In this region, iQIYI is currently showing this series along with My Stubborn, Deep Night and Playboyy. I’m certainly getting my money’s worth out of this subscription!
This series is one of my happiest surprises of 2025. Winny and Satang are such natural performers that at times I completely forgot I was watching two highly talented young actors and not a real prince and his lover trying to find a way out of the emotional turmoil their relationship was causing. Everyone involved in That Summer can be really proud of what they’ve achieved. Special compliments to Neo, one of GMMTV’s most versatile performers, and to Gawin in that uniform outside the palace, easily stealing the title of Spunk of the Series from everyone else in it.
This series is a total hit with me, one of the best I’ve seen in five-plus years of watching BL’s from GMMTV. All six main roles are beautifully performed and the island setting, the storyline and direction fully deserve every bit of its justifiably-high rating. Satang and Winny are a revelation. Their one-on-one scenes are so natural and believable they’ve had an emotional impact on me like Tian Xu Ying and Zi Yu did in Revenged Love. 10/10 and definitely worth much more.
I’m fudanshi, love BL’s, been watching them for around four years now. Like Minato in this series, I was once hit on by a drunken “straight” guy in my local gay bar. He was a bodybuilder who was getting married (to a woman) two days later. I don’t know if he remembers our one-night stand, but I certainly do - I was very young and naive and completely sober! Unlike Minato I never saw him again and am looking forward to future episodes of what looks like it’s going to be yet another highly watchable Japanese BL.
My same-sex partner and I binge-watched this entire series and absolutely LOVED it! In our opinion, Korea does romantic gay videos like this one better than anyone else.
I’ve been really intrigued by the two episodes of this series released so far. I’ve honestly tried and just can’t seem to become interested in vampire stories, but this one is truly creepy and menacing. The mentally warped atmosphere seems to have infected both patients and staff and at times it’s set my nerves completely on edge. I’ll be sleeping uneasily waiting for the next ominous instalment.
Thanks for your opinion, but calling a show “a piece of crap” crosses the line from criticism to plain disrespect.…
Criticism accepted, comment amended. I still have to learn not to give sleep-deprived, negative opinions on series immediately after watching them late at night.
I’ve just finished binge-watching three episodes of this and that’s all I’m prepared to sit through. In my opinion the script, the acting, the directing and pacing are all completely underwhelming. Dropped.
There’s nothing new about a main character becoming unrecognizable with only slight alterations to their appearance. Anyone ever heard of Superman? All he has to do is change out of his blue leotard and put on a business suit and a pair of eye-glasses and nobody including his girlfriend has the remotest idea that he’s also Clark Kent.
I’m just sooooo impressed with Green’s outstanding portrayal of Ramphueng. It’s the first time I’ve seen her and I’m not surprised at all by the lengthy list of acting credits listed in her bio.
If the overall quality of this hugely entertaining first episode keeps going for the whole series, I’m expecting it to be one of the big BL hits of 2025.
In many GMMTV BLs, the first couple of episodes are fine, but cracks start to appear in the storyline around episode 3. In this entertaining, often really funny series, Winny’s butt-crack makes its debut right on cue.
This series has the best opening episode of any action-type BL I’ve seen since KinnPorsche. Daou and Offroad only have to look at each other for their pheromones to burst out of the telly and make me feel like I’m a 15 year-old who really should have a parent-proof lock on the bedroom door. Can’t wait for episode two, 10/10.
The finale plotline in this otherwise hugely entertaining series is ridiculous. No boats in the Philippines would ever leave port if they knew they’d be heading straight into one of that country’s notorious typhoons. Second, Kyle’s involvement in a three-way with two spunks who just waltzed into his bedroom through the unlocked door, shortly after he had declared his undying devotion to Andres was highly improbable to say the least, no matter how drop-dead gorgeous they were. Oh hell, what’s the use of denying that I’d almost certainly have done the same thing? Us fudanshi sluts just can’t be trusted.
This is beyond all doubt the worst BL series I’ve ever forced myself to watch, which I intend to do until it ends. The entertainment value in it for me is entirely due to the constant incredulous laughter it’s serving with its unbelievably bad script, the blank-faced, expressionless responses from the entire cast to whatever is happening on screen and the feeling that it couldn’t possibly get any worse but it always unfailingly does. Who needs vampire series when we’ve got horror shows like this one on offer?
Hermoso is one of the most entertaining Pinoy BL series I’ve ever watched. The frequently shirtless young males in the cast are exceptionally gorgeous, generally finding themselves unable to keep their hands off each other whether they’re at sea or on land, which is more than OK by me. IMHO this production deserves a much higher MDL ranking than it has at present.
