i know the name iblis may not seem deep to other people but its just feels as though they couldve completely avoided this i wouldnt say this is straight up islamaphobia however it does feel a tad ignorant i do still plan on watching the drama and hopefully the name doesnt stay throughout the show or preferably if they omit it all together!! ive been waiting for a second suzy and woobin collab since forever and i just miss the actors individually tbh ☺️

my point is attaching the name of a satan thats basically the main villain of my life in terms of my belief to a character im supposed to enjoy and like its just super weird + it didnt even make sense to call him that itd be more understandable if in 'My Demon' his name was iblis even though i still wouldnt rock w that.. also the point i was tryna use with hitler is so people who werent muslim would understand my argument of why using a name of a person thats done evil things and use it for the protagonist almost seems like its idolising the person ygm?

i understand that but why couldnt they just give him a normal arabic name then it didnt need to be iblis is what im trying to say

the problem is that i WANT to watch this drama and it just seemed so unnecessary to name him after the islamic devil?? which is very much a mention of islam..

exactly he isn’t even a demonic creature they probably just thought it was some cool name to call a character so ridiculous

they literally named the main guy iblis.. why would i as a muslim want to see the main character have the same name as the very satan that does all these evil things it’d be the same as naming him hitler it’s just odd

each to their own but there wasn’t anything spectacular about this drama the characters are very flat and the romance didn’t have much development nor did i feel their chemistry i know some people prefer to have a smooth sailing romance with no misunderstandings and love triangles and so do i but i just felt like it all happened very quick.. the cases weren’t that interesting either and some of the conclusions reached were unreasonable. i could ignore this if the rest of the plot was intriguing but it wasn’t
And the whole ‘proving my dad and prince jin is innocent’ was just shoved in the last few episodes when you’d expect it to have more importance
overall it’s a mid watchable yet forgettable drama.. something to pass the time ig

when cha seonchaek and prince gyeongseong got together i just rolled my eyes the entire time idm corny but this was a whole other level not to mention how she became so boring after they got together 💔additionally that weird ass plot twist with eunae being an opp was so forced.. the entire show she was a sweetheart and she even had her own ship going on.
this is a problem with a lot of manhwa turned kdramas - you can’t just make a 12 episode drama based on 100 chapters that’s why the mood of the show felt like it changed so dramatically because they were trying to fit everything in.. this is what i’m scared of when the remarried empress comes out coz it only has 10 episodes 🙁🙁

this drama is lowkey so fun it doesn’t take itself seriously and it reminds me of classic romcoms

i got to mid episode 4 and i’m REALLYYY not into it i was tryna get through it for park bogum but honestly his character here is so mid i think this drama just falls flat ok every aspect - the romance, comedy and the action. i’m gonna try my hardest to get through these episodes and if it doesn’t get any better i’m gonna ditch it.
