I just realized something: HYY always acted in good dramas, even as a guest role. Her past dramas are mostly good ones and highly acclaimed.

Yes, I need more of these cliche dramas, bringing back all these old types of dramas in Kscene. And love Kim Soo Hyun soo much!

whoever never watch this, you guys really2 should watch it. Its a drama only exist once every 5-10 years. Like one of the most memorable taiwanese and romance drama ever.

Maybe not many new fans knows her but she was once a queen of drama. Once, Taiwanese dramas were much more popular than Korean, and she was at the top. You guys should really check out her old Taiwanese dramas.

Freaking love the flawed grey charctaers, the OG style of kdrama with more complex characters.

Nothing like this in kdrama scene. Its due to the scriptwriter Jung Seo Kyung who made the Handmaiden style, ie kinda movie type of scriptwriting even the directing.

That's why I said, it was my opinion & i dont disregard your opinion either on her acting. Many actresses are known to be pretty while crying, Moon Chae Woon, son ye jin, shin min ah & now, Hey yoon but i love their acting . It's just her overall acting style has not resonated with me yet. maybe this drama will change my mind.

my opinion-she's kinda want look pretty while acting? Im not sure how to say this. I love actress that can deliver different range of acting which I couldnt connect with her. But still, she's a good actress & i understand why people loves her tho.

From the way she speaks we can say she's a well educated and smart person. She actually had a full scholarship by one of the top uni. She has a long journey ahead full of success since she's very young. With her talents, Im sure she can be on top like Kim Go Eun as long as she gets good projects. For now, most roles she gets(aside from the minor early debuts roles), she actually gets a lot of awards but her old company didnt really promote her enough. Tbh, she needs to act in movies with veteran actors instead of new actors.

Its a sad truth tbh. Same as old popular romance drama, only the male lead will get the endorsements, hvg fan meet and tours etc. She needs to act with formidable veteran and talented artists to strengthen her name in industry. Now, she's in new company with A-list actors so im sure the company will choose good projects for her in future.

Korean loves her so much and call her princess (she has the vibes tbh) and her tears as the nation's assets. She actually has the korean classic beauty vibes and her method of acting reminds me a lot of old popular female actresses. Im sure she will always be remembered, maybe she's not no.1 in terms of popularity but she will be remembered as the talented HY.

She has Kim Go Eun vibes that can make her male costar shine. I think she has a special place among Koreans (Koreans call her Korean princess, and her tears are the country's assets). Maybe not at the top atm (she can be with her talent), but she's the only one, Hye Yoon, known for her talent to bring emotions into her character like no one else. I think that's enough for a female actress, and it's always been like that in kdrama since the target audience is female. Now I'm waiting for her to act with an older, well-known male actor, and I'm sure she will shine more. For me, many good-looking female actresses became popular and forgettable in a few years since they focused more on the physical aspects, but Hye Yoon, with her talent plus her classic visual (Korean even said it) she will be remembered many years later. Same as Moon Chae Woon, Im Soo Jung, Choi Ji Woo, Kim Go Eun, shin mi ah etc

Wow, that's why LOVELY RUNNER is good and has a good melo. He directed Flower of evil. I can see the similarities in the directing, especially how he approaches the emotions of the characters.

The scriptwriter imagined Hyeyoon as Im sol when writing this drama. Hyeyoon also connected personally to Im sol to the extent she felt too much sadness while shooting, making Im Sol as her own diary. She's seriously a great actress and deserves more great roles in the future.
