“Staggeringly strong; inexpressibly beautiful; love, hate, killing across 600 years of reincarnations. Koreans flat out “own” Netflix. And they can film it in strictest pandemic constraints because it is all in close ups of the protagonists’ eyes. No need for location. ”
- Filipino Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. describing Bulgasal

This was shared on twitter last Feb. 12 and was featured by Manila Bulletin-the Philippines' largest English language broadsheet newspaper by circulation. 🔗: https://mb.com.ph/2022/02/13/netflixs-korean-drama-series-awes-locsin-good-for-another-year-of-lockdown/

How he described the drama is definitely short but impactful. I read he also loved the K-Movie of 2020- “Night in Paradise” in the article. I say this man is an avid drama fan and promoted/praised the drama well with only a few words HAHAHAHA.
For me, Bulgasal could really pull on your heart strings, its very heart-wrenching from start to finish yet also beautiful and heartwarming at the same time. If you’re still contemplating to watch because of the ratings and mix reviews, you’ll miss a chance to watch this compelling and unique storyline.

Bulgasal and the casts may not be promoted well by both tvn and netflix but its actually still continuing and…
Just like you, I stated my honest opinion. Disagreeing to your disagreement is in no way immature. If we dont even have the right to disagree with you then you’re contradicting what you said about “merely stating facts” because I also did the same- stating facts about the drama by replying to you. :)) And Yes, I’ll probably continue to write many comments about my opinion too, thank you. :))

Bulgasal and the casts may not be promoted well by both tvn and netflix but its actually still continuing and is still rising within the TOP 10 RANKS. That is already a success and a proof that this is a very good drama.
If you creating an account just to say this and rate snowdrop 1.0 actually meant that “you read better script and story telling in amateur Wattpad stories than today's episode(ep 15)”, then your “damn ocd” needs immediate treatment because its worse than this drama. This drama doesnt deserve you. Smh. 🙂

Title Bulgasal: Immortal Souls Spoiler
Wonder if those 3 stabbed Hwal thinking he killed Detective other son..Eul Tae definitely could have said that…
I replayed the ending scene in EP12 where Si Ho was holding someone while crying on the ground with a scarf on the head and it matches with what Aunt Hye Sook wore 1000years ago according to the trailer for EP16.. So I think aunt hye sook died in the hands of hwal in the past and they stabbed him out of anger for killing her…. 😭

IMO, Bulgasal has two main issues:The main story arch is very difficult to follow for most viewers. It’s like…
I saw what you did there, Ok Eul Tae as Hwal’s partner….! im wheezing again help 😭

You should make a review swansong! I seriously am amazed at how good you are at making points throughout all of your comments. I also love how you are so good at narrating what you feel without making it too positive nor negative. Like for real your remarks are persistent enough to make your statements stand out more while in the middle of the arguments.

From SangHwal, we transfered to HwalTae ship after EP15 in a flash. I still cant process that scene in my mind…
Yes but it was like the drama was forcing us to leave sanghwal through that one scene rofl 😭

Are they filming a spin off of BL drama “I want to bite you”? 🤣
That scene really made me say “Did I just watch the wrong drama??!! OET’s eyes for Hwal is too weird for it to be like that?? 😭” Those two boys really made me realize how much this drama has deprived its viewers of romance . 😭
On Bulgasal: Immortal Souls Feb 6, 2022
It’s our fault for watching a thriller drama and expecting romance. 🤡
NO OTHER DRAMA CAN TOP BULGASAL’S CONFESSION SCENE. THAT SHIT HAD ME GASPING FOR AIR

Sang-un taught Hwal how it is to be human — her empathy, compassion and kindness have been a reoccuring theme in the series. She has been the person to show him warmth & kindness, that protects & saves him. This is why he will always keep his humanity no matter what.

