That is such a good news! I just finished ch 89 and the novel truly didnt give a lot of cute or sweet moments between them TT-TT my excitement for this drama just tripled after hearing this great news! <3

I love these scenes too, they aren’t just unnecessary scenes. They’re there to make us see how these three people’s growth and character development will amuse us. Since they will be a big help for Chang Yi and Yunhe’s cause in the future!

First, We get to see XueSan Yue experience how she will heal her broken heart through her bonding with Qing Jiu. While LingShu through a charismatic change in personality, he gets to have more depth as a vigorous character who also equally care for his love and not just on his true purpose. Especially now, we get a close look at Qing Ji’s cool character that makes her all the more interesting especially as the only existence that could match the power of the Grand Master!

The Fox Princess after discussing with the three boys, handed over a bottle of medicine to Chang Yi. An act expressing her “care” about his wounds.

Lord Chang Yi, with a straight and serious face, accepts it without second thought.

The gift was hinting something and Kong Ming immediately saw through her. But no one seemed to realise her thoughts except him. Kong Ming’s face instantly showed that he was thinking about something sinister. Ah, this princess likes our Lord Chang Yi, this will be beneficial for us.

Chang Yi sits down, puts down the medicine on the table, and immediately talks about the “serious things”. As if he only care about nothing except his plans. Is he on a hurry? Why? No one knows.

Kong Ming then followed him, sat down calmly, inspected the medicine and stated with sinister eyes, “ This medicine has good quality. It’s a waste to not “use” it. “ while glancing at His Lord Chang Yi.

Kong Ming saying these words with raised eyebrows will obviously make one think that his dialogue have a double meaning.

But the Lord Chang Yi beside him, didn’t seem to care and notice the true meaning behind his words. Even after finding these words as a bit weird, Chang Yi only glanced at him once, with a confused expression. And, without even a single reply. Chang Yi’s face only showcased a thought, What is this Kong Ming guy thinking?
Luo Suo too, didnt react upon his words.

In Kong Ming’s eyes, His Lord Chang yi is now a mature person after being heartbroken. While he see Luo Suo as someone with deep loyalty who only see his ShiZi.

But In that dark and narrow cave, Kong Ming doesnt realise that he is the only one who has the same dark humor and thoughts. A clueless man not knowing that he is surrounded only with innocent eyes.

Even if Kong Ming’s words doesnt have a double meaning, I honestly still think his dialogues in the drama seem to showcase his more “elder brother personality” to the other two boys.

Coincidentally, Luoluo also constantly assumes about Yunhe’s thoughts just like Kongming. Luouluo can also be called a “big sister” through this behaviour.

So I think Kong Ming in the drama is really a good match for our also equally intellegently presumptuous and loyal LuoLuo.

We as viewers, will definitely have a fun time watching Luoluo share or even bicker with Kong Ming about her experiences with her Yunhe! “If” it happens. XD

What if the dress shunde wore during her dance was really made from chang yi’s tail… *starts to panic*

I once thought that the nine black fox tails described in the novel was already dashing in my imagination. But seeing Ji Yun He having White tails with a mix of red was so stunning. Its glow brightly shined with the company of the moonlight above her on that cold bloody night. Through this, I was convinced to the core that the fear her tails entailed no matter the color, if paired with Dilraba’s spectacular acting would still literally make everyone’s blood run cold.

“Frighteningly Beautiful, Dangerously Strong, Breathtakingly Fast.” This quote perfectly defined how Ji Yunhe instilled fear and damage to everyone trying to take away hers and Changyi’s freedom that night. That slap on Ruling’s face was also too satisfying! Still, that was too little of a injury she owed compared to the torture she have given Yunhe and Changyi.

Changyi even after hearing all the lies Yunhe spouted, continued to hold her hand despite the trembling hands he used to hold it. The drama introduced Changyi as someone always faster than anybody else. He can hear anyone’s footsteps from afar and He can always immediately summon his sharp icicles to attack anyone nearing him. He always knew who was coming no matter the length of the distance from him and He always protected Ji Yunhe from danger swiftly through his power. But that night, he never seemed to dodge Ji Yunhe’s knife. He let her stab him. He let her throw him into a dark abyss. He never fought back. He was lost, scared and desperate but in the end, he chose to allow himself to fall. He never once resisted anything given by the only person he loved, and his actions that day proved this fact. Big Tailed Fish also died that day.

“The shattering of a heart when being broken is the loudest quiet ever.” The quote that accurately described Changyi’s dilemma that day. Ren Jialun, from “The destiny of the White Snake” to “One and Only” and now to “The Blue Whisper” - he never stopped presenting the best out of his characters. The cries shed from viewers because of this brilliant actor could fill a river by now.

