I was actually enjoying this through 8 episodes, then 9 and 10 come along and like WTF? It was always fairly well done but those last 2 episodes just lost me with the ridiculous plot lines.
I had my reservations about this adaptation, mainly due to the age difference between the 2 leads. But I must say, I have been pleasantly surprised and August is an utterly charming leading man in the role of Hero .I also like the changes they've made in the story. It moves quicker and they've adapted it to the Thai lifestyle nicely.
Not even one episode is out and people are already complaining! Never a dull day at MDL's comments. 😁 GreatInn,…
Seriously, right? Its ridiculous to compare period BLs to one another, especially since they are so limited to begin with. Is it fair to compare all office romance BLS? or University themed BLs? all high school themed BLs? And I'm gonna guess that given the slate of releases gGMM TV has this year, the budget on this might not be what is needed. But i'm pretty sure it'll be fine.
Through episode 8 and all I can say is each episode is better than the previous one. My tears flow multiple times each episode. The story is so nuanced. The acting is extraordinary. It is literally a masterpiece. Why do KDramas always do this to me?
For people that are curious on what Thai fans think here you go:https://x.com/captainginny/status/1786649939659178440?s=46&t=MaRvJHjMr1pMc_8WBVSxEwhttps://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8M1yBQf/These…
Sorry, but nobody is gaslighting anybody. Changes had to be made in order to make an adaption that worked for a series. It's fine if you don't want to watch it then don't, but don't accuse them of disrespecting the source material when they are just setting out to make a fun BL with a message.
After high school frenemy GMM TV has to realize the amazing chemistry between these 2 leads and eventually place them in a BL. I would hope they would be open to that as actors and realize what they have together and how it translates on screen.
Thank you. I really appreciate this review! I think too many BL fans are accustomed to a set story line where there winds up being kissing or romantic scenes sprinkled im or at the end. As you mention, this is just a slow burn character study about these 2 men at different places in their lives. I think it was told beautifully, filmed beautifully and acted brilliantly. Bls can be so much more than just following a previously expected pattern. They can expand and be about romance and not necessarily ending where we want them to as fans, but be more slice of life. I honestly hope we can see more shows like Lost in the Woods that focus on the characters and the production which seem to be sorely lacking in many Thai BLs recently.
I went 100% blind on this series. No trailers, no sneak peaks. I didn't event knew who was on this. So, what happened?…
Just started this today and I already have a different vibe from it, then the typical Thai BL. As you describe the setting is unique and beautiful. The acting is on point by both leads, and the story just flows naturally. I hope we can get more stories like this and nothing against Ton( he's great in this), but with 2 mature looking leads, like Nammon, who, as you suggested is long overdue for a lead role.I'm not sure why his talent is so overlooked all the time
I was shook. I have seen some pretty explicit NC scenes in my Thai BL career but I think that's the first time…
Definitely seen nipples getting licked before. But this is the first time I think I've ever seen the finger play with the nipple....oooo, did it just get hot in here?
