Very good production. The story, direction and acting were all just right. It's not at a Joy of Life or Evernight level but still very good and worth watching.

Light and entertaining drama but the acting and direction leave a lot to be desired.

I watched the 60 episodes version available on YouTube. It started well but somehow started dragging in the middle. Also, whoever did the editing hopefully went back to sxhool. Scenes were suddenly cut in the middle of dialogues and new ones started in the middle. The screenwriter and the director were probably very fond of operas and dramas, since some dialogues and scenes seemed coming from old stuff.
Furthermore, despite based on real History characters, the script was miles apart. The real people were probably turning in their tombs. So, all in all, it's watchable but be ready to spend large doses of suspension of disbelief.

Does anyone here know anyone in Amazon who manages the Prime Video content? Amazon messed up the episodes and apparently skipped episode 4 or 5. The numbering and description are indicating that either episode 4 or 5 are missing. I could not figure out how to contact them to ask that.

Thanks! I see that episode 5 just came out. I've got used to the whole series coming out complete and doing binge watching.
It looks like I'll have to wait until the whole thing is available and then watch it.

It's the same with Netflix and Viki. Viki got worse recently by taking a very long time to upload the subtitles. Some series' episodes have been completely released but it takes Viki more than a month to get the subtitles done after releasing the last episode.

Excellent movie. Outstanding story, production, direction, acting, OST that made a masterpiece. Just watched it again, I forgot how many times.

Nice redoing of the 2017 movie. It was a good production, acting and direction. However, I was expecting more in terms of sound track since there was a lot more time to insert many more music, both western and Chinese classic. However, it's worth watching and I'll likely watch again in the future.

None of the two. She met a new one at the end of the last episode and her love cell came back, indicating that there's a new possibility, hence my comment about the series leaving open a possible season 3.

I did not read the books. Making my guess based on what appeared to be cliffhangers such as the Joker card. It seemed to me that there was more to characters who were close in the virtual world but did not know each other in the real world would have a story going on. Also, that girl who (apparently) died and was undergoing surgery, and apparently still alive, still can have a story.
Anyway. Maybe just wishful thinking for a third season. 😉

Take a look at the last episode again. There are a couple openings for a 3rd season if they decide to make one. ;-)

OK for entertainment. Acting and direction left to be desired in a series with too many plot twists, some of them really pushing basic common sense.

Interesting drama with a different kind of zombies, which were a combination of standard zombies and the Star Trek's Borgs.
Acting could have been better but the overall effect was good enough.

Is Search a remake of this one? The two stories feel very similar.

The second season was better than the first mostly for the plot twists. Great rollercoster ride. Everything felt just right. The OST was a great ice on the cake.
I hope they make a season 3 and keep the quality. The cliffhanger is there. :-)

I watched a video on YouTube today saying that. Apparently the FL, ML, and several other actors of season 1 will play their descendents. That will be interesting if it really happens.
