This drama is a breath of fresh air. More than once I've said "so cute" out loud. I rarely feel such chemistry…
They’re both such talented and natural actors. It helps that they look like they’re playing characters close to themselves. He’s playful but not overconfident. (No more 25 year old CEOs please! Or ‘cool’ guys. Nobody actually likes boys who can’t make jokes!) She’s cute but not stupid.
Their micro-expressions are spot on. And there is so much emphasis on their small interactions, so we get all the cuteness and nervousness almost like in real time.
She’s making some really good choices lately. Her characters are not silly - SZ is young but she is not petulant and stupid and her male leads are good actors (Leo wu and CZY are excellent. I’m comparing to the actor in Mr Ling…). I’m beginning to feel like if it’s a ZLS movie it will be of a certain standard now.
After I couldn’t wait for the episodes, I started reading the manhua. And after I couldn’t wait for the manhua…
I hope they keep it like the novel. DJX fight with her brother and her parents disapproval , these are only small obstacles - at the end of the day they respect her choices. I’ll be upset if they don’t make it overly dramatic,
As a romance lover I gotta admit the romance felt unnecessary here and the Male Lead was a disappointing opportunity…
Same here. I thought it was unnecessary to have this sort of romance even though I love love romance. What was wrong with just having the tension between her and DY? They looked good together, serious, sombre, restrained. I also think his age gave him gravitas.
I hope either this upcoming drama or Sword and fairy 4 will be her breakthrough of the year. Hoping that many…
I like Ju Jing Yi, but I don’t think her choices of dramas have been great.
Legend of Yun Xi was excellent, her performance was great. Legend of White Snake was well acted, she was mature and elegant in that. TBRP wasn’t great, but I blame the script.
But Love under the Moon and Rebirth for You were poor. Her make up and clothes were fussy, storylines implausible and it began to look like her team cared more about her looking beautiful than acting.
I would like to see a return to form. I thought her acting in Yun Xi was brilliant.
"Both are very limited actors at the moment, not yet accomplished enough to carry xian xia or heavy modern drama,…
I just watched the trailer, I like it. Xing Fei has been directed well, she seems more mature. I don’t like her sort of happy vacant expression she’s had to have in a lot of rom coms. It was perfect in PYHOMS, but I didn’t like it in anything else.
The ML isn’t a great actor, but he knows his limitations and his market. Xing Fei, similarly, is best in light romcoms.
Both are very limited actors at the moment, not yet accomplished enough to carry xian xia or heavy modern drama, but what they are good at they are very good at. And comedy is not easy! (Not naming any in case I get hated on. But I’m sure you can think of some romcoms that don’t quite work!)
Both likeable actors! Don’t take themselves to seriously.
The wedding scene at the end is from the dream they had when YY went blind, which means that everything that happened…
Ah, I understand it now. That is a lovely way to wrap it up. Especially when you remember the scene with him and YD on the whale’s back and he says she’s the only one who can make his dream come true.
Very happy with the reunion scene. Not that bothered about everything else, haha. I loved the way they ran to each other and how he held his arms out and she hugged him😍. And the emotion in their eyes. 🥹Perfection.
I don’t think they’re mortal, as mortals going through the karmic cycle are born, they don’t just appear in human form. So they’re either spirits or lowly immortals.
I also don’t know what the wedding scene at the end is? Did they get married and he’s cosplaying as di Jun for it? 😅
On ep 59 why are they both wearing red? Did they get married or something? Coz I swear I didn't see any wedding…
I got confused too, since they’re most likely the wedding outfits Zhi Xi prepared (why else mention them in the plot?) . Why wear wedding clothes if no wedding? I’m just ignoring it as a rushed plot point.
I’ll imagine there was a touching scene where YD explains to YY they might die and cries that they’ll never be able to wear the wedding robes, but YY says they will wear them and when they survive the fight they will spend the rest of their lives together.
There was a part during the fight where YD says to YY they promised they’d spend the rest of their lives travelling together, but I don’t remember that. So I’m sure a scene was cut somewhere.

I just watched this on repeat about 50 times. I need help, haha.
