To me the story and acting are top notch but the production quality and cinematography fail badly in comparison…
I dont really hate the cinematography so far but the costume and set could definitely improve. It was meh

they said they didnt show it in the novel too. so fans of the novel are actually arguing if there was actually rape. It was implied though.

foxspirit matchmaker definitely is an S even just based on trailers. Plus that’s yangmi. But also, this got me minded that they got gong jun, zhang linghe and miles in that drama too. Too many popular actors.

For both OFL and SOKP, they actually lucked out in a way that they were able to cast the leads while they are less popular so I guess they were able to pay them less. Then they suddenly got a big bump to their popularity with TTEOTM and LBFAD.

For a possible A drama, they really maximized their budget well. Definitely not same level as TTEOTM, but looks better than some other A dramas. I agree that some props looks cheap, but they did so well with some scenes.
