Title Love Story in the 1970s Spoiler
I need more skinship, kissing and affection with the leads in future episodes pls 🙏🏻
Ep 18 we got a little bit. It was sweet and cute and hot. But, I wouldn’t expect too much from a family-friendly show like this. I’m amazed at what we got from the 2nd lead couple.

Bai Lu was really excellent in this. I always liked her, but I have a new respect for her talent after watching this. However, the drama itself wasn’t my cup of tea. The characters were a bit dry and one-dimensional. Also, I don’t like investigative crime dramas—and this especially had too many twists and turns. The villain was one of the most arrogant and insufferable 😩 that I’ve encountered; took too long to bring him down. I grew weary watching this. The “slight romance” was slight indeed, but still very solid. The chemistry was good—two smart leads who fall in love as they work together, both having great respect for the other. It was a sensible style of romance, not lovey-dovey and heartfluttering, but still heartwarming.

Have you watched Xia Ning Jun's version? That's long and really good as well. If I remember correctly, Zhang Yi…
I don’t think I saw his version. I feel like I recently saw him in another drama, but I can’t remember the storyline.

But, the young CP (ie, the young version of the ML) is indeed a transmigrator. Maybe there’s a generation gap and that’s why he couldn’t understand her questions.

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
Question below
That moment while examining the SOS flowers and Yu Wanyin asked the young Crown Prince questions to see if he was a transmigrator, how did that happen? Was that a different timeline? Surely, the Crown Prince and he himself as the Emperor cannot exist in the same timeline. Also, was he pretending or did he legit not understand any of her questions?

girl is meh 😐
No, she’s good—super funny in “Good Day to Be A Dog,” charming and pretty in “Dali & Cocky Prince,” dramatic and charismatic in “Celebrity.” But, I didn’t care for her character in “It’s OK Not To Be OK.”

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To each his own. This actress is not my cup of tea—her vibe, her acting style, her visuals. But, I understand that a lot of people like her.

In this particular drama, her character was especially skittish and uneasy and overly-childlike (from what I recall as it has been a long time since I watched the drama). I found it baffling that a man found this nervous style appealing.

The actress was pretty good in “CEO’s Arrange Bride” though. She portrayed her mama-trauma very well and the love story was very beautiful in that story. I enjoyed that drama a lot.
