actually, since its a romance drama. I suspect that her boyfriend might actually be evil and this is why she gets…
You could be right. I've seen dramas with it starting like this the FL has a boyfriend(SML/Antagonist) already then the ML comes back to her life and she ends up with him. I hope that's the case here. Or her boyfriend is actually good all along and the ML is the evil one from the start.
I kind of misread and thought Kame's character was the one that suddenly showed up in her life again from the past case. Although it could be him. The part of she discovering the truths of what her friends actually are makes me worry they did something bad.
I wonder why Kame isn't cast as main lead with Satomi here too
I just realized what the plot of this drama was now. I got too joyful seeing Satomi and Kame cast in a drama together. I really hope they end up together as a couple here.
Just reading the plot makes me scared for Kame's character. What if he is the suspect and villain all along 😭. Not looking good already with her having a boyfriend at the start that isn't Kame.
Do you have any recommendations with dramas like this?
1 litre of tears - sick FL Taiyou no uta- sick FL Algernon ni Hanataba wo (2015) - disabled ML Beautiful life (2000) - sick FL Yuuki (2006) drama special - sick ML Her love boils bathwater (movie) - sick FL Koizara (2007) movie - sick ML Perfect world (both movie and drama version) - disabled ML
The Japanese original version of this drama is a masterpiece to me. I can't believe it's getting a remake.
Anytime there is a drama announced with a ML that is sick, I get excited. Because it's rare to find dramas with a ML that is sick. It's one of my favorite tropes in dramas. I have high hopes for this drama now
Her diary was sent to Yi Jin's address because a flashback scene of Yi Jin having 2 ID cards since he thought he lost his original when he found it. He gave one ID card for Hee Do to keep and she put it in her diary that was lost.
I kind of agree why did he give her diary to the book shop owner he used to work at. They should have mentioned if Hee Do still liked to read and check out Full House series from that shop. That could be why he gave the diary for the book store owner to keep when she came but he just forget maybe since Hee Do stopped coming to check out books there?
Finished it. First 9 episodes are absolutely amazing. 10/10 for sure. Lead female just amazing. I think could…
I actually kind of thought so too. Probably after episode 10 the drama felt a bit different to the first 9 episodes. It's because after episode 9, Yu Rim and Hee Do became friends and the friendship group began. I thought their friendship group was ok but didn't love it like most would.
Once they became friends, I kind of lost interest in the fencing. I was into the fencing story how Hee Do was motivated to win her first gold medal and beat Yu Rim to be her rival.
Just like you I did forward the last so episodes a bit. They were good but not as great as the first 9 episodes for me.
Dropped after 4 episodes. I watched it for Seol In Ah since she is a main role here but WTF man. I didn't expect what they gave me in these 4 episodes. From the description, cover photo, title name, and clips of this drama I expected a calmer chill slice of life drama.
The FL is gonna commit suicide with the ML's brother until she finds out he did it first. She tries to save him but is too late. She called her mom and she came to the scene to help cover it up. Also he was ending his life because he killed people and his mom who is a judge covered it up.
The mom judge realizes most of the truth of the FL, I think. She doesn't reveal it to the public because her life would be over since she covered up her sons crimes. The FL has to live with this guilt for her life then. She was bullied and had bruises. A reason why she wanted to commit suicide. Her father is god awful and sister is a freaking gold digger. The other rich ass characters are annoying and god awful to watch.
I took a peek at the 5th episode and the quality kicks in of you expect a weekend/morning drama would look like. Sooooooo many unbearable/terrible characters that I will not sit through to watch. Scam might be a word that fits this drama. The clips of the FL and ML looked good man. Their introduction here was good enough too. How did it go to such awfulness like that?
if only this drama was shortened to their screen time only.
I gave up on this drama at first after the first episode. Tropes that I hate in dramas where it happened here are the misunderstandings where the ML is misunderstood as a pervert. It upset me so much I stopped. Then I ran into a drama slump so I went through my list of dramas I dropped/not interested/on hold and gave this a chance again. Sometimes it felt slow to me where not much happens and we get light fluff stuff from a drama that had a dark mystery. But I liked the drama especially the sad backstories.
One thing that probably I only cared for was that they didn't show a scene of Jae In emotionally waiting for her father as he leaves the prison as a innocent/free man now. Her father was framed as the culprit and she had to suffer all those years. Moments like this is what I love about dramas and I didn't get to see her tearing up hugging her father knowing she solved his case along with proving he was innocent.
I assume Naoki dies in the train since he didn't get off or he fell a sleep. I think he just fell a sleep and forgot to wake up to get off. Because what reason is there for him to just suddenly die like that.

At the end of ep 7, did she forget or is in denial that Seo Wan died?
