Without any hesitation, she allowed herself to get hurt just for this guy who might even be the very cause for all their suffering in the first place. For me, their ill-fated bond is not the main point. Notice how aunt hye sook went from being an annoying shaman into a caring mother figure for the four of them and how despite the revenge Hwal harbours in his heart, he always hesitated to kill Sang Un every single time. It’s not how their curse tied them together again. It’s also not about revenge. It’s how these four orphans made each other feel loved and cared for while being together in that one small house. The fact that they chose to come back to that haunted house despite the danger shows how much lonely their life have been for a very long time until all of them met each other again.

(1):>What if OET’s father’s armies raided the village then killed everyone because of OET’s lie of BulgaLady killing his brother. BulgaHwal saw the massacre so he killed them as a revenge since he knows BulgaLady loves the people. If this was the case, how did BulgaLady got all the blood on her if she didn’t take part in the killings? It’s also weird the BulgaLady acted like she doesn’t know what happened before she fell unconscious on the ground and just immediately concluded that BulgaHwal killed everyone.
Remember when SU is having blackouts everytime she is threatened and forgets everything after? What if it was also the same 1000 years ago, and BulgaLady was really the one who did the massacre and Hwal only took the blame for her since he cares about her. When BulgaLady woke up, there’s also blood all over her clothes, her hands and even on her face/head. So there’s a possibility that BulgaHwal decided to fake the blood all over him, fake his smirk, and fake stabbing a dead body infront of her so that he could take all the hate from everyone since that time, monsters are clearly hated by people.

(2):>What if because of Ok Eul Tae’s lie about his brother being murdered by a Bulgasal, the villagers decided to hurt BulgaLady. If so, BulgaHwal probably snapped(killed everyone) after BulgaLady let herself get hurt (if ever she didnt fight them back) which could also explain the blood all over her.

(3): If it was a revenge for every villager’s death, I think BulgaLady would atleast have not cried nor got angry and blamed it all on Hwal. So if this was the case, I think they had a conflict even before the massacre that lead them to not trust each anymore.

Eul Tae cannot destroy the soul inside Sang Un for some reason -probably because Hwa Yeon did something. By hurting Hwal’s family as a hostage, he is forcing Hwal to destroys Sang Un’s soul instead.

The shaman was the one who spread the rumor and prophesized he was indeed cursed. So Hwal believed what she said is true and concluded that his son bleeds from his eyes and his daughter died still born —because BulgasaLady cursed him. In short, Hwal believe it’s a curse of death to all of the people connected to him. But from the latest episode, it seems there is still more to unravel from the story -the curse might not actually be a curse. :)

Maybe its because of watching Chinese dramas for the past years before this, I always feel that each episode is too short. 🙃 Chinese dramas tend to have more than 40 episodes;1-2 episodes per day as they air and now it is so depressing to me that I have to wait 7 more days for the next episode. 😭

Yes! everyone is doing perfect in their roles and also agree that there is actually nothing to complain about. Being too concerned about accuracy when you watch in truth, take away the fun and entertainment. Its important to just enjoy without looking for their flaws but rather to see the good in them for me. That’s what makes watching dramas amazing in the first place.

She is San un’s past self. Yes she is a bulgasal as well (in the past) but she didnt kill Hwal’s family. No one knows yet how hwal’s family died but it is definitely Dark hole who killed Hwal’s family.
