I avoid many cdramas (and many early kdramas and jdramas too) because many of these dramas lack consent - ML will grab FL's hands, kiss without consent and so much more. One thing I like about WX X ZYZ is there's consent in everything they do. As far as I remember, I don't think ZYZ forcibly grabbed her hand or did anything weird. He always listened to her and treated her with respect without expecting anything in return. I enjoyed their banter after a long day. (That scene from Episode 10 is one of my favorites, when she tries ZYZ's jade water drink for the first time). Though I would have absolutely loved more skinship but with consent. Their relationship screams healthy and mature.

I watched couple of episodes of Back from the Brink. Not my kind of drama but his acting has improved a lot since then. He commanded presence in FoF and delivered wide range of emotions almost as if this role of ZYZ was exclusively made for him. I can't imagine any other actor for this role.

I'm not forgetting Zhu Yan anytime soon. These days I have started watching other HMH's dramas to fill the gap.

The weather's been dark and gloomy with intermittent rain for the past 4-5 days, and it makes me think of ZYZ.

I started watching "I am nobody" yesterday. I've completed only 2 episodes but the plot looks interesting, plus we have HMH (His Highness Ming Hao, that's what I'm calling him henceforth). I'm going through a massive FoF withdrawal. Everything on screen looks too mundane right now.

Well said! The biggest strength of this drama is the deep bond and mutual understanding they build slowly but surely through the series.

I haven't watched MJTY completely. I dropped it after watching few episodes back when it was released but perhaps I should revisit it.

I really want a Part 2 but this director probably doesn't have history of doing that.

I'm going through FoF withdrawal. I miss our sarcastic drama queen, witty old monkey ZYZ, our very elegant, very demure Baize Goddess WX, and our fiercely loyal, disciplined, stern-looking softie ZYC. I also miss our selfless mountain god YL, our archer with a soft heart PSJ, and our very brave in-house hamster turned doctor BJ. I miss them all. I miss going on adventures with them. I miss their banter. I miss their silent loving gaze for one another. I miss their loyalty. I'm going to miss FoF for a while. I also need to get around to write a review but good to see that rating is again up today.
