Baek Ah-jin’s cruelty and manipulation aren’t born from pure evil — they’re defense mechanisms shaped…
Exactly...I mean to have an alcoholic abusive mother and a father that constantly tries to sell her (for prostitution no less) is itself a formative and traumatizing experience. She also doesn't strike first, she strikes back. Except the coffee shop guy but he basically offered himself up and she took him for his word. It was wrong only in that she should have come up with a better strategy and target but her father stole her tutition money and kept ruining her life.
Kim You Jung is such a beautiful and amazing actress! I just want her to be happy even if her character is (understandably…
I do think that the plot of having someone else murder her evil father was too convoluted. I guess her tactics in that case relied too much on chance and felt like they weren't clever enough. With a father like that she could have gotten rid of him without all that, working from a different angle of his debtors maybe. So it seems like just to make her bad that she implicated an innocent.
Kim You Jung is such a beautiful and amazing actress! I just want her to be happy even if her character is (understandably with that family history, so awful) so messed up. So far at least she doesn't strike first, she strikes back or takes people at their words (like the really hot older guy who say "use me" which is intense thing to say to someone you just met).
Also if if Ah Jin could have a sweet ordinary life with Jun Seo and Jun Tae Oh, that would be lovely,
Just skip all the boring extraneous scenes except for main couple and second couple. I was trying to figure out why the main couple are so pretty and likeable but lacked a bit of tension. I think part of it was the childhood crap trope (just kill it with fire writers) and part they they are so similar (chill, nice, kind) that they seemed to lack defining personality traits or even hobbies (and the design stuff was so superficial that it didn't count). Second couple had more tension because they had some clashes over life views.
Small handed goblin acts like a psycho villain from a comic book superhero movie. JCW is excellent but what is this story and plot? Hopefully gets back on track after the "GTA 6 episodes"
Am I the only one who doesn't like the last couple of episodes?
No, you are not the only one. It went from normal poor guy gets screwed over but will use cleverness tactics and revenge (maybe like Glory or Again My Life or Reborn Rich) and instead went to normal poor guy becomes superman after 4 years in jail. At this rate they should just send stupid people to prison they will come out mechanical engineers and have infinite lives. Just video game nonsense.
What a horrible character for the FL; all we get for the first 4 ep. is yelling non-stop. Also, I haven't seen…
Since Extraordinary You and Alchemy of Souls, Jae Wook has been cursed by subpar stories and mismatched FL. At this point just have him star with Hye Yoon or Jung So Min again at least FL will be charming instead of abrasive\crazy,
I didn't think I would like this because I am tired of high school dramas, but this has been excellent. It is more of a slice of life than high school and all the characters are great. Cha Woo Min not being the or a ML is a crime, he is so handsome and charismatic. Seon Ho has such a sweet and gentle character, really great lines. Actual ML looks way better without the funny bangs. Lee Jin Hyuk's face being hidden (thus far) is also a crime.
I love Mint Girl (finally not portrayed in a stupid way) but she has a drinking problem!!! Like it feels very weird that she has to be rescued from black out drinking so often.
I usually love Se Jeong and her over the top acting but this drama seems to be the most predictable mashups of these kinds of dramas with randomly thrown in modern day stuff that isn't even funny?
I didn't like these Squid Games with cars in the last two episodes. Hopefully ML will finally escape. And the villain…
I agree, it looks like they just ripped off some of Batman movie with the villain character having access to the entire cell network and being cartoonishly evil...he just needs to start laughing like a ostrich or something next. ML is such a great actor but the show went from mild realism (the escape plan was kind of cool) to just Car Games and fantastical stuff. The actor who is killing people is like just doing everything, it's too much (vaccines and murder scenes and cutting off fingers like its too much).
JCW and Kim Jong Soo are great. The story is..unrealistic would be the word so it started off as more realistic and quickly became fantastical or impossible lol (like a superhero kind of thing). A guy gets hit that much in the head and face and you expect some brain damage. The main villain (Yo Han) seems very awful in acting and just characterization.
Just to catch a glimpse of Seo In Guk (please do more main lead projects), what was this?
The editing was awful so even if there was a coherent plot, it was a mess. The fights were often boring and repetitive. The main actor who co-wrote and directed it is not main lead material. He looks really old and overweight (instead of muscular or like a tiger).
So many great actors given so little to work with still doing their best. Such a waste of talent, time, concept, and potential.
Also Korean movies often pairing the ugly overweight guy with a fairy like beauty is still mind boggling to me. Do they see themselves in the mirror before even daring that?
Also if if Ah Jin could have a sweet ordinary life with Jun Seo and Jun Tae Oh, that would be lovely,
He's a pedofile and he and his cousin are really disgusting predatory people who will experience exactly what you describe.
My conscience is clear but yours is rotten isn't it?
JUSTICE FOR KIM SAE RON. JUSTICE FOR SULLI.
