On Please Feel at Ease Mr. Ling Jul 14, 2021
A great start, a messy and draggy middle that picked up in the last 2 episodes but nevertheless a “trope-full”, painfully cringey at times, finish. Adding so many second lead story arc was unnecessary. I honestly felt that the show was on a mission for the female second lead to have as much exposure, if not more, as the main lead. It could have been so much better but I digress. Many mentioned the ML’s stiff acting, my personal thought was that it was part of his character which I thought he delivered quite well but could be better for sure. I hope he gets great opportunities in the future as he is fairly new to the field. What I did notice was how many times him and the rest of male actors in suits always button and unbutton their suits…lol! I wished that I spent 10 of the 24 hours elsewhere.

Ep. 11 - This is a solid episode, one that sees Yong-Tae face the bitter taste of betrayal at the end. It’s…

I’ve watched the main leads in other projects, and they were great! I would have loved to stay and watch how the mental health issues were resolved, or at least how the ML coped with it at the end as it obviously started when he was really really young. I thought it was a good anchor for a plot but but….the turn of events were too just too trope-yand cringey for me that I am giving up …signing off at episode 9.

I really wanted to like this because it was short and the plot sounded promising, but alas I dragged myself through the last five episodes. I think my problem with it was the timeline. Too many major events in a span of 5 short years and the main villain’s age was a little off so it wasn’t believable for me. Acting was so-so for the main leads, the second FL and the little girl were the stars in this field. Love the “real” kissing scenes but I have to admit that some were forced and dare I say awkward?

The culture in sports have always been just that, support your team and boo the opponent, all in good spirits though. It’s unfortunate that young athletes nowadays are pulled in the “you have to win no matter what” mentality and lose sight of what sports truly bring to the table. Please don’t tell me you haven’t booed or distracted any opposing players playing against your team. Watch the NBA or NHL, it’s not difficult to find it, yet they still shake hands at the end. A true sportsman leave everything on the court after the game so please let’s do the same, leave the drama on TV, enjoy it and just have fun (at least I am). Peace y’all.

Not everyone’s cup of tea for sure but I find it quite unique, insightful and just plain honest. I loved it! I look forward to a season 2

Hey, I just finished episode 1 and I am concerned that I won’t have any heart left at the end? Did you get to…
Yobo, I came back to update you that I just finished the entire season and my heart is still intact. It kind of broke a little in the last episode but it was worth the 10 hours of my time. It is a beautiful story, unique and quite insightful. Lee Je Hoon made it bearable by bringing the story to the light side. Don’t be scared to finish it :) fighting!

As much as I like that the writer addressed bullying in sports I thought it was out of sync with the flow of the story, it just didn’t connect for me either.

I’ve been having fun with C-dramas since the beginning of the year and your categories just upped my understanding level and lengthened my PTW list in a good way. Thank you for a simple and yet very helpful read. If you are in mood for another good Cdrama to watch I would recommend You Are My Hero, full of fluff and no big misunderstanding.
