Hahahahaha! XD Seriously I can't get enough of the song that I absently sing it while I go out about my chores. :P My daughter has even downloaded a sing-along music video of the movie version. XD
Both of Brendan Coyle's roles were rebellious. The only difference I see here is that he's a peasant and in N&S he's a mill worker.
You're nearly finished with Introduction! I hope I can marathon that this week!

Go on ahead. I think I'll catch up watching Intro of the Princess in a few days. I've just recently caught the Frozen bug and now I can't get Idina Menzel's 'Let it Go' version out of my head. XD
Hahaha! So we're Shaggy and Scooby now? XD
By the way, I've started Larkrise to Candleford. Really liked the first episode and Brendan Coyle plays a similar role here as in North & South. I am developing a huge crush on his crinkly eyes and cute grin.

Hahaha! Just imagine what will happen when the two of us watch a scary movie: you'll end up in my lap and I'll scream your ear off! XD
I saw one clip of a Sailor Moon musical with Shirota Yu as Tuxedo Mask--it was so awkward seeing him tall, thin and singing. XD To tell you honestly, I can't recall if I've seen any beyond the original. And I think Robotech might have been aired on TV but I never watched it.
It's not a bad idea to watch or read scary stuff during the day if you've got things to do after, then the principle of forgetting it by night would work. As a general rule, I never watch scary movies alone. And when I do watch with other people, I tend to scream the loudest! XD Hurray for dogs as best roomies. :)
We just watched the live action special for Ranma recently and that's what made my daughter continue watching the anime. I haven't tried the live action series for Sailor Moon though. I loved those three animes, and talking about them makes me want to watch them again, esp Macross.

At one time, I became attached to X-Men but it waned through college. My fondness for anime lasted longer and until now I still love a few series Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2 (my 6-y.o. is currently marathoning Season 2--she won't let me watch my movies lol) and Macross.
The last live action superhero series that I got attached to was Heroes. But I haven't finished Seasons 3 and 4.

Those movies really were meant to be scary. I tried rewatching Silence of the Lambs with my eldest who was watching it for the first time, but I chickened out. I think I was only able to watch pieces of the last installation but I never got 'round to watching it properly.
Oh I enjoy superhero movies and series but not as I used to do. I used to watch Wonderwoman when I was a kid hehe and I watched the Superman movies I through IV. Voltes V was probably the oldest anime I could remember watching as a kid. Of course there were other series on TV like Astroboy, Daimos, and then Voltron. And there were the live series like Shaider, Bioman and Masked Rider Black. Towards the latter part of high school and then in college, I got into anime with the influence of my cousin (who up to this day remains a dedicated anime and manga fanatic).

When Elinor broke down when she finally understood that he was single, I couldn't help but laugh when their mom, Mary Ann and Margaret stood up and were awkwardly nudging at each other as if they were telling themselves to hurry up and leave. Hahaa! XD
I liked it when Mary Ann said thanks to Col. Brandon. He strove so hard to win her heart and she finally saw his sincerity.

I suddenly imagined the petite grandmas in the animes I've seen! :D Waaaa! Two rosy-cheeked Buddha babies! Kawaiiiii! :D
RF's roles are really insane. From Amon Geoth to the one he did in Red Dragon and then Voldemort--I'm not surprised the young cast of HP were so intimidated by him!
I haven't seen the Batman films with Christian Bale as Batman. Maybe I'll try those hero movies sometime. I've got so much catching up to do. I haven't even completed the Iron Man series. :P Kekeke!

I'm good then. I liked the movie version and thought Elinor was a combination of Elizabeth and Jane Bennet. More like Jane in her temperament though. It's amazing how people can be so patient!
I've never seen Kate Winslet play an obnoxious role but she really was effective and she reminded me of Lydia in P&P. The movie was really scenic! I liked the rolling hills, the tree house, the old cottages and manors.

I always had this impression that Russians were fair-skinned and dark-haired--I think that is an attractive combination. But I never thought them to be petite. But still, I can imagine you as Snow White with that description! :D Lol at the Buddha statues--they must be cute having smiling eyes and rosy red cheeks.
Wow talk about internalizing a role! You know, that's one thing that fascinates me the most in actors. I wonder how they could get in and out of character. Because I have this belief that for one to be able to internalize a character, you have to give up part of yourself to allow the other person to grow in you. That's the reason why I liked Park Ki Woo so much in Gaksital. He had this twitch he does and he had all sorts of emotions written all over his face.
I can't imagine Ralph Fiennes being sane after the roles that he had done. The man must be a psychopath by now!

