I have only watched 2 episodes, it serves it's purpose of being light and fluffy. I am a fan of Ling Yi so will continue. But I understand it's probably not to everyone's taste. Just try a few more episodes and see if it gets better, otherwise just drop it.

Maybe you should try a different drama of hers. I fell in love with her in LBDF and she was great in it. LBDF became my all time favorite. I accept her as she is and have watched all her dramas since.

So true, I have seen quite a few people who just finished HL complaining about TFF. They were just not ready for the 180 degree change of the vibe or the fact that SY is a totally different character.
I am loving this new song in the recent episode: There Is You Amidst Raindrops, it gives me a nostalgic feeling. I first heard it in the scene when SY checks out Yifan's room at her Aunt's place, it is such a terrible place and this song added so much more sadness.
