i’m on episode 9 and i’m not really getting the hype tbh i think the romance and pretty much everything else is a bit boring

lowkey the last few episodes that i watched would’ve been so much better if i cared about tingyan or sima jiao or even their relationship ugh this drama feels so weirdly long i swear cdramas have been a bit iffy this year

in a lot of rebirth/reincarnation/transmigration dramas the fl will only be confused for 1 minute and then roll with it however this drama actually had her questioning for 2 episodes which i can appreciate

ALSO the weird switch in chu zhaos character was so odd i was on episode 33 and it already felt like it was ending.. all the bad guys were exposed they’re together the second couple also get together so i was wondering what these writers were gonna pull for the next 3 episodes and it’s genuinely such bs and so unnecessary it just seems like they needed to fill up the 36 episode quota so they made chu zhao some obsessive second lead even though he literally already saw them all close together and hold hands before and brush it off so why when he saw them kiss he crashed out?? you could skip the last 3 episodes imo

icl their romance was kinda boring and xiao jue himself was such a lackluster character which i guess makes sense because this drama is more about he yan the female general but even so maybe if there were more episodes it could’ve been better a bit disappointing overall though
