They were in the middle of many things plus LL caused them so much trouble so very less motivation for them to apply the sundial trick to LL. Also, no one would want to spend hundreds of years in the sun dial for LL. They only "saved" him on ZYZ's request very reluctantly. However, with ZYZ it's a whole different story. Anyway I will continue to be delusional. 😅

Doesn't blood count as a part of ZYZ's original form? He's an ape afterall. They can't carry around his other body parts (very gore and gruesome lol) but I think his hair/blood probably would count.

Also, ZYC has the truth eye - another thing that belonged to ZYZ originally!

So one caveat is that someone will have to take that contract into the sundial and wait for him for another ~100 years (assuming ZYZ's cultivation rate is similar to that of LL). Perhaps this time, Yichen can volunteer. because I don't want WX to spend another 100 years in there in agony.

Omg both of you are onto something!!! Please pass this message to GJM. I would like another season of this trio. A slice of life-type cutesy drama where WX and ZYZ are living their quiet relaxed life.

ZYZ never really got to know that WX spent 300 years cultivating the tree for Baize token, and now she will wait even more for him to cultivate and ultimately reunite with her. She really kept waiting for so long.

I can't listen to Return After A Long Dream (OST) without feeling emotional. Damn. OSTs can be so impactful. I had scenes from FOF replaying in my head.

ZYC is now a demon. He has a very long life. Plus, he found ZYZ towards the end of EP 35.

Completely agree! They were the highlight of this drama for me. Also, found relationships - between Wen Xiao and her step father, Bai Jiu and Yichen, those relationships were portrayed beautifully too.

I absolutely LOVED that in his last moments when he came to rescue ZYZ and ZYC, he looked same as how he was before he went down the wrong path. So much symbolism in that one.

Agree! FOF has meaningful relationships between friends, brothers, sisters, parents, etc. I would also say that WX and ZYZ's relationship is very beautiful. Love is not always about physical touch, but about a deep mutual understanding at a fundamental level between two souls. WX and ZYZ have that. ZYZ held true to his promise.

I want to add that infinity is a very very long time that humans can't comprehend. Death is not always a curse but sometimes can be a blessing.

FOF is my top 10 of all the dramas I have watched ever. I will revisit it often in the future to relive some of the happy moments.

Exactly. I'm glad they gave us that opening. ZYZ will return and will have his HEA with WX and Yichen in the future.

I just wanted another extra episode with ZYZ's eventual physical return and him reuniting with Yichen and Wen Xiao.

My brain is honestly frozen.

Everyone is overwhelmed as expected but I would say that it's a meaningful ending as many characters died meaningful deaths for people that were dear for them -- Ying Lei for Bai Jiu, Bai Jiu for Yichen, PSH saving PSJ, WX's step dad for her, Qing Geng for Fei, LL for the Wilderness and for ZYZ, and finally ZYZ to save all people including the ones near and dear to him (though ZYZ will eventually return). ZYZ's death was fated because of the BingYi clan's curse but it's not a complete death. He will return. 💜
