Omg Lingbo is just annoying and rude! She threw words without getting any consequences, even though the FL just ignored her. Maybe she focused on bigger mission, but that girl needs a slap.
And Wang Peng needs to act more in this genre, Girl fits like a glove and her character is so interesting and profound to the whole plot. She can even be main charcater
Omg, with zero expectations of the leads, plots. I never thought I freaking loved the plots as a whole; it's driven, other characters are interesting & fl, not so much indulged in the feeling of the ML (reminds me of BL in KP). The first 6 eps are badly executed in directing & scriptwriting, but I'm glad I've stayed.
And the ending song is so good, kinda reflects the title ie the generation of the clans.
Ep 18 and love the FL steadfast in her boundaries lol, didn't immerse herself in her emotions as she has a bigger purpose. And also the fact that FL knows how they can't be together, even as viewers, we can see how much difference there is in their backgrounds & the impossibility
Ep 8-9 started to have better flow in plot execution, which for me is quite late. In the early eps of the drama, even up to ep 7, the plot and scriptwriting are poorly executed, with all characters thrown in just to fill the plot. It's not because of the number of characters, but because of the way the director wrote, directed, and edited the scenes. Its like the director is confused how to put the story together & what he/she really wants to really deliver.
But the drama has a good storyline which is becoming more interesting (now ep 13). I'm super invested in all the stories that don't involve the ML, so that means this has a good premise for plots.
From the trailer, surprisingly the ML actor kinda fits this costume drama more. Watched him in 12 letters and he was a good actor but has this youth vibes (most of his dramas) but this one, he kinda exceeds that.
the best airing kdrama for a while. This kept me on edge and im excited for the new eps every week! No filler plots, even sides charcater serves something in their screentime. Overall, a super good law drama for a while
At ep 20. SML has soo much dynamic as a charcater good or bad. Maybe the actor is actually senior good actor (man is above all these actors in this drama) & his charcater serves soo much purpose to the plot and ML developement.
Plus, his charcater has chemistry with FL, (put aside him being bad). FL is starightforward, smart & kinda match with SML, like it or not. They kinda compatibe as friend or even lover tbh. Im not shipping them cause 2nd lead sydrome but more on how they have compatibility if they really in a love plot.
ML is hard to love (x like), very closed, introvert, rarely show emotions. Usually we found this in female lead characters & old korean melodrama.So the FL being not overthinking, straigtforward, mature makes easier for her to love him.The breaking point for FL when ML not willing to give all of himself, living soo much in the past so what ver she trully loves.
She also very professional with SML, her actions is understandble and yeah, their personality actually matches as lovers lol. Hate it or love, 2ML add dynamic in the drama and not just a typical CDRAMA filler. Weirdly enough, I love the underlying way of who is the real 'you' on both ML and SML.
Rarely i regret watching thriller drama when its incomplete and this is one of it. Anyone who plaaned to watch this, better wait for more eps cause the plot is soooo damn engagingggg
Illogical in some part but such fun drama. But you can see the difference with Common law & Civil system where the judge involves in the investigation too. In common law, you cant even talk to a judge outside a court without official reasons, how they always have private path used in court that prevent them to talk/interect with common people/lawyers etc. The judge life is basically a secret from the public, you cant just 'talk' so casually about the case they're handling.
Ji sung is one of male actor who has been consistent in his acting and always pick good projects that fits his vision as an actor. Anyway what a GREAT drama, its keeping me on edge!
Will love the story more if they did reconciled only as friedns but the FL kept the distance as friends, creating boundaries & the ml is the one who chasing her. Them to only be together after the case wrapped up, the FL really distinguish her feeling as 'a fan' and her loving him as a real person while the ML ack it.
Usually 2nd ML in modern cdrama kinda just to fill in the filler plot ie love triangle nothing impressive but this, the 2nd male lead aura is SUPER GOOD Its not just the face, but his overall acting and chemistry with FL & he has plots to the whole story. Kinda have kdrama 2nd lead execution. Really2 love 2nd ML acting
& he's for sure the villain but he 100% attracted to her when he first met her in the lift. Anyway the whole drama is good cause everything is just smooth & not overreacting characters?
