Title Lover or Stranger Spoiler
By episode 9 it's become obvious that she really isn't Qianyi cos all her skills are different and her background is different. However, I'm getting worried about this show trying to make us forget ML's violent, obsessive, manipulative and controlling behaviour by throwing 'cute' scenes in here. Most of ep 8 was Qianyi and Youze bonding and growing close to a backdrop of cutesy, romantic music and moments when it's all a farce that's been orchestrated by him.

I'm starting to get a clearer picture of what happened on the mountain now, cos it seems Youze found someone to replace Qianyi after she broke up with him and fell off the mountain (still don't know if he pushed her yet).

Personally, I prefer who she is when she's with the doctor cos that seems like the most genuine version of herself, and he is the only one who's actually interested in her finding out who she really is and not who he wants her to be (plus he's the only one who hasn't gotten violent with her). Qi Fan is a total waste of space and Youze is only trying to manipulate her into being someone who will never leave him.

I'm only on episode 3 but I'm getting a very strong feeling that she is not Quanyi at all (I'm getting twin sister or plastic surgery vibes). If she was really a violinist her hands would've told her that. Also, how did she not ask for her phone as soon as she could? It's very intriguing though so I'm gonna keep going and I hope the mystery doesn't disappoint.

Anyway Yuanqi, MVP. That kid is such a delight. I love his curiousity and the way he approaches things. His mischief is definitely a product of Tianqi's teaching. I hope we get a scene where we see him pull a prank on Jingzhao lol. His relationship with Shanggu is giving me the same vibes as Bai Qian and Ah Li in TMOPB. I am happy to see Shanggu again and I hope she gets her memories back asap cos I truly don't like the time wasted while she keeps asking what happened over and over again.

Title Ancient Love Poetry Spoiler
I didn't think I would get to this point but now I'm at ep 44 and I absolutely despise Bai Jue and Tianqi. I don't see how they think lying to Shanggu is going to help her at all, but I especially hate Bai Jue for taking her memories. We all know she's going to get them back anyway, then she'll have to grieve all over again for everyone she lost since the tribulation of chaos. It would be a different thing if she really lost her memories because of the transformation from Houchi to Shanggu but no, he deliberately robbed her of a significant part of her life because as usual, he knows better. I wish these men around Shanggu would stop ruining things in their misguided attempts to save her life or whatever. Even now, Tianqi didn't tell her what Wu Huan did to Yuemi, or that Wu Huan has literally been trying to murder her this entire time! They failed to do anything to stop that crazy woman, then they sent Shanggu out into the world with minimal knowledge. They keep treating her like a fool or a child and I'm quite sick of it.

Sorry for the rant but I'm really pissed at them.

Well, those things usually come in the course of a relationship and she had so many, even with her spouse dying on what I assume is more than one occasion. I guess they could've gone into more detail but I just tried to fill in the blanks with what they did reveal.

Lee Hye Ri made this show that much better for me because of her performance, and overall it was just really good. I have to say, my favorite thing about this drama was the absence of unnecessary misunderstandings as a plot device, and the total boss way Dam dealt with everyone around her. She was straightforward and genuine from start to finish and I couldn't help falling in love with her character. My second favorite thing was Kang Han Na as Hye Sun, just being a joy to watch!

I can see myself watching this again and again for the laughs and the warmth it gives. Definitely going to be one of my top romcoms.

She said she kept believing in love even after having her heart broken over and over, so I assumed that was how she got her humanity. As the mountain spirit said, she's the type to take her jacket off in the cold, so the negative experiences only helped her to grow more and get to be a human faster because she didn't avoid them.

I think it is unfair to say he had zero character development since he did go from gumiho to human. I think they…
I always thought since it's called "My Roommate Is A Gumiho" that it was obviously about Dam and from her perspective. As far as character development for Woo Yeo goes, he went from mimicking human expressions to actually feeling the full spectrum of emotions which is how he turned human. The story for me was a success because of Dam and her impact on him. I thoroughly enjoyed JKY's acting because of the subtleties in his performance which showed Woo Yeo learning to accept and deal with his feelings instead of avoiding them like he'd been doing since the last tragedy in his life.

