But like the mortal arc of LAD has a lot more going on, and it was damn sad. I actually enjoyed it so it didn’t feel long. The mortal arc here is hella draggy lol
Just one question: How strong is the female lead in this? Is she really capable? Currently watching Legend of…
Baiqian is probably one of the most badass/strongest female leads ever. I’d even say she’s stronger than Fuyao, since Fuyao sometimes needs Wuji protection. Baiqian never needed the male lead protection. She’s also not afraid to do what she wants.
The only weak part was when she became a mortal and temporarily got her memory and power sealed. (But honestly I enjoyed this part most)
A might sign up for this. I'm a sucker for fierce fl and wuxia combined. Will I regret? O-O
Depends. But just a heads up: ‘fierce fl’, nope you’re not getting it in this drama. The girl refuses to kill anyone and gets people in trouble. It has good theme and really stunning cinematography, but not a strong female lead—at least not a strong fl in my dictionary.
Also it depends whether you like the second ml or first ml. I got second lead syndrome, so I regretted c:
I lost interest in episode 1... probably should watch Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms first ??
Different suggestion from above comment, I think you should watch the first few episodes until they go the mortal realm, then you can skip the mortal part (because it’s irrelevant and draggy) to around ep 20. Then afterwards it gets really good.
For those who watched both this and Eternal Love, which is more enjoyable in your opinion?
This one has the romance formula that I like (cool guy, cute girl) and I also loved their couple more than BQ and YH while watching TMOPB. But storyline wise, TMOPB is for the win, more complex and emotional.
