The fact that she could literally just search him up online and find out what her "husband" looks like but they apparently decided she should be too stupid for that is grating on my nerves. He's a wealthy businessman with what looks like a popular company. It shouldn't be that hard to decipher. I'm only on ep 2 but I'm already highly irritated with this drama.
i like this drama and wanna keep watching it but some things make me so mad. the producers or show hosts (idk…
The producers are just vile as far as I'm concerned. They act like they care about her but deliberately put her in humiliating and dangerous situations. I wish she could just be a tiny bit more assertive. Tell them no if they can't guarantee her safety. I'm sure the contract doesn't say she has to suffer injury on camera for their entertainment.

I really don't understand what Ja Kyung expects to happen once she makes herself known. She abandoned her child for almost a decade (unwillingly sure), and returns and displays these unhinged tendencies including being violent. Unless she plans to kidnap the boy, there's no real future where she can claim what she believes is hers legally. Also, girl, why would you even want that man????? He's clearly a total waste of space. I'm sure this all seemed like a grand idea to her at the start but I really wonder how she thinks it will work out.
Once again I'm here feeling sorry for Hee Soo and this hell she's slowly slipping into now. Add that to being pregnant and it's just going to be a thousand times worse. I also think she should be making more of an effort to spend more time with her son now that she's suspicious instead of going on with business as usual. It's obvious the tutor is whispering in his ear and she has to counteract that.
I skipped every scene with the young maid/grandson cos I truly cannot overstate how little I care for that plot line. I came for the murder mystery and their romance does nothing for me.
It looks like Hee Soo is one of the victims (not surprising) and that's unfortunate. I really want her to get away from this family. If this ends with her dead and Ji Yong moving on with his next victim, I will be very sad.
After seeing some comments about the end, I really went in expecting the worst of the worst. But hey, it's actually not that bad.
Damian has a lot of explaining to do and I certainly hope Jerry is patient enough to hear him out cos how do you keep a whole child a secret for this long, my dude??? It seemed quite illogical considering that it looked like he hadn't spoken to his ex in at least 6 years, but at the same time their son had no resentment or feelings of abandonment towards him. That maths ain't mathing.
Overall, this is a very warm and sweet show even if it did feel a bit rushed at times. I don't believe the twist at the end is enough for me to throw the whole show away. I enjoyed it and I'd watch it again even knowing what was coming.
Ye Seul has to decide how badly she wants to stay out of jail and then fight for it. She can't allow that ******* to keep holding so much power over her that she keeps undermining her own case. I hope they send him and his hospital bed to jail.
Prosecutor Jin is so corrupt and disgusting that any time he shows up I want to punch my screen. I really need him to get his comeuppance as soon and as dramatically as possible.
Sol A and her mother are as annoying as each other and now I see where she got it from. 11 eps in and I still find her grating so I doubt that will ever change.
I wonder about Kim Eun Shook now cos she was especially devious and manipulative in this episode. I don't want to believe she had anything to do with Prof Seo's death but it would be delicious if she did and got away with it lol. Imagine Prof Yang's reaction!
I'm trying to focus on just those threads cos the side stories are not as interesting to me (I don't really care where Kang Dan is right now, or if the pedophile finds his son or whatever and so on and so on).
so yall, who do you think are the ones that died? and the mother emma nun is very strangely tangled up with the…
That nun knows too much about being shady to be clean. I'm sure she has a connection to the chairman. I'm thinking Hee Soo could be one of the victims at this point, although I hope not.
I'm hoping the young maid isn't one of the people that's hurt cos she's just hella naive and she doesn't deserve the trouble, but I'm losing hope every episode.
Hee Soo is really the main reason I'm still here cos she's obviously a good person, married to a horrid man and into a loathsome family. I wish she could just leave them all behind.
If I had to work with someone who behaved like the FL, I would be so frustrated and irritated. She screams all the time, is horrifyingly incompetent (for no reason), and apparently somewhere between childhood and adulthood, she forgot how to straighten her hair? Her over the top reactions to everything (literally, EVERYTHING) are so extreme and make her appear really stupid and frankly tiresome.