I'm gonn put this on hold until it ends so I can binge it cos I can't be smdh at Na Bi every week. I'll just miss the "will they, won't they" energy oozing off Sol and Ji Wan.

Title My Roommate Is a Gumiho Spoiler
I just find Sun Woo's refusal to leave Dam alone quite annoying and now she'll be forced to care for him because of that Mountain Spirit? Dam has never given Sun Woo any reason to think that being consistent would make her change her mind and I just hope this red string thing is ultimately unimportant.

Looks like I'm into second female lead the same way I ripped second male lead yesterday when you start saying…
She has always been conceited though? That's why it's even funnier when it's obvious that she doesn't know a lot of things. She's hundreds of years old, beautiful and a gumiho. She's never been presented as someone who thinks humans are on the same league as she is. I don't think that takes anything away from her character cos she's still learning about being human. She was practically a god for her entire life, so this is to be expected really.

Why so much hate for Wu Huan? Lol. She's stupid, yes, but also easily manipulated because of her background. That hate should really be directed at the Snow Goddess who's an absolute twat for no reason, and at Tian Qi for being so blindingly idiotic. I get it though. Unfortunately for her, she's left herself open to be used again cos she lied and keeps lying to cover up the last lie. She may not have been bad before but it's getting to be too late to turn back now.

I feel so sad for Shang Gu losing 2 of the most important people in her life at once, but also, maybe it wouldn't have come to this if she didn't let him escape in the first (and second) place.

The thing with his mother really bothered me. Like, she knew he was searching for his father and she knew the man was dead but she just let him spend years hoping to be reunited with him? That's all kinds of messed up.

Why did it seem like JJ may have suffered some brain damage in that accident? Also, I may be alone in this but I would've preferred to spend more time with GY's friends than that producer/director couple. I hated them for how they manipulated GY for views from the start and I couldn't turn that around into caring about their relationship. JJ and OIH really shouldn't have been together at the end but I can also see how they felt like they're the only ones for each other considering their history. I hope they get some counseling at some point.

Anyway, it's over and it was indeed a journey. Not groundbreaking or anything, but not wholly unpleasant to watch. It was an ok distraction.

As an aside, Hoo Joon must be SK's Jeff Bezos cos he literally kept paying out massive sums of money and he was just alright? Lol.

@Raraa homophobia, like racism, isn't a matter of a difference of opinion. It's believing some people don't deserve to exist, don't deserve rights, and should be discriminated against and yes, that is wrong.

I think Kang Sol A and Prof Yang are extremely similar. In fact, they could be the same person when it comes to their pursuit of what they believe to be right. The only difference is that Prof Yang has the benefit of many years of practice and seeing the darker side of the law, while Sol A is still very naive. That being said, it's been 12 episodes and I still don't care for Sol A. I'm sure there's some growth on the horizon, but it's just nowhere to be seen right now. I do look forward to it though.

I also have to say that prosecutor Jin constantly taking people's food or drink and finishing it without permission irked me the most in ep 12 cos I would for sure have dumped that bowl of soup in his lap "by mistake".

Prof Kim is getting more and more sus every episode and I hope she's actually the mastermind behind all this.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. My frustration with Ye Seul grows every episode because once she decided she didn't want to go to jail, I hoped she would start acting like she cared about her life. Instead everyone else is running around and doing the work while she keeps undermining them. I really want to believe after ep 12 that she has finally realised that this is a fight for her life and that her ex must be punished.

As for that cheater, I'm so done with everyone coddling him. He started cheating from day 1 and never looked back but we're supposed to feel sorry for him cos he has a baby on the way? Are the other students a joke?

Okay I got to ep 3 and I'm dropping this. It was fun for 20 mins in the first episode. Then I just kept getting more and more irritated and now I can't stand to look at the ML.
