We watch dramas with bullies all the time and we celebrate when karma gets the bully. If the accounts are true, then this actress deserves nothing less than that same karma. The stories paint a very disturbing picture and people need to see that no amount of time or fame will shield them from the consequences of their actions.
I enjoyed this. It's light and fun. I'm glad I never saw the Chinese one cos I'd hate to keep comparing the two versions in my head. It was nice to watch something with characters that didn't make me yell at my screen all the time lol.
What a wild ride! I'm so happy I watched this show cos it gave me so many laughs and heartfelt moments. For the finale: 1. I'm glad So Yong got to actually live a full life and make her dreams a reality. I would've been so sad if she had just died miserable and lonely.
2. I'm glad Bong Hwan actually learned something from the experience cos I doubted him a lot for most of it lol
3. I'm confused about how BH's situation in modern times got resolved cos it seems the way he ended up in the pool changed? I didn't get that and I wish they'd been clearer about it.
4. I wish we'd gotten more time with Cheoljong and So Yong after BH left so we could see how their relationship was now that it's just the 2 of them even though Cheoljong doesn't really know why things are different.
5. The line by So Yong that KBI found her "even when she was hiding" showed me that she'd been using BH as a cover because she thought she was useless and felt hopeless, until the trauma of being shot brought her back to her senses and she decided to act.
6. I also would've loved to see some more of how BH changed because of this experience. Apart from not being completely self-serving anymore, I wanted to know more.
All in all, I didn't find the ending wildly unsatisfactory. I didn't want So Yong to die so BH could discover himself. She already lived a sad enough life up to the point of the switch. I also didn't expect BH to die and that we'd never have a resolution to his own conflicts in his life.
I can see how the ending would be disappointing but I'm not mad at it at all. Even knowing how it ends now I would still rewatch it.
Eps 17 and 18 were so good, again. I keep waiting to be bored but this show never disappoints. Yes, the king was absent for most of the last episode, because it was essential to the story. As much as I despise KBI, everything he did will have an impact on the finale. Including whether or not he chooses to accept that the So Yong he has been pining for is no longer here. This show doesn't waste moments so I never felt like a scene was unnecessary. We could've had the whole episode without the king at all and I wouldn't have minded cos everything makes sense.
I am very eager to see how this story ends, especially if Bong Hwan will learn anything from this experience that will follow him back to the future (I'm assuming he'll go back because he's in a coma right now, unless they pull the plug in the future and he lives the rest of his life as So Bong). I still can't believe this show has been so captivating from start to finish.
Me reading the comments before watching ep 14: oh wow this is gonna be some major love triangle drama with an unnecessary time jump, huh?
Me after watching ep 14: what the- everything is clear and there's no actual triangle why is that even-? ತ_ತ
Lol. It all seems pretty chill to me. I don't know why we went 2 years ahead for some reason but I don't mind it if it was just going to be 2 years of pining. They seemed on good terms when Su Ho left and Seo Jun appears to be a good friend, which I can appreciate.
Also, Soo Jin really turned into a whole other character and THAT I do not appreciate. She used to stand up for the underdog but now she turned into a bully? Over a boy? Nah. That's trash.
Okay so, I see some positive comments wondering why we find the ML Lead creepy, well let me explain//spoilersFirst…
Everything you listed made me so uncomfortable while I was watching the show. Tbh if I was the FL I may have reacted with violence to some of his behaviour and then reported him for harassment cos wtf. Liking someone is your problem, and liking them isn't an all access pass to their life or their body.
I initially didn't get that he sat on that information for a whole month, and then in the end he decided forcing her to go to a strange place and witness her unfaithful partner while people she didn't know watched was a good idea? He clearly dgaf about her feelings and was only thinking of how to maneuver her into a situation where she'd feel he was the next best option. I found that whole scene at the shop so icky.
Hella creeped out by the ML. A lot of his actions are major red flags. Following FL like a stalker, touching her without permission, interfering in her life because he "likes her". He already feels like a typical entitled man with the way he thinks he has a right to FL when he doesn't actually know anything about her or her situation. Lol he didn't even know she had been seeing someone for TWO YEARS.
I hope there will be some growth with his character but I'm doubtful. I do like the FL though so I may keep watching just for her.
And yes, FL's bf is a huge douche for putting her in this situation for whatever reason. He should've insisted that the girl get therapy and ask the family to leave him out of it but he didn't and then continued seeing FL for 'reasons'. Absolute trash. Still not ML's business though.
This article is really messy and missing a lot of information which the public may never be privy to. I'm wary of passing judgment on someone when I don't know anything about them or their circumstances and it's unfortunate that this drama is in limbo for any reason. A lot of people put work into it and now they can't see the fruits of their labour.
I really wish there would be a moment in a future episode where it's stated that Su Ho is getting therapy cos I will worry about his stability until I'm sure it's happening. The kid needs so much help.
The petal falling on NDS being the major reason why NDS and SDM should end up together, while ignoring all the…
@mirrorer When you have to preface your statement with "not to sound racist BUT", you're clearly about to say something racist. You could've kept your comments to the show specifically but you opted to be racist and that's really unfortunate. Hating on Asians for talking about an Asian show because you don't agree with them... sad.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand why Joo Gyung couldn't just tell Soo Jin that she and Soo Ho were dating. Especially after she decided to tell her friends about them. Why was it so hard to say that she had to wait until Soo Jin said she likes Soo Ho so she could have another excuse for staying quiet? Lol. I have to keep reminding myself that the characters are high school kids cos so many of these choices are too ridiculous but they're entertaining so I'm still watching.
Also, that car crash scene was so melodramatic that I couldn't take it even a little seriously.
I've always gotten the feeling that the friend resents him a little for various reasons. He may not even be aware…
Well, he's his friend and he likes him but I always felt like there was some resentment there especially with some of the things he said to KSG. I don't think it's a deep resentment though, so it's something he'll probably get over especially now that KSG isn't around anymore.
was that KSG's sister's picture inside his friend's locker? if so then is he the boyfriend ksg and her sister…
I've always gotten the feeling that the friend resents him a little for various reasons. He may not even be aware of this feeling but it comes to the surface anytime he's with KSG.
I agree....i was very put off by that...Esp with the recent scene. Like damn...that broke my heart for him. What…
Exactly. I get that she may not like how he got into her life but he also didn't ask to be a part of that family. It always leaves me uneasy the way she interacts with him. I'm now scared that he will do something drastic that could be avoided.
I don't care that she's tactless and rude and very entitled, but we've seen that she isn't downright evil so I find it hard to like her at all when she treats him like that just for existing.
I get that Dan Ah has issues with her dad, but I can't keep excusing her behaviour towards her youngest brother. He is a walking cry for help and she keeps telling him to stop existing. I can't stand that.
He also was willing to marry her without asking questions. It was an agreement that they had and she was the one…
Lol. I'm not gonna insult you cos of a random show on the internet but you should go take a walk outside or something cos you're being unnecessarily aggressive towards strangers because they enjoy a show you clearly hate and yet chose to watch.