His character was nurtured by Sang-un’s warmth & kindness. While 600 yrs ago, ppl treated him like a monster, she has always viewed him as a human. Whatever humanity Hwal learned 600 years ago, it started growing as he finally learned how it is to love & allow himself to be loved

And while Bulgasal Hwal has committed horrors that Sangwoon was not able to prevent, I’d like to think that this story is how he will redeem himself from his past — how he will break free from his self-inflicted curse while keeping the warmth he has lost 1000 yrs ago.

This is very beautiful <333 and I love how she/he also perfectly interpreted the changes in Hwal after he met Sang Woon TT-TT <33

Sang Woon and Hwal are really very well-written and amazing characters to me and to the people on twitter that it baffles me how much there are only so little comments about them here in mdl.
I love you whoever you are who wrote this wonderful narrative about them. <333

For me its like an 8.8 right now, 9.0 with a satisfying ending.
There’s nothing to apologise for but I understood what you meant. We all have different point of views afterall.

Bro, this is definitely not a direct copy. This discussion will end if I narrate to you why you’re so wrong. Your comparison was actually invalid since you compared this to the wrong drama. Hwal was not cursed. He was the one who started everything. The shamans words only signifies Ok Eul Tae and BulgaHwal’s promise of finding each other and meant to mislead us into believing BulgaLady was the villain. She could not break him from any curse because there wansnt any curse in the first place. She wanted him to end everything himself(since he started it too) so she stole his soul so that she could make the Bulgasals whom she thought “both murderes 1000years ago” kill each other. Until, her incarnation got split into 2 and the one who has no memories remained alive so the story started to revolve around how the misunderstandings will be cleared through her incarnation who became closer with him again like 1000 years ago. The villain does the misunderstandings, murders and evil and his end/redemption would mean they can finally be free to do whatever they want-in short, a happy ending.

Bro “the dramas watched” genre or number is definitely the wrong mindset to decide whether a drama is good or not. The drama is good for us but that doesnt mean we have the wrong opinion and you judge us base on what we watched. Peace.

True, but then you also said "Hwal confirmed" meaning we never got to see Dan Sol's side of the story; everything…
I think Dan Sol’s point of view not being able to truly love Hwal was already obvious after their son- a’chan’s sickness drove a wedge between their relationship; when she knew about Hwal’s first love and; when she said “You’ll die first before you find her(BulgasaLady).” —- She told these words to Hwal with hate and without any care nor worry for his intention/journey. If Dan Sol truly loved Hwal, she would’ve atleast feel worry for him, feel jealous at his first love or also atleast ask why he’s always avoiding her.

The fact that Hwal always kept on avoiding Dan Sol by making Monster Hunts and his curse as an excuse made me see that Hwal only feel Familial love and not True Love towards her. Hwal’s Love for her is really unlike when he is with Sang Un where he always has the urge to touch her hair even while she’s sleeping. Hwal also only kept on dreaming about Sang Un only and SU was the only person Hwal kept on drawing instead of Dan Sol.

I admit I also felt that Hwal really loved Dan Sol but this feeling was broken after Dan Sol said “You’re a monster who don’t have feelings.” to Hwal and when Hwal himself didn’t even drew a portrait of his wife signifying that his love for Dan Sol isn’t that strong… which lead me to conclude both of them did not truly have romantic feelings for each other.

Since TVN is yet to release all OSTs, to fill the void I started blasting Ruelle's songs...and I just realised…
Same here! Ive been listening to Ruelle’s songs too ever since I saw an edit about Hwal and SU <33
Also try adding “When Fire Meets Fate” and “I get to Love you” to your list too xD! They match scenes in the drama too. :))

The more I think about the last scene, the more I appreciate the symbolism behind it. The staircase leading to…
Indeed, almost every scene are meaningful in this drama especially during those when the both of them are together. This scene and their body language portrayed so many emotions-pain, numbness, regret, love and warmth or more and I couldnt even put everything into words more beautiful than you did.

Also it looks like my guy Eultae was just trying to retrieve what originally belonged to him o (his soul) 🙆‍♀️
He doesnt want to retrieve it, he wants to destroy it so he can be a full bulgasal….. and if he destroys it, sang woon would really die……