As for the ML, you don't need someone to be your childhood sweetheart to treat them with respect ffs. His contempt for everyone around him makes him really unattractive and I can't find myself rooting for him at all.
I'm 4 episodes in and suffering severe SLS already. I don't believe this will get any better but I will power through and hope for the best.
Lol. Reading the comments, I legit thought the lead couple got divorced during the making of the drama and it affected the execution. It's weird to me that people are saying they can't watch the drama the same because the actors just got divorced but hey ┐( ˘_˘)┌ do you
So far, I'm on ep 6 and it seems very slow but I guess they had to fill out those 78 episodes somehow.
Really loved the duel. The fighting was truly captivating. Once again, I'm left wondering about Changge's ability to think beyond what is directly in front of her. Choosing to reveal herself to the captured general and then save him because every one in Khan's camp is an idiot? (Well the fact that they think she's a man is not an argument in their favour but still) It wasn't a good plan and once again, Sun is left at a disadvantage because he can't seem to see straight where Changge is concerned and always gets involved. I laughed when Changge asked him to stay out of her way cos he was basically asking her to do the same thing and they know they're the most stubborn people in their lives.
Leyan and her adopted little brother keep tugging at my heartstrings. I wish someone would find them and feed them and get them a bath already but I know it's not going to happen and it's heartbreaking.
I'm still hoping for and looking forward to Changge actually taking a minute to breathe before making a decision. Just once. She's going to have to keep learning that she can't save everyone and sometimes she needs to sacrifice people for the greater good. It's not pretty, but that's the reality of her life which she hasn't quite accepted yet. I really like her and I am rooting for her.
I took a break from this drama at ep 10 because I couldn't suspend disbelief enough anymore but I came back to finish it solely for JSW.
It was really disappointing to me but I can see how it would be enjoyable. Personally, I wish I could get my time back. I hope to see JSW in something better soon cos he was really too good for this drama.
Absolutely would not recommend but if you find yourself drawn to it, then you may as well give it a try.
She already saw the effects that a war would bring to her people way back after Gongsun Heng's death. She said…
I didn't think I had to also say Leyan was naive since that was literally her entire character at the start and even until now lol. I know they're naive. I don't hold it against Changge. The problem I have with Changge is that she often acts like she knows everything without actually stopping to consider the multitude of information she doesn't have.
Yeah, they're both learning now that they're out of the palace, which, I agree, is the best thing that's happened to them even if it was the result of a tragedy.
I'm just finding it a little harder to see Changge's growth but I am keeping my mind open as I said.

I agree that her heroism has always been at the forefront of her character, and I agree that she is naive (that's painfully obvious). I guess her character growth isn't as obvious to me but I am trying hard to see more of it ┐( ∵ )┌
Really loving Leyan's journey so far. I was worried she'd just be the typical damsel waiting to be rescued but she's learning and growing and her strength of character is starting to show. I'm not all that interested in the romance between her and Hao Du, but I'm sure whenever it happens it'll be just fine.
Still having a little trouble with Changge cos as usual she adds 2 and 2 and comes up with 14. She's been angling for a war since her parents died, but somehow didn't realise that a war with her uncle meant that people would actually die? I found her asking Sun not to fight her people hilarious since she already met him on the battleground. Her naiveté keeps showing and I'm hoping she actually learns something from her encounter with Li Shimin in ep 20. I still wonder what really happened to her mother though cos I don't believe Li Shimin killed her, but Changge isn't ready for that conversation.
This show is great for me so far, and I really love all the performances, especially Dilraba and Zhao Lu Si.
Did they stop dropping subbed episodes daily deliberately? I thought it would end this week but there were no subs for 31/32 today so I guess they want to drag this out as long as possible on the international end ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
ML is absolutely the worst part of this drama for me. He's so unnecessarily stupid that it makes it frustrating to watch even a minute of the show. They could've at least made him someone who learns as things go on but he keeps doing the same stupid things. I actually like all the actors but the ML makes this a chore to watch. I hate loose ends though so I'll probably just skip to the end to see what happens.