I have just finished watching S&S 1995 movie version. But I was wondering if this was the version you wanted me to watch because I realize there is a 2008 BBC one which I overlooked. And surprisingly the description said the screenwriter of the TV series wanted viewers to forget the 1995 Ang Lee version. I don't know what to make of that since I haven't read the book. I want to hear your opinion, unnie.
I'm up for The End of the Affair tomorrow. :)

On the other hand, he was dashing in Valmont. It's so weird to see him without wrinkles. haha. And whoa, Annette Benning playing the b*tchy role--my first time seeing her like that! My only concern was that, they weren't half as convincing without the accent. I really liked how they acted but the absence of the accent was distracting.
And gosh the cast was--young! XD Fairuza Balk and Henry Thomas...wow!

Well I don't blame her for not being able to write. I mean her family members died one after the other and that pretty much will drain the life out of anybody. And they shouldn't blame the poor man. Everybody from the Bronte family left him. After all the siblings died, his father-in-law followed and died even before he did. Nicholls couldn't walk from the devastation. Tragic story.
Yesterday I had a Colin Firth back to back movie. I watched The King's Speech and Valmont afterwards. It was great to see CF act as a prince struggling with a stammer. They did it so simply and yet it was so good.
Part two up next!

It HAS been ages ago! 15 years since and his hair isn't as voluminous now! Haha! The hair was fine. The corset was...whaaaat!? What would men need corsets for?? It was so weird seeing him in it.
Oh I haven't read that! All I know is that they all died. I read some more about Arthur Bell Nicholls and I think he became a very sad man after Charlotte's death and seemed even more devastated when Charlotte's father died--because he strove so hard to gain his approval for her hand in marriage. And to have everybody in the Bronte family die before him--so depressing and yet also weird.

Have you seen Austenland, unnie? I love the P&P reference there--in particular, BBC's P&P. Complete with Colin Firth life-size standee! XD
I haven't watched The End of the Affair yet but knowing that RF has an eye for spectacular characters and amazing stories, I will give it a shot! Oh but unnie, I don't like Wuthering Heights. :( I'm sure he made a great Heathcliff but it's the story. It's so depressing! I've seen two versions and they kind of made me feel wretched.
But I promise to watch S&S and The End of the Affair. And rewatch Becoming Jane! :)

I can't understand how they can give awards like that to drama couples who clearly had a bad relationship in the drama--it's not exactly what one would call 'Best Couple'! But you know how Korean TV stations always give the popular awards to actors who made their ratings go up, it's the same with that, I guess.
Tae Pil and Nam Yeol are one of a kind. Korea's society is conservative and having a noona-dongsaeng relationship is quite unconventional! Now that and Tae Bum and Soo Young being married complicates their relationship all the more! So I'm not sure where Soo Young's mom would place her feelings in all of this.
Haha! I don't mind the sarcastic comments--they made me laugh! :D

Me too! Q__Q Those two has become my top 2 BBC classic adaptations and I don't think any one has topped Colin Firth in any Jane Austen adaptation that ever came out on BBC. I did watch a few including the 2007 versions of Persuasion and Northanger Abbey. Rupert Penry-Jones and JJ Feild are both charming in their own ways but CF has set the bar for me and the closest actor I can think of who portrays a character so well in a classic rendition is RA.
Though nowadays I find myself moving back and forth--watching Colin Firth in a day or two and then going to Ralph Fiennes to watch his films during the days when he had thicker hair. XD Oh and I recently watched The Reader and my God, did it blow me away!

I watched Onegin yesterday and was surprised to find Ralph Fiennes in curlers and a men's corset! ._. It was a romantic film but I find Liv Tyler lacking in emotions. :P She doesn't know how to be passionate and act with her eyes like RF does.
Omg, because of that I read that bit where Charlotte Bronte wrote letters to that married man--who was their tutor. Funny thing was, she got married to a man who had a 'poor financial status' and that Mrs Gaskell used her connections to help improve the man's conditions. And the said man's name was Nicholls--does it ring a bell to you?
