He has helped Xu Yan out of a sticky situation twice (the time her real parents came to town and then at the wedding with her professor) when it seemed her lies were about to be exposed. ML has me intrigued and bewildered.

Hmmm 🤔 interesting. Her ML in “Love in the Kitchen” was much older too though. The final edits of that weren’t too steamy, but the BTS were smoking hot. The age difference didn’t matter all. But, you could be right about the age the thing.
Good story development, good acting, great visuals. It’s the type of drama that you wish you could binge-watch right now, all of it. Zhao Lusi looks fantastic in this drama—the style, the makeup, the hair. When the maid and rich people call her shabby, I’m like where, how?
Is the ML a good kisser? I have not seen any of his dramas before. I like his sexy vibe, but his kissing style in these first four episodes (ep 1 and 4, I believe) didn’t seem that good to me. His acting is good though. Just my thoughts.
Yeah, I heard that Tan Song Yun backed out of the project because they were going to change the focus of the drama to the ML character when it was originally supposed to be focused on the FL character per the novel. They effectively made the FL character more supporting instead of a main lead character. So, I guess Seven Tan said, “Bye. Peace ✌️ out.”
Because it’s not an S+ drama therefore it doesn’t get the royal promotion like the heavyweight dramas. I’ll…
I’m not sure. It definitely got promoted more than this one though. It must’ve been in a higher tier than this one, but I am not sure why. There was a lot of buzz and anticipation for that drama. I believe the novel upon which it was based had been very popular.

I love how Xu Yan handled Fang Lei though. She stayed cool and calm and in complete control of the situation.
