no wonder I couldn't find it. I was searching for 'Legend of Lu Zhen' and all kinds of Legends came up! XD

Are you planning on watching it? Let me know if you do.

I just visited viki and got distracted at George Hu's pin-up on 'Love Around'. And then I saw a previous drama of him and Annie Chen, 'Love, Now' and sort of wanted to dive in but then I saw Love, Now was 72 episodes waah!

I think I saw this the other day.

I accidentally hit Submit lol!

Gao Zhan is Gao Wei's dad. And pretty much, he also did take the throne from his older brother, became a retired emperor who worked at the background while he made Gao Wei acting emperor.

Is it licensed at viki?

It's sad Faith turned out the way it did. Just watching the trailer, you'd already know it could have been those epic dramas not just because it had great cgi effects but because the story is so intriguing, it attracts people.

Gawd, I want to scratch her face out every single time she flashes her hateful smile. I already lost objectivity. She did too much of a fine job! O___O

I initially tried looking for Gao Wei first but there was no mention of Zheng what's-her-real-name. Gao Wei's reign was described as a state of decadence and when the neighboring Northern Zhou invaded, he was captured in the south. Feng Xiao Lian indeed appears as Gao Wei's concubine and wikipedia says historians refer to her as the reason of Northern Qi's downfall.

Interestingly, she's a dancer and she played the pipa (the stringed instrument Zheng Er plays). So it's pretty accurate. I had to stop reading lol!

Huwaaa! I'd like to see more of George Hu! I appreciate how he acts and maybe later I'll browse some of his interviews. Kyaaa~~! A cute nerd with a Chinglish accent! :D

Just a few days ago (when the episodes were unbearable) I resorted to reading history about what happened to Gao Wei and was really expecting a Zhou invasion (maybe it'll happen near the end). But I wasn't prepared for Zheng Er's creepiness. She wields so much power already, it's a wonder how she doesn't think of poisoning the emperor. She's just indescribable!

I found Xiao Dong's demise disappointing and heartbreaking. Disappointing because he has done so much to protect her and he died at a time when Xue Wu has just lost the Fourth Lord. Heartbreaking because he never hesitated to shield her and ultimately gave his life for her. :(

Xue Wu has gone through a lot in this period. It's a miracle she didn't have a miscarriage.

I was actually enjoying how George Hu did a fine job being desolate. I somehow just can't imagine his real voice having an American accent. :D

Aiya, you stopped one episode short. I was waiting for you to discover something. XD ~~Kekeke

I'm at Episode 40 right now and couldn't stop watching because finally, the drama is showing what it should have shown throughout its pace.

Xue Wu's disposition at the latter episodes is better now after all that she has been through. I'm waiting to see if there's any more twist in the story, because at this last stretch, they've managed one that got my eyebrows up.

His Majesty's appearance was short but nevertheless, I feel he will have longer scenes in Ep 35 and I hope what you said is true...I will watch it now! :D

My dear, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about writing a guide to LLW. The drama's second half doesn't feel like LLW anymore and should have been titled Gao Wei and Zheng Er. u_u

I'm terribly sad the drama had to dwell on this tangent. My only consolation is what happened in history. I just hope they give His Majesty ample screen time!

No prob! :) I'm happy you're not in the least bit distracted about the princes' hairstyle. :P Happy watching!

I could still take Gao Wei because he's understandable and Xhai Tian Lin plays his wimpy character well. But Zheng Er, killing that palace maid was unnecessary and a waste of airtime.

You mean Jafar? XD XD Hahahaha! Ohlawdie, when he appears, my eyes hurt! LOL But I was actually thankful I had to deal with watching him rather than Zheng Er!

Is it me or LLW just became an ordeal to watch! Gawd. Episodes 31 and 32 shredded me to pieces. Imagine sitting through 10 minutes of airtime to watch how Xue Wu have a conversation with that witch!

I keep waiting for His Majesty, I've already finished Ep 32 and still no YWY! TT____TT

Thanks for the compliment! :) I'd love to read the book too! I read a summary of the added epilogue the writer wrote in 2011(however it wasn't incorporated in the drama) and the story continued on to their children. It was touching and poignant. I can't describe it fully.

This is the link to the helpful guide which prodded me to watch the drama: http://mydramalist.com/article/2013/05/31/a-guide-to-bu-bu-jing-xin#.Um74efkbAW4

No, I'll take your word for it! :D Kdramas, whether they're sageuk or modern, tend to drag in the middle and then rush the ending. I didn't even like Seung Ho's character that much in QSD. I wish he'd play characters his age range. He's 7 years younger than Joo Won and LMH but his characters are far more mature. I guess I'll have to keep WBDS shelved for the meantime.

This is one awesome lengthy and loaded stalker's guide!

I grew up watching Jackie Chan movies and could not remember all the titles except for Drunken Master because the whole family watched it every time they replay it and of course we kids used to mimic his shifu's moves LOL!

I'm a bit surprised he did City Hunter and played an undercover womanizer (that didn't sound right)...because from then 'til now, his roles pretty much stayed on the wholesome side. :P

Jackie Chan to me meant that all Chinese people know martial arts. ~~kekekeke You're not Chinese if you don't know kung fu! XD XD

Definitely! I don't know if you've read the MDL article about it...It was a Guide and it was a great introductory piece to BBJX. Among the actors, I found Kevin Cheng very passionate (well, they all were! It's just that he really stood out). Nicky Wu's character is leaning a bit on the two-dimensional side but still very much into his role.

Yuan's character has his own story to tell as well as the other princes in the drama. So there are side-stories that complement the whole. It's also based on a known novel by Tong Hua and has real historical characters with some real historical events. I'd like to add that it doesn't even matter that it's a time-traveling drama because majority of the time happens in one era, and it doesn't dwell on that element. :)

WBDS has been sitting on my ptw for forever but I don't start a sageuk right away yet. What are your thoughts on WBDS?

There is indeed an upcoming version of Legends in 2014. I don't know if it will stay true to the book though.

Yes, Yuan Hong is busy as a bee! I guess that just shows how good he is. His acting is so immersed in his role. In Bu Bu Jing Xin, he plays support and he is subdued there. Legends is an earlier work but he's more noticeable here because other than playing second lead, he displays a range of emotion that I just can't see in Hu Ge.

You like Ji Chang Wook? I haven't seen him in anything yet. Maybe I need to start...ooh Smile, Dong Hae, 40 mins per ep...wait, wahh 159 EPISODES! @___@

They say this adaptation had changes in the characters particularly how a few of them evolve into villains. Yuan Hong is doing a great job being villain-ey with all his facial expressions and desperate martial arts action. I'd like to see Hu Ge in another drama (where his character uses his brain for a change! lol) because if I stop here his acting in this will stay in my head and discourage me to watch him in anything else. :P

Woah, you're about to finish Scandal! So fast! I need a sweet and light drama I can marathon today. I just don't know what to pick though.

SJS in that mv just left me speechless. I don't know what to think. He's so not the frowning SJS in dramas. :P
