π»ββοΈ
The scene between Chiwen and Ji Ling in Ep.8 had me bawling sooo hard, I could really feel Ji Ling's pain when he found out he was only a puppet π He just wanted to live for himself; he wanted his existence to have meaning, not to be used. In the end, the one he trusted most, and who was dearest to him (Chiwen) betrayed him, lied to him, used him, and manipulated him. Imagine how heartbroken and betrayed he feels???? π He is Ji Ling! Someone who has emotions! He can cry, he can feel things... even tho he is a puppet, there's so much going on in his heart right now.
It's sad bc Chiwen described Ji Ling as the happy and carefree self he was in the past and he wanted to keep him bc he missed who he was :( Now, Chiwen is going through a lot and wanted to see someone who was like his past self... but now, Ji Ling knows everything, he feels pain just like he did, and the once-carefree version of him is gone so he killed him. But I know he'll bring him back, I just know it. He definitely cares for him, I can see it in his eyes especially when he listened to Ji Ling talk π₯Ί
Lemme hurry up and watch the next episodes hahaha... too much emotions kicking in right now but I love it!
Oh wait...Zhu Yan was mentioned in today's episode π₯² unless I'm wrong... ep 9 around 38 min mark. subtitles…
Okay I am gonna pay attention when I watch Ep.9 but nvm the pay attention, I'll probably notice it when it comes lol I miss him sooooooo much ahhhhhh ππππ
Heβs got tremendous talent. My first drama of his was Fangs of Fortune and he drew my attention from the first…
Right? He's so good! I was starting to get into historical Cdramas in 2023 but even more in 2024 and thats when I watched MJTY (in June) and I remember thinking, "Yuanzhi might become my favorite character here (he ended up being my fav ofc lol)" not knowing it was his debut and his only role at the time! I can't forget with Yichen I felt the same thinking he might become my fav too. Thats when you know you start to love an actor even more that their characters become your fav π But yeah these two are very very different, it is so shocking just seeing them both and comparing them cuz they are complete opposites. He is one of the most talented actors who rlly knows how to act β€οΈβπ₯ππ» Bc I mean... look at Ji Ling and Longshen / Chi Wen..... π³
I'm impressed as well!He started taking singing more seriously recently, taking lessons with a vocal teacher,…
Yes I can tell! He's improved a lot since FoF! But ofc he was so good during that time too but even better in his recent song! He never fails to amaze me. I will so look forward to seeing him release his own song and performing it in the future π₯Ή
Yes during the filming period, we were all looking forward to him. We all found him so cute and knew it'd be his first drama! I love him too, he is so adorable! π€π₯Ή

Also, I just need to praise Tian Jiarui for this. He had to play two completely different characters in several scenes TOGETHER and he acted both characters so distinctively well like sooo incredibly. It's rare to find an actor like that. His eyes, microexpressions, gestures, habits, mannerisms from both characters are so distinguishable, I can't even begin to express how impressed I am with Rui! No doubt, I am looking forward to seeing more of his future roles. Like I always did, but the way I am so eager even more? How can he play so many different characters in one drama amazes me π©
