Previews for ep 15-16. If you see a younger guy, its the creator of a dating/soulmate startup app that FL is helping with for her project in order to get into the investment team at work. Dunno if ML helped behind her back or not or someone is plotting because FL has never met the guy before but he recognized right away? From previews something must have gone wrong again and FL is put to blame (another setup?)

I think someone made assumptions after seeing the previews for ep13-14. Since the original post was made well before those episodes even aired. For anyone who finally watched the 2 epis, they would know that was never the case.

Ex husband also loves his current wife (ex gf) too from flashbacks of the lawyer girl. It seems like he didn't want to leave his hometown to go study abroad w/ her and only broke up w/ her so he wasn't her stumbling block. But looking at how they are living now as husband and wife, I feel may be they still had issues that still needs working out.
The synopsis provided at the youku website mentions the head of the company An Yu is now working at (the man who brought in Mo Li) had sights on her father back then so who knows what devious plans were in the works back then.
I think he/she meant how many epis will air per week or day. I didn't see a schedule on the drama's weibo page either. Checked youku and based on google translate. For VIP episodes will be updated for 5 consecutive days w/ 1st day 6 epis, 1 episode every day after. Non members epis updated for 3 consecutive days w/ 1st day being 2 epis, and 1 epi each thereafter. Starting July 13, VIP 2 epis every Wed thru Fri, with nonmembers 1 epi every Wed to Sun.
Just finished episode 1. I really like it, especially that not everything was thrown at the audience all at once--the flashbacks have me want to know about An Yu's past i.e. how was she involved in a finance crime that sent her to 4 years in prison, how An Yu and Mo Li know each other. I'm getting creepy vibes off of the Jiang Hao Ran character (supposedly an acquaitance of An Yu when he worked under her father?)
As a mystery lover, I think rating is about right. Plot development and pacing were unbalanced, too much focus…
If it had faithfully followed the novel, we would only need 3hrs at the most. Plenty of family squabbling. The family didn't even know of the existence of an illegitimate child. FL's focus was on the person who started the fire (as it destroyed whatever image or what she had known of her lover), then her "lover".

And her greatest mistake was attempting to kill the equivalent of Li Si Xuan in the novel. In the novel this character would be the niece of Gao Hong Zhi, who has a crush on him. Her cousin Gao Zi Jian is in love with her. When the 1st fire happened because she heard a noise she thought her beloved Uncle was the 1 who started the fire. So when FL returns in the guise of an old lady announcing she has the last testament of FL before committing suicide, the girl trying to protect her Uncle goes steals the letter from FL room. Only FL had set up a hidden camera just for this reason (the videotape only had enough time to capture 2hrs worth, and FL accidentally fell asleep before changing it, but luckily at the end of tape, thats when the girl goes in and takes the letter). So FL goes to girl's room (forget if she had stolen the master keys earlier or she had a set of keys because she was the secertary), chokes the girl only to find out the girl was already dead (killed by Lin Zhen Hui equivalent) by knife to the chest. Surprised, she falls down making noise. And nephew whose room is right next to niece heard it and comes out to investigate. FL unable to leave thru the door escapes thru the sliding door that opens into the gardens. All this time Uncle is dead asleep in his room across from niece because she had put sleeping pills in his wine so he wouldn't know she left her room to go steal the letter.
When the body is discovered, police arrive, autopsy would reveal death by knife yet there are signs of choking the victim after death.
And her other grave mistake was when she attempted to dye her hair so it be that of an old lady's. The dye job (she did it herself, not at a salon) was so horrible she had to cut her hair and her hair was left in patches. She finally got a wig (and wished she had that from the very start as it was so realistic). Strands of her real hair get left in the nieces room.

she killed the equivalent of Lin Zhen Hui (stabbing with an ice pick several times then letting the woman die in the outdoor bathhouse spring) in the novel just hours before she ended the life of her lover and herself. The detective was even giving her a chance to turn herself in, but she wanted to complete her final revenge (on her lover). I felt her mind likely became a bit deranged and obsessed with revenge after the fire that was set to look like murder (her's) then suicide (her lover). Not to mention her taking great lengths to fake her suicide and pose as an elderly lady. She basically had no intention of living beyond realizing her revenge.
In my opinion , I think this drama as an adaptation decided to focus more on the romantic side of the story rather…

Thanks! In episode 1, Gao Guangyi received a note and infant cap right? Therefore if Li Hao has one which he always have with him, then he wouldn't be Gao Guangyi's son. And Cheng Da Wei would be Cheng Cheng's foster father.
Thrown for a loop that the other illegitimate son of Gao Guangyi has been involved in that particular capacity.
So is Li Hao not actually the son of Cao Guangyi? At the end it mentions that though Cheng Cheng used Li Hao's razor it was his DNA that matched with Gao Guangyi.

Editing definitely is lacking. Main lead should have been Cui Shan, instead we get focus on the police investigators. And the young female detective is annoying--if she hadn't suggested the medical examiner to seek her college classmate...Think the police/detectives only appear in 10-15% of the novel.
ML joining hands with one member of Gao Family to find out about the culprit seems a pretty naive move for me.…
In the novel, FL after faking her suicide, is taken in by the president's confidante's widow. In this case, I'm guessing it could be the woman whom FL went to see and persuaded to give her control of the vote earlier in the drama.
The drama just gave us 1 twist so far--who would expect that Lin Zhen Hui would also have a kid with Gao Guang Yi and he doesn't want to give any inheritance to this child (whom he knew of all along) but okay for the other.
I wonder if Lin Zhen Hui truly understands why Gao Guang Yi is doing all this.
Also, in the novel, FL knew who had choked her (her lover) since she wasn't technically asleep, so may be in this case, she would know that the one who tried to kill her isn't the ML.