What an episode!

JiNing! He appeared too soon, I was so caught off guard. I recognized him right away due to his dorky personality while talking HAHA. Ji Ning is Ji Chengyu’s favorite disciple so it would definitely be him who walked with Ji Chengyu when they accompanied Shunde in the Valley of Flowers!

If it is really him, I am nervous for his appearance. Dramas really are so fast-paced compared to novels. I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up with this pace and cry a river when this ends. TT-TT

Definitely not, only IF they follow the novel. Lin Cang Lan ang Qing Shu made Yunhe a test subject for years for their plan. Here are excerpts from the novel that could prove it.

“Not to mention Lin Canglan had never really seen her(Yunhe) as an adopted daughter. She was just a pawn under the old man, helping him do all the dark, unsightly deeds…”

“Refining a human into a demon, it is rare indeed. It’s been tried countless times, and the demon masters always died violently..." He stood up again with a condescending posture. "You(Yunhe) are the first exception."

“His(Lin Cang Lan) great cause, was it to refine humans into demons so as to resist the frost poison? So the demon master tribe… could once again stand at the top of the world…?”

Qingshu never seemed to be informal with Lin Canglan either in the novel or drama. The drama has also already shown Qingshu bringing young Yunhe(EP10) from outside to inside so the fact that she’s truly just adopted has a higher chance to be true. It was also always shown that Qing Shu only kept her feelings all to herself with Lin Cang Lan also shown “probably” in denial or just avoiding Qing Shu’s desire. Moreover, Lin Cang Lan was introduced as someone who’d only remain focused on being submissive to the court’s rules(Master-Demon relationship ban) until his death or just until his plan has been realised since he also need the court for the Frost Poison Antidote Supplies. My point was, both QS and LCL seemed to only focus solely on finishing their “great cause” and not really care about “love” in the novel and in the drama. :))

True! And “As You Wish” too is so enchanting to hear. I fell in love with all 5 OSTs so they’re on shuffle playing on spotify as I do my assignments 😅. I was so happy after hearing today that Sa DingDing also did a cover for Mao Bu Yi's "As You Wish”!

I initially thought my comments about the novel was repetitive... But It was always a delight to see your comments and replies here everytime I visit the page, it gives me the most courage to share my thoughts. I think you are one of the reason that my viewing experience TBW enhanced to the best.

I wasnt able to finish the novel… but Jinsang was alive and well upto Chapter 99/118 of the novel. I halted reading at Ch99… You see in the novel, Jinsang was introduced on the early chapters as someone who already experienced death once. But after surviving, she was more energetic, strong, and healthier than Yunhe! I am sure she will be alive and still be with Yunhe till the end of the chapter.

Hello! TBW Drama is more than satisfying, to be honest. It overwhelmed us with cute and comedic scenes more than those given in the novel. Just like what WK1 said, the drama is like the mirror of the novel despite the slight changes. Those slight changes didn't change the main conflicts of the story too much either. The casts has done perfectly well so I am saluting the HR managers of this drama for choosing them as the characters. I will just paste here what I commented in here in the past.

In the drama Yunhe, is able to freely express her thoughts more through the early appearance of loulou/jinsang. We know that in the novel, she was so lonely in the earlier chapters. Even though she has Snow March earlier there, she still keep all her thoughts and plans (nomatter dirty or good) only to herself most of the time. The drama didnt exactly remove all of that loneliness. This is depicted through the scenes where loulou, sometimes doesn't exactly understand Yunhe's intentions towards Changyi.

ChangYi too, gained more momentum in his character growth through the additional lines with Yunhe unlike in the novel where he mostly stayed silent. Also, he was more honest and open about his feelings of love about Yunhe in the drama- a direction much more acdepted by the general viewers in the dramaland. Moreover, Changyi’s integrity did not disappear since he’s still so very firm in abiding by his principles.

All characters in the drama perfectly fit all of the characters features in the novel. Loulou is exactly what I imagined her to be- intensely loyal, bubbly and clueless most of the time- still always manages to steal my heart. Changyi, the pretty and big tailed fish, a mirror of the looks cold-but is the- kindest of all noble merman. Yunhe, the mysterious, dreamy and determined warrior that deserve happiness the most. All of the casts introduced as the characters was a delight to see come to life that I feel like crying my eyes out of joy.
My point was that nothing in Changyi nor Yunhe really was considered too different from the novel. So the drama right now, has done a very good serialization of the novel.
